Only "Christians" who don't read the Bible like they should would be offended by a person saying I'll stick with the Bible especially when all he said is when looking for Jesus he chooses the Bible not a movie
When I was newly saved I watched the first season of the Chosen. Loved it. By the second season I had enough discernment to understand that it wasn’t something I should expose myself to. Thank you Holy Spirit!
me too...I couldn't get past the 1st part where the children ask Jesus where he got his money.....and he say's ' I make toys and sell them " that was it for me......!
The Chosen is encouraging many people to seek Jesus. It encouraged me and I’m a mature Christian. God can use anything for His good. I enjoy the show. I think it’s a person’s depiction of what it could’ve been and it’s a pretty good depiction. It’s good to see what I read in the Bible come to life, but I don’t take it as replacing the scriptures, I can see how things were switched around for effect, but it doesn’t change the benefits of what the show had done for me. I’m in the Word daily, before this show, and this show has only encouraged my faith.
Hi! I just want to say that for me, this show was a significant factor for me to be so incredibly curious and hungry for the real word of God. I grew up in a home with witchcraft and all sorts of nonsense. I am Mexican but I did not grow up in catholicism or Christianity. I grew up seeing so much hurt and pain. Cartels, murders, trafficking. Så, I had a hard time believing in any religion. I had some tiny spark of curiosity, but the show certainly ignited that hunger to know much more. I do not see the show as gospel and that's why I seek the word of God in the bible, but what it did say to me was... that Jesus is the light and the truth, the perfect son of God and the only way to salvation. But most of all, that God is love. This is my own interpretation. I wanted to know really, with my own eyes what the bible said and it's a million times better than any show. 😊 I gave my life to Jesus on the 23rd of June 2023, I have been reading my Bible almost every single day and I've shared the little I know with my family and friends. I am too new to the faith to say anything other than God works in mysterious ways. God bless you gentlemen and I thank you for your honest opinion. ❤
Praise the Lord for your salvation! I pray you are spurned in the right direction of understanding His lovely Spirit, that you learn and use your spiritual gifts, and that He teaches you proper discernment/doctrine. When I was a baby Christian, a similar thing happened when a bad representative of Christ lead me to the Gospel anyway. I easily could have been a false progressive Christian convert since I watched Sid Roth and other false teachers like Maro Brisson. Thankfully, the Lord lead me right and I pray the same for you.
God bless you, gram. Yes, God can use any means to bring his children home. When we know and understand more of the Holy Bible, we put away things like "The Chosen", as it is anti-biblical, but for a seeker, it may be used for the glory of God.
Wow! What a testimony! Praise the Lord. I have watched “The Chosen” since the beginning. I see it as another avenue to bringing people to Jesus. I like that they use the scriptures….and I’ve read the Bible completely. I also like that they use clergymen from different religions to compare notes and during discussion they are able to make choices together to portray the stories that would be pleasing to God. They are reaching out to so many people around the world that may not have been exposed to the word of God. I do not see them making themselves into any graven image. Jesus came as a man and lived as a man even though he was still Holy. Many of these actors actually pray before starting their day of acting. They also pray for guidance in getting God’s word out to the world. Please don’t get discouraged over any “naysayers”. You just follow what the spirit says and listen to your heart. God Bless you Brother.
Stick to the Bible, brothers and sisters. Teach your kids the Bible. We must be able to discern between right and almost right. If it’s almost right, throw it away and cling to truth!
Absolutely right! The Bible is all we need not people's books and movies. Especially in these days when the Bible says there will be many false prophets and teachers.
@gospelchurchworld2429Dallas says Christians and mormons have the same God, false. Dallas says he prays with the mormons, which god are they praying to? Dallas creates a jesus that is a unity jesus and not the jesus of scripture.
@gospelchurchworld2429No he's not He doesn't even belive in Christ divinity He's seeking to lead astray the fact that the lead actor is a knights Templar says alot exposes the true connection between them masons and Mormons, do some study and discern, like Paul warned, there will be ravenous wolves who come into the church who will not spare the flock
As someone who hadn’t picked up my bible in years, The Chosen drove me to want to read my bible to see how accurate it is. It is a show, but for me, it’s a show that has got me on a journey of faith. How many other people are on that same journey because of that show that would not be without it? If you’re already a church going, bible reading Christian, I can see your point, but that wasn’t me. If I had seen your video before I saw the show, would I be where I am today. Probably not.
Be careful of your words spoken Justin and WWUTT is a catholic church, who do they worship, Mary, not Jesus. Be careful who you worship, it should be Jesus not his mother!!🗣
100% agree. A baby Christian and I know The Chosen isn't biblically correct. However, it does give me an outline and keep me away from content that is far more destructive to my relationship with God. I can also see that The Chosen is a vehicle to get nonbelievers to consider coming to Christ, starting to read the bible.
When I was about 20 years old, I watched Jesus Of Nazareth movie with Robert Powell as Jesus. I was not a believer and this movie moved me one step closer to accepting Jesus. I cried my eyes out in the end, realizing that I was a sinner.
I agree with Bible portrayals. Passion of the Christ where everything was in Aramaic and true to scripture I think it showed today’s audience the Gospel in picture form. But obviously the Bible is the greatest evangelical tool. God can use movies if He chooses. Jim Caviezel was struck by lightning, caught pneumonia and had a heart attack or something, didn’t he?
@@mitziclark7488Oh no! A detached holier than thou version. ..no Jesus, or YShua as He was called, was a Jew and the best portrayal of that is in the Chosen. At last!
Against my better judgement, my son and I attended a Mormon church here in Ontario, Canada by invitation from a missionary. The first half was a woman speaker and her main message was how wonderful the new temple was that they built in Toronto and that she had been there and she went on and on about the temple. They served communion and it was water and a wafer... which we didn't take. The second half of the service was like the Sunday school lesson and the young missionary who taught it, read mainly out of the book of Mormon and the Pearl of Great Price. My son, who went to a Baptist bible college asked them a few questions, one of which they could not answer. I wish I could remember what it was!! Anyways, they were the nicest most welcoming people, two of whom I knew but wasn't aware they were Mormons. It was an experience, but they do NOT believe in the same Jesus that we do.
James White and Jeff Durbin (Apologia church) have a lot of material on Mormonism. From those 2 brothers I've learned that the Mormon faith is more like Islam than Christianity. They don't even believe that Jesus is Yahweh, straight up kicking them out of anything that could be called Christianity.
Wow what an experience for you both. I went to a catholic service. Found out I was the only one with a Bible in hand. It was in Las Cruces, NM. 😸. I was curious & now I know.
@@spookygirl7761 yes I was in the same circumstance. It was like, Repeat after me?? Idolatry at it's finest. The kneeling bench came down everyone but me started chanting after a guy with a white collar who called himself ,"father," in which the Bible says call no man father except your Father which is in heaven. They worshiped Mary and Christ took a backseat in the whole service. Why they do so many things the Bible says not to do is beyond me??? Collars and cross's around sinners necks that are deceiving people into thinking they are more rightous than anyone else?? Romans 3:10 There are none rightous, no not one.
As a backslid Christian from my teens, I’m now 58, the past few years really had me questioning “what is truth”. I recently watched all 3 seasons of “The Chosen” and “The Passion of the Christ”. A combinations which lead me to re-dedicate my life to the Lord. So as inaccurate as they may be, I have to give them kudos for something. I’m still searching for truth, hence watching lots of Costi Hinn and Justin Peters. I’ll watch Season 4 with less blind faith, a discernible eye and more knowledge of its inaccuracies, thanks fellas!
Glad you are re-dedicating your life to the Lord. Now that you know The Chosen is anti-biblical, you are on very dangerous ground to continue watching it.
Jesus can use anything to bring someone back to the truth, even if it has some error in it. However, as you would agree, that doesn't make the source that brought you back any less filled with error and therefore good. The Word of God is our best source for truth ❤
That’s what I’m talking about!! It may not be perfect, but it’s so great as an aid to focusing on Jesus rather than all the porn and MSM on the internet!
@gospelchurchworld2429how does Calvinism relate to the above comment? A Calvinist or non Calvinist could make exactly the same statement. You're just looking for trouble.
How is your family doing? I will pray for them. I too have members of my family who are not saved. I give them tracts and dvds like DO YOU BELIEVE..OR THE JESUS REVOLUTION..I DO NOT PUSH SALVATION ON THEM.. LET GOD WORK.. I'M PRAYING FOR YOU GOD BLESS.
I have a friend who watches this show and I tried talking with her about it and she said it’s about discernment. I know a few people around my church watch The Chosen. I thank you Pastor Gabe listen to your podcast and I’ve learned a lot . Please pray for me Justin and Gabe.
She said it’s about discernment???? Very strange she said that being she doesn’t have any discernment, praying for ur friend, for God to give her spiritual discernment and shows her the Truth, but also she has to be seeking the Truth as we know. And also praying for the people in ur church who are watching this FALSE series still. Blessings to you and your family🙏🏼
Yeah, I don’t quite get that either. Unless she’s trying to say that people who don’t like the series, don’t have discernment…? Or maybe she sees it as an exercise of chewing the meat and spitting out the bowls? Somebody help me make sense of this.
@@blindvision4703 if she is trying to say that the people that don’t like it don’t have discernment than that don’t make sense either. Lol. Blessings to u and ur family 🙏🏼
@@blindvision4703 wow that’s so funny how you said about chewing the meat and spitting out the bones, I always use that when listening to a sermon, but the chosen is heresy
I was saved earlier this year (by Jesus alone) and it was around this time that the chosen also caught my attention and I was moved by it. Yes, stick with the Bible, always engage in discernment and especially these type of interviews and accurate biblical teachings ,but this show did encourage me to run to Jesus and away from dangerous environments and I appreciate that.
Mariah: yes, one size does not fit all. God uses different means to move individuals toward truth. Why? Because what my personality needs is different than yours. One spiritual path can be crooked, with detours and dead-ends, while another's path is very straight forward.....but both will eventually enter the narrow gate.
The purpose of this series is much more nefarious than most would ever catch. It shows NOT the Jesus of the Bible who saves, but another christ and another gospel. Please watch "The Chosen Exposen" documentary. They did all the hard work. Thank you Justin Peters and Gabe for being willing to take more chances at offending people for the sake of their souls. God bless you.
A LOT of people have been exposing “The Chosen” for awhile now, i only watched Season 1 and that was enuff for me 🤦🏻♀️ Praying for whoever watches this FALSE series of Jesus to wake up 🙏🏼
Thank you…!❤ You strongly confirm what I felt when I started to whatch a part of the movie. I quickly stopped….thinking “this is not Christ Jesus our Lord we know from the word of God”!…. Your discussion has comforted me!
How sad for you. Do you think Jesus should come down and play himself? When a preacher reads and interprets a passage from the Bible, should you not listen because he strayed from the written word? If your faith is so threatened by a movie, it is no faith.
@@ellenhulslander2897 😅 oh, dear… yes, indeed… you would be quite right…. If… How quickly a misunderstanding is born.., Have you seen the Gospel of John with Henry Jan Cusick… there “they” remained very faithful to the word of God. When I’d seen it for the first time, it had deeply mouved me, brought me nearer to God - in contrast “the chosen” I felt quickly repulsed. Basically I always wondered if films, where somebody plays Jesus, should be made at all ? But these “two presentations” are completely different!
@@tracycassidy1631 hi 🙋♀️😊 Well, it’s quite a long time ago I watched “The Passion”…. It seems to me it was really very close to reality…. very bloody and terrible as the crucifixions were 😰… (thousands were crucified in Rom, writes Historian Tom Holland in his book: “ Dominion, how the Christian Revolution remade the World”) Watching “this” in a film, it was extremely painful for me as I belong to the very sensitive persons. When I listen to Tom Holland about the crucifixion of Christ… I wept all along… BUT….it shows us how huge the price was that Christ payed to be able to save us…!!! “Thank you my Lord God my Saviour 🙏🏼”
@theresepfister139 , isn't it wondrous how different people are moved by different things. For every person that is fearful, repulsed, or whatever by The Chosen, there are thousands who are turning to the Bible and God or deepening their faith.
I respect your opinion but the question is should Christians watch the Chosen. Christians can choose whether to watch it or not. No one is forcing anyone to watch it, even it's not 100 accurate to Scripture.
Thank you Mr. Peters for putting this out. We have lost the fear of God in so many areas of life. Watching this interview reminds me that there is little to no fear of God in how Jesus is portrayed, how the story is told, no care, no attention to the faithfulness of scriptures, to the 2C, to the mixing of the biblically true and the heretically false and on it goes. We must Make the Fear of God Great Again!
I’ve been wondering for a long time why no one with a platform will even touch on the chosen. My wife and I watched the first season when it first came out and seen so many red flags especially the ones you guys talked about and more. We’ve been talking to fellow Christians about it for years and everyone thinks your crazy for not supporting it. Even our pastor says it’s a good tool. Thank you for the touching on such a sensitive topic that most leaders seem so unwilling to warn people about.
I just can’t stand whenever it doesn’t even come remotely close to Scripture. Like what’s the point of the show? If doesn’t go with Scripture, ITS FICTION.
Zak at Wretched Watchmen did a series exposing the Chosen. Great stuff there on new age and 'Christian' music as well, and stuff no one is talking about.
Only the backstory of those who interacted with Jesus are fictionalized and the humanity of Jesus is fleshed out. Please consider accuracy in public statements so as not to draw any away from a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Thank you for all you do!! When Passion of the Christ came out I didn't want to see it. I watched an interview with Jim Caviezel and he looked at the audience saying, "You're all going to heaven!" Then he proceeded to say that when he was on the cross he really knew how Jesus felt!! I was saved out of Roman Catholism, read their doctrinal statements and will not have anything to do with it! Everyone says we all worship the same God! No we don't 😢
@reneeroy9850 I also could not watch the "passion" And how on earth, could Jim Caviezel have the audacity to compare what he felt with what Jesus felt... Oh wow, what a nerve to even think it, let alone say it!
@mruziicak Only God knows! However I have found most Catholics don't know what the Catholic church coctrines really say! Praying to Mary and the different saints is very much encouraged. This is a form of Necromancy (praying to the dead). They don't hear any prayers! Roman Catholisism is a religion of works. Pope Francis said that all religions are acceptable because we worship the same god. We just follow a different path to reach him!
@@reneeroy9850Most christians don't understand Christianity. Catholics are no different. You weren't "saved out of Roman Catholism". You were saved. Grant your brethren more grace and teach them. For they are like you were.
It is my understanding that a Christian is someone that believes Jesus the Christ died on the cross for the sins of the world (my sins). Rose from the grave on the third day. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 ESV - For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, Am I wrong? Catholics don't believe this? Do you believe something else?
Im a born again Christian... Im a child of the most high and pray to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob... i will agree there is added stuff to the Chosen but JESUS CAN BE FOUND IN THIS SHOW... THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN MANIFEST ITS SELF IN IT AND TOUCH THE SOUL of a sinner and see a need for Jesus... This will plant seeds in the unbelievers...and that's the most important part.. God bless
Careful the planted seeds are not of the kind that grow into tares. Matt 13 will explain to you which seed the wheat is growing from, and the tares look like wheat, all unto the fruit comes on the wheat
I get shivers when Ben kneels in defeat then Christ speaks to him touching his shoulder. As well as when Christ offers water to Ben at his lowest point in the beginning. To me this is the Christ.
@@shelbysittig1047 Both of yous made me check it out, and now I am tearing. When that Roman was like "You there, I said no water for him!" Jesus stands up right, and the guard is stops in his tracks. That's what did it for me!
I remember watching that movie many years ago and when I was watching this discussion the Ben Hur movie was one of the first things I thought of. You are right, it did not show Jesus. I thought the movie was fantastic.
When Billy Graham interviewed Glen Beck about Glen being a Mormon, his take away was that Glen was a Christian. I leave it up to God to judge each & every ❤to determine whether they are or are not True Believers. Unlike those who never even watched The Chosen, I find it entertaining & has encouraged me to read & study my Bible. The Chosen doesn't have an R rating & is very entertaining giving back stories of characters. It does not Glorify sin the way Hollywood does 😮!!
Okay, there is a masonic problem. In particular, a different God and a different Christ is introduced. However, Witnesses of Jehova are way worse in distorted preachings about "Mr. Wrongchrist". The people involved might be nice or even very cute, but the contents are flawed, or even rigged by relevant religious leaders. Sad... 😮
@@jaybear5093 Basically right! However... Quite some of the LDS/Mormons have no clue about the real contents including all of the weird details of their cult... So please have some mercy on errant, but innocent souls. 🎉
So after telling a story about someone judging if someone is or isn’t a Christian, you take their word but then say you will leave it up to God? It does not give backstories, it makes them up. What does the rating have to do with how biblical it is? Movie ratings were once based on scripture but is now based on what the world says is good
While I understand this discussion btw these two gentlemen, I must say this, I have been a Christian for the majority of my life. I am 59 and became a Christian at age 17. My husband whom I’ve been married to for 13 years, always believed in God but had many bad experiences in “so call churches” therefore causing him to stop going. Throughout our marriage, he has observed my faith and he began to watch church on TV and was fond of Olsteen. I, personally don’t lean into Olsteen because I feel like he is more of a motivational speaker rather than a preacher. So after my husband watching him for years, he began to venture out to other preacher & we started going to church together, over time my husband began to realize that there was a lot more to this Christian life than what he realized and it began to move him spiritually. I am proud to say that he has move past Olsteen and 2 years ago during Covid, he was saved & baptized. I guess my point is, for my husband…….even though I had negative thoughts of Olsteen preaching, it ultimately lead my husband into his salvation. Today, my husband NO LONGER listens to Olsteen but listens to pastors such as Justin, Voodie, John MacArthur. I am grateful that my husband found Christ 🙏🏻
"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9) Please think of this dear friend: After the Millenniel Reign of Christ Jesus here on earth, there will be untold numbers who will rise up and join Satan in a final rebellion against Jesus!
Thank you for sharing that testimony about your husband. Jesus knows our hearts and leads us each individually to Himself. We all have our own journey to Christ. Your patience while waiting, and praying, for your unbelieving husband to come to Christ in his own time is commendable. Had you been critical and condemning of his watching Olsteen, he may have given up on seeking Jesus for good. I have been a 1 Peter 3 wife for many years and I know not to be critical or preachy as to get in the way of what God is doing. Gos bless you Sandra.
Modern Western laws are NOT based on Christians values, otherwise slavery would still be a moral practice. Bible authors believed slavery is moral & suggested how to buy, sell & beat the slaves. No OT/NT Bible verse suggest slavery is immoral. Secular thinking ended slavery after about 1800 years of Christian values.
We have a young woman that seeked out our church because she wanted to better know this beautifully portrayed Jesus , she wanted to find out more about Him and she became born again because of this show. So God can work with anything.
I've been posting WWUTT videos every Wednesday on my Facebook page; I call it "WWUTT Wednesday". I think I'll post this interview and call it "Truth Tuesday". Thank you, brother Justin ,for once again informing and standing for the truth of the Word of God.
I have recently realized that these rolls are considered graven images. I have also always told people that if Jesus were here on earth today and had a building he was preaching at, I wouldn't be shocked that few would attend. He is and speaks the truth. People want to hear only what tickles their ears.
Scene 1 Episode 1 has a disclaimer in the first few seconds encouraging viewers to read the gospels for themselves. I’ve never seen that in any other movie about Jesus. I do love The Chosen TV series, but it’s not my Bible. And I’ve seen its creators, writers, and directors say on several occasions that it shouldn’t be.
I have watched The Passion of the Christ is so difficult to watch, but has a profoundly positive effect on my own understanding of Jesus's suffering, that sacrifice impacts my daily life in my faith, reading the Bible & prayer life. I watch it every Good Friday as part of Lent's conclusion & the Easter weekend.

Regarding portraying Jesus on film, I always appreciated the brief portrayal of Jesus in the original Ben Hur. Jesus is never directly shown; however, His mercy and power are powerfully portrayed.
_The Robe_ takes the same approach. If i remember correctly, Christ only makes a brief appearance where one of the Roman soldiers who gamble for His clothes is given the task of overseeing His crucifixion, but the viewer isn't allowed to see Christ's face.
'Ben Hur' is in the top 3 of favourite movies in my 51 years of life. First watched it on TV when I was a kid ( when you could watch at least an hour of movie between 2 minutes of commercials 😄 ) I was overwhelmed even as a kid that Jesus was so impactful, I mean, the look on the centurion's face... And I bawled at the crucifixion and Judah's reaponses to it all. What a lovely way to spend 3 1/2 or 4 hours.
@@theeternalsbeliever1779 This is another favourite movie of mine, it was beautiful and tear jerking (I just cry easy) So glad for those 'legacy' movies that are unashamed to proclaim Jesus.
EXCELLENT interview! Insightful information! ❤️ I never felt drawn to watch The Chosen, although I had seen a few clips like you have, Justin. I keep thinking of the latest Bible passage that I memorized: 1st Peter 1: verses 3 thru 9. I LOVE THIS PASSAGE SO VERY MUCH! It reveals soooo much information in so few words! ❤️ From the NKJ, the end of it reads ..."Jesus Christ, whom having NOT SEEN, you love. Though NOW you do not see Him, YET BELIEVING, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith - the salvation of your souls". ❤️🙏❤️
It’s just a show! It is very inspirational! I follow the scriptures and count myself as a Christian and lover of Christ. This show is a great show. It is mainly inspiring!
Thank you gentlemen for covering this topic. My brother and sister in law suggested that I watch it as they rated it highly (first series). We all talk together about how there's little to watch for entertainment, for Christian adults who value a life of holiness. I didn't want to get The Chosen's images of Jesus and the disciples in my mind, so I avoided it. Shortly afterwards, I heard Pablo Frascini and Eric Barger discussing the Mormon collaboration in the writing and production team. Pastor Curt Reed showed us the Pride flag behind the scenes and the social media response to questions asked about it by viewers. It all made me determined to avoid The Chosen.🇦🇺
Great decision. As time accelerates towards the return of King Jesus, I see His Spirit opening the eyes to many more as to the false "god" of entertainment that Satan has deceived so many with. I speak from knowing it all too well, as a false convert who was saved by Jesus Christ's finished work on the cross. Satan, pretty much is involved in this "entertainment" system worldwide. Jesus turned him down when tempted, but many choose riches, the worship of fans, and power in this life. Just to lose their souls for eternity...
The pride flag was the personal belonging of one cameraman. It was not part of the program or sponsored in anyway by the production team or anyon associated with directing the program.
When my girlfriend came to visit me, she wanted me to watch the "Chosen." As soon as I watched it, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart, and I knew it was not Biblical. She got upset with me because I didn't want to watch. The Holy Spirit of God does lead us into all truth.

We started watching it a while back. At that time, my daughter was 16. She was the first one to point out the heretical scenes. She’s now 19. We watched it for a little while longer and it got worse and worse. Now everyone in our house will not watch it. My children know God’s Word and I’m grateful God has given all of us the discernment to not watch it. We never did see the son of god movie. What I found really sad, were Christian’s calling him, hot jesus. I didn’t capitalize any of it, because it’s not the God or Jesus of the Bible.
I just watched the first season, understanding some of the controversity. Every time I was confronted with a question I paused and did some research. I have to say that it threw me at first some of the background of all the characters. But, I thought this was a strength of the show. We've all wondered about what the desciples were like. In the series I saw their humanity. I have a pretty grounded in scripture. So, with that said. I had no problem with them messing a little with the context, so long as the biblical quotes were acurate. I have found so far (having yet to see seasons 2 and 3) I was impressed with the portrayal of Jesus. His humour, good nature and non fussed portrayal was very interesting. I also want to say that many people without knowledge of Christ, might actually be inspired to start searching and in today's woke world this is a good thing.
Agree! I LOVE the Lord, His Word and read my Bible and pray. The Chosen is a beautiful show touching many, many lives. God bless Dallas and Amanda Jenkins
Absolutely agree, it is supposed to pull people into giving their lives to Christ. It doesn’t need pulling apart. I’ve been a Christian since I was 14 and I’m not 59. I think people must use your own discernment.
I have to say I’ve been convicted recently to think about watching The Chosen, but I believe that God is giving me the discernment to only trust his Word. It did help me through some really dark times in my life to get back on the narrow road. And watching The Passion of The Christ changed my Christian walk immensely seeing only part of what Jesus went through to save me from death. I cried all the way home after watching it. I pray that The Chosen will help people to seek out God through his Word and dive into it in prayer. 🙏
Watching error will not help anyone, in my opinion. 2 Timothy 3: All Scripture Is Breathed Out by God 10 You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, 11 my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra-which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me. 12 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13 while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom[a] you learned it 15 and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God[b] may be complete, equipped for every good work.
Did you notice that THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST LEFT US WITH A DEAD CHRISTIN THE GRAVE, AS IF WE SHOULD FEEL SORRY FOR JESUS WHEN HE DIED AND ROSE FOR US, TO SAVE US! OF WHAT USE IS THE PASSION WITHOUT A RISEN CHRIST??!!
@@anastasiaburr3959 you did not watch the end of the movie. That is clear. Also do some research, the Resurrection will be the sequel to The Passion of the Christ movie
Thank you gentlemen. I was faced with this subject a few times where I mentioned to believers and non believers to beware of this series but got "cancelled" to my face... not online. So thank you for confirming what the Spirit of GOD was showing me. This series is another tool of the devil to bring more people into his own religion that will take on the whole world eventually. Luke 21:8, Matthew 24:4, Mark 13:5 Jesus was warning His disciples and believers throughout time. I pray that believers today will stop and think on what those words truly mean. God bless you both!
I live in a condo complex of 372 flats with elderly people, all of them are over 55 years old and many are close to passing over. Most of them are non-believing or lukewarm, this is facts in Sweden. They are lonely, sad and have given up life. The first step for them is to watch the Chosen, because I know many people around the world came to Jesus watching these series. I bought a cable between my laptop and a big tv-screen and have got a local and time, one hour per week for the whole year ahead. We begin on May 7th 2024. I pray that some should turn to faith and receive the Blessed Hope!
If the chosen leads people to the Bible, then that is incredible. “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few” Great work being a laborer for Christ Gina!
Hey Gina from Sweden!! I’m also Gina but in Chicago 💕 you’re awesome for showing them a show that will touch their hearts and hopefully they want to start reading the Bible ! The Bible is so good .
Very well done,Justin, and appreciate that Gabe was able to give a lot of information, especially since you haven't watched the series. Your videos are very informative and I try to share those on Facebook. This one has already been shared in a Facebook group.😊😊
Dear Justin! I can see how beautiful is your soul! This is message from Holy Spirit to you " I want to heal you, but you don't believe that I can do it, I can do whatever I want because I am who I am , but you have to ask me, repent, and stop to preach this false doctrines, and 100% believe that I can do it ,trust me,and let me to heal you, don't be stubborn " Here you are. I'm just a messenger. You will do as you want. Bless you brother!
I’m deeply grateful to God for your ministry. The two of you are just so on point. Thanks so much for all the insights you share. Be wonderfully blessed. 😇😇😇

@gospelchurchworld2429 ,,i told ya jesus even never brought forth the bible, just take it easy ,i show u,i gotta prove you from bibles, ,okee dokee ,let us speak friendly in a methodology manner & follow syllogism, logical reasoning to get out the truth,Once you start reading the Hebrew and Greek, and you see what massive leaps any "translation" of the bible takes to hop into English, I understood how bent out of shape conservative "translation committees" have become in order to keep the accessible bible leaned heavily toward their aims, goals and power structures, the tomb was discovered by different witnesses on four different occasions, so it is in fact impossible to argue that the discrepancies were introduced by different witnesses of the one event; rather, they can be explained as four different redactions for apologetic and kerygmatic reasons of a single story originating from one source. Matthew wrote.. the risen Jesus met the disciples only on a mountain in Galilee, but Luke says.. he met them at a meal in Jerusalem on the very evening of his resurrection, after which he took them on the road to Bethany, where he rose bodily to heaven. Meanwhile, John’s was loosely based on Luke but contains elaborations of Luke’s account, including two meals in Jerusalem and a later meeting by the Sea of Galilee. Mark originally ended his story at verse 16:8, with no evidence of the risen Jesus.. scholars have concurred that the ‘Long Ending’ verses 16:9-20, which corrobate somewhat with Luke’s account, was added much later. Even for the birth of Jesus, there are contradictory accounts.. Luke's infancy narrative is not only massively different from Matt's, but also in details, e.g., about Joseph and Mary's home (in Bethlehem in Matt 2:11; in Nazareth in Luke 2:4-7, with no home in Bethlehem) and about their travels after the birth of Jesus (to Egypt in Matt 2:14; to Jerusalem and Nazareth in Luke 2:22,39)Let us be neutral and look at this objectively, without Bias and without any racism. Without pre-conceptions. Completely neutral with our intellectual cup the right side up, because if it was upside down, nothing, no matter how profound, will go into the intellectual cup. Question: Did you ever question yourself that the Gospels by Mark, Luke, Matthew, and John have no last names? In court or in your passport or driving license, do you not have your last name? How valid is a document without any last name to give it validity? Second: Jesus spoke Aramaic. The name for God in Aramaic is Elah. Please look it up. Muslims say Allah. Third: Did the mother of Jesus or Jesus himself claim he is god or the son of god? Fourth: Muslims love Jesus and Mother Mary more than lip-service Christians. Why? Muslims keep a beard and they prostrate in praying to One God Almighty as Jesus did. Muslim women wear a head-cover called hijab like Mother Mary. They do not eat pork like just like Mother Mary or Jesus. Fifth: If Christians claim that you will only be saved if you believe in Jesus, them what about other prophets like Moses and Abraham and Jacob and Job, and other good people before Jesus was born? Will they go to hell? Certainly not. Bible in its original form must have been profound. It still has many, many good lessons. But it has been tampered with,.no orginals for manuscripts that`s what priests had admitted in addition many scholars including bart ehrman who was orginally christian, the original bible should be written in an aramic which is is basic language of jesus, jesus never bring the bible, the authors of bibles never contemporary to jesus, nomenclature of bibles by authors means bible is man made, how often does bible revised, peace, hope i helped, please read first before it`s too late&don`t biased to catechism,u are a christian because jesus gonna holds up your sins which not even written bible exactly like trinity, about time to know the truth.peace
Justin, THANK YOU SO MUCH for having Gabriel on your show and showing me how wrong I am about this show. I'm one who LOVED it, who has been waiting on pins and needles for the next season, but thanks to you both, that ends now! I've also sent your video to my sister so she can see the truth also and stop watching. You both are correct, the scriptures ARE enough and they ALONE should fulfill us, Thank you and God bless you both✝❤
Why take JPeters word for it? Against millions who love the Chosen, and thousands whose lives have been changed by it. I for one, won't be watching Justin Peters any more. Listen instead, to the testimonies of those who have come to Jesus, or had their faith greatly strengthened , through the Chosen. ( and it has nothing to do with Mormons)
@@patriciabarron7707Produced by Mormans, the chosen offers a combo platter of non Biblical scenarios....fictional. I was once a huge supporter. I thank God to of prayed for discernment, to repent of anything that would grieve Jesus. I am digging into scripture like nothing before.
You two are the modern-day scribes and Pharisees. Jamieflynn7484 don't let these two talking heads discourage your worship of Christ. Did your heart not burn within you? The Holy Spirit bears witness of all truth. Think of all the people that have been touched by the Holy Spirit and brought unto Christ through the Chosen. Don't take my word, don't take their word. Take it to God and ask him directly James 1:5. We don't have to rely on the arm of flesh to tell us how to interpret scripture. We can always ask God ourselves '
As someone who has studied scripture all my life, I found The Chosen irritating in many respects. However, when I was a youth, I was introduced to Jesus Christ Superstar and Godspell. I spent my days learning the songs to play on my guitar and sing. The fact that my ficus was on the gospels was a great thing compared to what other young people were doing at the time. Were these portrayals of Jesus and his life accurate? Absolutely not. Did they bring me to see that and at the same time immerse me in knowing God better? Yes, indeed! Let God guide people and be grateful and discerning in these situations. Many have had a fire lit inside them through The Chosen...so be it. For me, it was a hard pass.
But that's just the point. Many (most) people do NOT know the Bible but think they do once they've watch the movie with its factious parts included. As the old saying goes, "These people can become inoculated" against the real Gospel.
2 Corinthians 6:14 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?
I am not a nominal Christian who is easily entertained! You two need to look at what is going on with the viewers, who absolutely love this show. If it leads one person to Jesus Christ, it is a success!
I have to wonder if their conversions are real. They are submitting to a false picture of Jesus. Also, all the inaccuracies - God will not participate in a lie.
I remember watching Season One when it first started and becoming extremely disturbed by how the storyline was going. I honestly gave it a chance and watched it through episode three of Season Two. I stopped watching it because it just got worse in going against what is recorded in Scripture. I’ve listened to what Gabe and others have discussed about this program. Thanks to you and Gabe for continuing to discuss this. Others need to listen to this and I will be passing it on.
I had my doubts about the Chosen, but I decided to give it a shot. I'm not going to say it is perfect by any means. But I also absolutely believe it is a tool that can be used to further the Kingdom when used correctly. I have been a believer for many many years and spent 12 years of my childhood on the mission field helping my parents. We lived in a very very unsecured area where the preaching and teaching of scripture wouldve gotten us thrown in prison. If we had the chosen I could absolutely see us having a group of younger people (college ish) age for an "english corner" and we watch an episode, then compare it to scripture etc. without running much risk of getting caught. I personally do not mind the artistic license taken. I don't personally believe it detracts from the greater message. I love the humor in it. I love seeing the character growth and swing of the disciples. Having said that, nothing beats just sitting down and reading the gospels. I think as long as quality discernment is used and people realize its entertainment that should point people to the Bible, it shouldn't be shunned by anyone. Are the creators perfect? No? Is Jonathan Roumie perfect? Absolutely not. Are all the cast even true believers? I dunno. But I can tell you that it has personally given me a new zeal of digging even deeper into scripture that I didn't have before. And even reading the gospels, it certainly helps paint a more vivid picture in my mind as I read through them and sorta get a sense of what the picture COULD'VE looked like.
Well said. I agree with you. It also makes Jesus more real to me not a far away unreachable Jesus. I love The Chosen. Cant wait for Season 4. But.... nothing beats the Bible, it is God's word after all. Prayer is important to me along with fellowship. I am truly blessed
@@BigBUCK0075051yeah you’re right we should never associate at all with sinners. Jesus certainly never did, right? We should keep the gospel to ourselves, it’s too fragile to be exposed to the world.
I don't think some ministers realize that as soon as some people hear you preach or see a religious program, they turn off the radio or switch to another channel. I have read comments by people who said they were unbelievers but watch The Chosen. This program has even drawn some to pick up a Bible to learn about Jesus. A winner of souls must be wise. You have to plant a seed and water it in order for it to grow.
I admit I watched the first season in just a couple days and was mesmerized. When I had watched it the second season was about to be released, but for some reason (Spirit of God) I found myself reluctant to watch it. I had seen some of Dallas’s interviews and also learned that dude that played Jesus was a mystic catholic. I later saw his interview about him lying on someone grave and communicated with him. I was so thankful that I never watched anymore. Thank y’all for this info and confirming my fear of continuing watching it! Thank God for giving us the Holly Spirit in our daily guidance! 🙏🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼
Jesus was not a stand up comedian. Hollywood is from hell and anyone who gets their Biblical support from Hollywood is not born again. If you are born again the Truth will hit you in the face.
My husband asked me to watch the series with him. I was only able to watch season 1, zero desired to continue.. I had the exactly same feelings about it. I follow Jenkins on social media and his controversial posts takes off my credibility of any of his work and the fruit of his work!
By the way, the reason why Jenkins says that 95% of the show's dialog is not in the Gospel is quite simple and it has absolutely nothing to do with twisting the Scriptures. The amount of dialog per episodes, times seven seasons (their intent for the length of the series) is just so much dialog that even if you had all the words of a Gospel in it, it would be 5% of the dialog. Meaning that the Gospels have just snippets of the life of Jesus, the big highlights of his life but when you create a tv series you have to fledge the characters with more dialog than just what's in the Gospels the bring the characters to life. Yes the Jenkins took some creative liberties to rearrange the order of certain stories (the same way ancient biographies were done btw).
@@FirefighterAliveJCPlease don't say "hater" about someone who has given a detailed, careful rebuttal of something. Answrr their points. Anyway, we are _supposed_ to hate false teaching. If it's not false, you have to explain why, not just say "Hater."
The guy who said “hater” was agreeing with a detailed explanation on why you can’t have exclusively and comprehensively copied dialogue from the gospels in this medium. That is a very detailed agreement
FINALLY! I TRUST YOUR OPINION SO MUCH AND IM SO GLAD YOU ARE FINALLY TALKING ABOUT THIS. I have struggled with this show from the moment it started. The content the characters, the changing of the characters, the relapsing with Mary, the relationships and Dallas’ attitude when confronted about things that aren’t biblical. I don’t know what it is in me that keeps rejecting it while others love it. I want so bad to be near Jesus and see Him and see Him as He was but I feel like something’s WRONG WITH ME bc I can’t watch this show. There’s too much to say and write but I hope you hit the points and put my spirit at rest. It’s making me feel like I’m sining against God not liking this show.
Me too! My family and friends keep pressuring me to watch the Chosen and I have refused. I also questioned myself, but after watching this video I'm glad I didn't watch. I kept telling them " the bible is enough for me."
You are not sinning whether you like or don't like this show. It is only a show that brings to life people and a time that we in fact lost touch with. Nothing is ever completely pure here on earth. Question: Did you ever notice that we have never seen programs with YOUNG apostles (all of them had to be very young when they first followed Jesus), and we always talk about them after they began to preach and write and then were martyred). I have appreciated seeing and hearing what they might have been like before they were truly enlightened. You have a right to your well thought out opinion, but I really believe that nothing and no one can interfere with your faith. Who do you think is frightening you about seeing the show? What might be the purpose? It's a program that, after all, never pretended to be the Bible and has multiple educated consultants. I wish you well.
@@suekeller3493 AMEN! I did trust my gut. There were too many things that they twisted from Scripture and the kicker for me was John the Baptist lecturing Jesus on the Law. Jesus created the Law and fulfilled it! John the Baptist had reverence for Jesus and he wouldn't if talked to Him that way. And Peter wouldn't have called John “creepy John” Matthew wasn't autistic and Mary Magdalen was not an alcoholic. They took too much liberty with this interpretation of Jesus and the Gospels. There was so much wrong I found myself arguing with the TV lol. Finally, I said enough! It's blasphemy against Jesus. That's not the real Jesus or the disciples. Plus I noticed in the beginning they pulled 3 different faiths together that aren't comparable in their beliefs or actions. They have the Catholic, Protestant, and Jew mixed together were arguments in the comment thread about Jesus and Mary the mother of Jesus. Not good for the church.
Thank you, so much for this interview and information. I shared with my family members and I pray they watch. Holy Spirit give me wisdom on how to answer them, if anyone should come against me for sharing 🙏🏽
Thank you SO much for doing this video and interview. I saw all of these "danger" signs when I i first saw it and did my research. I appreciate being backed up in my thoughts and decision. Bless you!

For you! But what about the ones out there, so lost in sin, that they never pick up a Bible, but by zapping find this seies, that reaches them? Do we not trust the Holy Spirit enough, that he will lead them into all Truth? Every way to witness is imperfect, for we are all humans. It is God himself, that leads us Home 🙏✝️♥️
@@timestealr2967 i studied the bible and worked in outreach programs for homeless people and drug addicts. Not everybody can read -nd is as privileged and has access to the gospel and teaching as we are
I started with episode one and felt uneasy about it. I don't like movies about the Bible and about Jesus. The writers always add to The Scripture narrative. I have studied and read the Bible for 53 years. This is NOT something I recommend watching. God has promised curses to those that add to or take from His Word. God does not allow "creative license". He will judge those who do so. Read your Bible!
I was shocked with the way they mess about with scripture. I watched a couple of episodes and that was enough. Has anyone read or watched Ben Hur? Jesus is portrayed in that yet you never see His face. That’s a more acceptable way to do it. There’s awe and reverence in how He’s portrayed. Thanks Justin and Gabe, you’ve done a super job. I love Justin’s channel and daily Bible readings and Gabe’s WWUTT. You learn so much in a nutshell! 😊
And that was a secular portrayal! That was a great movie, and they were very careful with the portrayal of Christ, especially considering that the main story was fiction set in a contemporary time.

Hi Justin, thanks for this video. I had/have no desire to watch The Chosen. I knew they would mess with the truth, but my Christian friends raved about it first season. So, I did checking and Woe, subtle booboos and then finding out Mormon backing. Most of my friends think I am just being....me, when I stated misgivings. Yea well, I can live with that. Thanks for taking your precious time for your daily Bible readings AND I am now subscribed to WWUTT. Blessings and prayers for you two gentlemen's ministries.
My investigations have helped me realise that the LDS church itself had nothing whatsoever with the making of the 'Chosen' apart from allowing the company that makes the show use their 'ancient style studio' for filming of some of the scenes. What individual LDS members do has no bearing on the LDS church Just as Catholics or Baptists being in a Hollywood drama production has anything to do with their church.
From a guy who has read the bible several times in the past few years this is a good show. IUT does not claim that it is accurate. What is accurate is how Jesus reacts to people! If you read your bible a lot this would be a GREAT Watch.
I’ve been a Christian for many years and I like The Chosen very much! I love the way so many are turning to Jesus as a result of the fruit being born from this production.
Unfortunately many Christians know just enough Scripture to get themselves in trouble. They get led astray and deceived because they do not know God's Word well enough. Thank you Pastors!
Well said. I've been a Christian since 1972 but whenever I read false theology or false religion I have to pray first that God would guard me and protect me, because false ideas always seem to come to me with a "What if that's right?" whisper. They always seem plausible. I really have to pray and try really hard to think of Bible passages that contradict false ideas.
I watched the first episode unfazed because the story revolved around an actual biblical event. I figured that was the set up and we would get all real gospel events after that. We did not. I stopped at episode 2. I’m sad to hear it’s gotten worse.
I did the same...but stopped watching when they wrote in their depicted jesus calling the apostle john 'big john'😔... But even b4 that, the sermon on the mount was shown as a big production with stage and all😥😢
Short answer - no Long answer - people will watch this show and will base their testimonies / sermons / witnessing efforts on this show…the same show who assumes Mary Magdeline was named Lilith at one point, the same show who assumes Matthew was autistic, etc. None of these assumptions are recorded in the Bible. It’s one thing to claim entertainment, but it’s another to claim entertainment while saying this is a depiction of Biblical truth. If I were a husband and father (and I am not at the moment), I would prohibit my household from watching this show.
@@joshmccracken16 yet we identify our selves as “little Christs”. I just don’t see the connection to idolatry. Maybe we should have no nativity or passion plays.
@@bgorg1 When someone calls him or herself a Christian, it's true that we are saying we imitate and try to represent Christ here on earth. I would hope you would at least admit that there's a difference in acting like someone as a lifestyle as opposed to portraying someone in a play or film. The analogy really doesn't hold up, although it's close. If you're ok with passion plays and that sort of thing, I don't say there's anything wrong with that, so long as the portrayal is accurate. However, my conscience is certainly tripped, and my preference is to avoid them. And the point made in the video with respect to the specific portrayal of our Lord must be approached with the utmost reverence and caution. This is me judging for myself. You will judge for yourself, God be with you.
Thanks for having Gabe on. I show his WWUTT videos often in our department gatherings before SS often. I did not know he moved to the great state of Texas.
I think it’s clearly an artistic movie, but it has some good insights to take away, and I like several of the characters. The walking on water scene is incredible!!
I don’t think this is idolatry for everyone who watches this series. Idolatry is a matter of the heart, and one can certainly view this without replacing Christ Himself with an obvious actor. The artistic writing is what must happen when portraying any project like this, and they don’t claim to be biblical in a word for word basis. I worked in the film industry years ago, and much of what people are expressing concerns about; mormon producers, pride flag of a crew member, responses of non Christian cast members, etc...is understandable considering what the writer /director has stated this project is. The producers only have what influence the writer / director ( DJ ) gives. He ultimately ( and his assistants ) affect the direction and content of the project, so it doesn’t mean it’s created by mormons. The crew would be virtually impossible to have be all Christian, and even then, it’s not guaranteed ( like any other sphere of life ). So naturally you are trying to be a witness while working with nonbelievers on a project like this. This doesn’t mean they approve of homosexuals, just because one of them is asserting his first amendment right on an American film set. If we are fundamentalists entirely by association, then in all fairness, our reformed brethren cannot associate with Fox news reporters, or other unbelieving 😊platforms they choose to participate with. I’m giving artistic liscense to this project for the very fact that when I read scripture I am naturally picturing places, smells, sounds, background history as I’m reading, so that I can try to understand the reality of the scenes being described. I think this naturally occurs with each of us to some degree if we are to be honest. This project simply suggest what could have happened within a close range of presumptions. I often think in reformed circles, ( to which I am part ) there is not much emphasis on the humanity of our Lord...and He was in fact very much a man as well as God. So I think this project is captivating because it’s rare to look into the humanity of Christ in a way that also allows Him to be so approachable. He was in fact approachable by anyone in the scriptures, but He is often not conveyed that way in the pulpit. I’m willing to watch discerningly, to see how it unfolds...nothing in the project itself has been so alarming to quit watching in my opinion.
@@msolorzano6990 the simple fact that there is overwhelming evidence that this show is not congruent with the faith and that there is people defending it in the name of Christ shows that they are not willing to let go of this vain entertainment. Christ over all. This is idolatry.
I used to think that if it brings one person to Christ, then it can’t be all bad. But if only one person is led to the true Jesus, and thousands, or millions are led to a false one, then it is nothing but damaging.

I was immersed in the show. I have difficulty with almost all emotional situations and content. But the show evoked a feeling of warmth and love that drew me in One day out of the blue i realized that in prayer i was seeing the actors face as i prayed and it horrified me. It was as if i were praying to him not to the Lord. I felt conviction that it was a serious sin. I was applying the Chosen like a band aid God revealed to me it was dangerous.
I like what Gabe says here, (paraphrasing): "In Evangelicalism, you may not always find true Christians, but you will still find the TRUE CHRIST, unlike in Mormonism where you will never find the true JESUS"!
You can like it, but it's still not true. The evangelicals all teach that God has spent trying to save this world before Christ returns, and that is provably false. The fact that Christ intentionally taught parables so ppl outside of His following wouldn't understand them proves it. Evangelicals don't even believe in the resurrection of the dead, so by what metric can He found in evangelicalism?

I will certainly pray for your ex husband and the restoration of your marriage. May God be glorified in the healing of your union, which is intended to parallel the relationship of Christ and the Church. I pray that He will comfort your anxious heart and fill your loneliness with His peace. If your husband was appointed to salvation, the Lord will not pass him by. I was about 7 years old when my father took me to see the Jesus film. It made a great impression on me. That film has been translated into a hundred different languages and is used in out reach and missionary programmes. My father does outreach programmes in Botswana and South Africa and he shows this film to the communities in their own languages. A visual portrayal of Jesus does have a place in spreading the gospel. It should not become the centre of the gospel. They do share the gospel and talk with the people afterwards as well as give them bibles. Last year they were able to hand out about 3000 bibles and also solar powered audio bibles. The joy and gratitude of the people is incredible. They sometimes have only 2 to 4 bibles in a whole community. So having a bible per family is a gift. Outreach2Africa also provides spectacles for people living in the Richtersveld in the Northern Cape. Using this opportunity to also spread the word and the grace of God.

😊
I gave my life to Jesus on the 23rd of June 2023, I have been reading my Bible almost every single day and I've shared the little I know with my family and friends.
Welcome to the family! Great insight !
Don't let these men crush your spirit and judge you for not passing their purity tests
You are absolutely right. Yet, so many are willing to compromise the truth to be accepted by the masses.
Amen
Exactly , I think that is what the show is all about, bringing people back to Christ. Too much tearing things apart.
Exact, man I think Justin and the other gay ,are jealous and so boring, l would not dear to speak as them.
I love THE CHOSEN, bringing people back to JESUS!❤
I cried my eyes out in the end, realizing that I was a sinner.
best movie made on Jesus life I’ve ever seen
So, it was not a bad thing?
I agree with Bible portrayals. Passion of the Christ where everything was in Aramaic and true to scripture I think it showed today’s audience the Gospel in picture form. But obviously the Bible is the greatest evangelical tool. God can use movies if He chooses. Jim Caviezel was struck by lightning, caught pneumonia and had a heart attack or something, didn’t he?
@@patmelton43It was a lot more faithful to Scripture than the Chosen.

As a backslid Christian from my teens, I’m now 58, the past few years really had me questioning “what is truth”. I recently watched all 3 seasons of “The Chosen” and “The Passion of the Christ”. A combinations which lead me to re-dedicate my life to the Lord. So as inaccurate as they may be, I have to give them kudos for something. I’m still searching for truth, hence watching lots of Costi Hinn and Justin Peters. I’ll watch Season 4 with less blind faith, a discernible eye and more knowledge of its inaccuracies, thanks fellas!
Just read the word and keep reading
Glad you are re-dedicating your life to the Lord. Now that you know The Chosen is anti-biblical, you are on very dangerous ground to continue watching it.
Jesus can use anything to bring someone back to the truth, even if it has some error in it. However, as you would agree, that doesn't make the source that brought you back any less filled with error and therefore good. The Word of God is our best source for truth ❤
That’s what I’m talking about!! It may not be perfect, but it’s so great as an aid to focusing on Jesus rather than all the porn and MSM on the internet!
#thegracemessage ❤
When the world raves about a TV show about JESUS, that in itself should make it highly questionable.

I was saved earlier this year (by Jesus alone) and it was around this time that the chosen also caught my attention and I was moved by it.
Have you seen the Gospel of John with Henry Jan Cusick… there “they” remained very faithful to the word of God. When I’d seen it for the first time, it had deeply mouved me, brought me nearer to God - in contrast “the chosen” I felt quickly repulsed.
Basically I always wondered if films, where somebody plays Jesus, should be made at all ?
But these “two presentations” are completely different!

Well, it’s quite a long time ago I watched “The Passion”…. It seems to me it was really very close to reality…. very bloody and terrible as the crucifixions were 😰… (thousands were crucified in Rom, writes Historian Tom Holland in his book: “ Dominion, how the Christian Revolution remade the World”)
Watching “this” in a film, it was extremely painful for me as I belong to the very sensitive persons. When I listen to Tom Holland about the crucifixion of Christ…
I wept all along…
BUT….it shows us how huge the price was that Christ payed to be able to save us…!!!

That quote is not in the Bible. Rejecting Jesus, is the road to hell!
A TV show isn't scripture. They always get it wrong. Read the Bible, all you need is there.
Those that fear this man, or The Chosen have no faith in God.
@gospelchurchworld2429It literally isn't according to Dallas Jenkins own words.
Here's a thought. Watch "The Chosen" with wisdom, discernment, and with your bible open.
Well said. 1Thess 5.21 > "but test everything; hold fast what is good."

@@lufhopespeacefully2037Matthew 28:19
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit . . .”
Acts 2:33
“Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He [Jesus] has poured forth this which you both see and hear.”
While the term “Trinity” is not used in the Bible, the Scriptures clearly reveal that there is one God, and just as clearly, they speak of three who may be rightly called God, and the three each have the characteristics of personhood. The Father, the Son, and the Spirit each possess knowledge, show emotion, demonstrate will. The creedal statement-one God in three persons-is an accurate summary of what the Bible says about the one God who is the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. In short, the doctrine of the Trinity is not imposed upon the texts of Scripture but emerges from what the Scriptures reveal about the one God and the three, who are distinct persons who deserve to be called God.

For me it was irritating.

That’s why I stopped watching also. There’s some parts where it’s not even close to scripture.
Exactly, so NO more reenactments of Bible stories in churches, schools, nowhere!
Well said. I agree with you. It also makes Jesus more real to me not a far away unreachable Jesus. I love The Chosen. Cant wait for Season 4. But.... nothing beats the Bible, it is God's word after all. Prayer is important to me along with fellowship. I am truly blessed

I started with episode one and felt uneasy about it. I don't like movies about the Bible and about Jesus. The writers always add to The Scripture narrative. I have studied and read the Bible for 53 years. This is NOT something I recommend watching. God has promised curses to those that add to or take from His Word. God does not allow "creative license". He will judge those who do so. Read your Bible!

So you are that Christian who truly knows the scripture. Hmmmm….
Brilliant video Justin and Gabe! ❤
I watched the first episode unfazed because the story revolved around an actual biblical event. I figured that was the set up and we would get all real gospel events after that. We did not. I stopped at episode 2. I’m sad to hear it’s gotten worse.
All true depictions from the Bible would bore to death the masses of unsaved viewers.
I did the same...but stopped watching when they wrote in their depicted jesus calling the apostle john 'big john'😔...
But even b4 that, the sermon on the mount was shown as a big production with stage and all😥😢
So did I watch into season 2, and the number of times it shocked me that it was in opposition to the bible made me so disgusted I rejected it.
@gospelchurchworld2429I don't think you know the scriptures well to make such a comment.
Short answer - no
Long answer - people will watch this show and will base their testimonies / sermons / witnessing efforts on this show…the same show who assumes Mary Magdeline was named Lilith at one point, the same show who assumes Matthew was autistic, etc. None of these assumptions are recorded in the Bible. It’s one thing to claim entertainment, but it’s another to claim entertainment while saying this is a depiction of Biblical truth. If I were a husband and father (and I am not at the moment), I would prohibit my household from watching this show.
Thank you followers of Christ for your wisdom you are sharing with us.
Thank you!! Agree. That has been a question that I’ve had, how can anyone play Jesus??? It seems soo wrong because of His Holiness.❤
Amen. It's probably a form of idolatry. I agree.
I did not know he moved to the great state of Texas.
enjoyed this perspective, I hadn't considered this. great teaching TY Amen
I think it’s clearly an artistic movie, but it has some good insights to take away, and I like several of the characters. The walking on water scene is incredible!!
Idolatry
We don't have a license to make things up about God or His people. The show is blasphemous and incredibly irreverent.
@@brantonjaspar8711 wait, is someone worshipping the chosen?
Thank you for introducing me to 'The Chosen' it blessed me so much.
I used to think that if it brings one person to Christ, then it can’t be all bad. But if only one person is led to the true Jesus, and thousands, or millions are led to a false one, then it is nothing but damaging.
Tell me how what they portray is false.
Thank you brothers for standing for truth and for both of your ministries.
MORNING PRAYER
I dedicate myself to You
Today and everyday
Come and walk by my side
And guard what I think and say
Fill my heart with love and kindness
As I thank and worship You
I pray for revival in the world
New faith as the morning dew
Come to us and fill our hearts
So that they overflow
Fill our minds with thoughts of You
So Your great peace we'll know
O my Lord, you give so much
Forever with you I pray
I feel so loved and rich and blessed
When at your feet I stay

I was immersed in the show. I have difficulty with almost all emotional situations and content.
But the show evoked a feeling of warmth and love that drew me in
One day out of the blue i realized that in prayer i was seeing the actors face as i prayed and it horrified me.
It was as if i were praying to him not to the Lord. I felt conviction that it was a serious sin.
I was applying the Chosen like a band aid
God revealed to me it was dangerous.
@@overcomeinone8371The trinity isn't man made and has it's basis in the Bible.
That doesn't make sense. The church with the true Christ would also have the true Christians and vice versa.
The Chosen breaks, at minimum, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 9th Commandments. Christians should have nothing to do with this show.
Thank you for sharing all the facts on the chosen because I see the people around me struggling with this and me trying to explain to them is difficult they want to see other opinions so giving this to them will help a lot thank you
Well done! THANK YOU both! Going to listen to the entire discussion again.
Please... Can someone pray for my exhusband's salvation...and a possible restoration of my marriage. Its been 2 yrs, but nothing is impossible for God. Thank you
Sister, in all the fuss about this dumb show, you shine a light on our primary role; to love God and to love our neighbor. Be the woman nagging the judge, but know that the judge loves you and has a plan for you to bring you from this moment, to His throne.
Subbed & Liked! Enjoyed the video! Good work & God bless in 2024!
"The heart is
deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked:
who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9) Please think of this dear friend: After the Millenniel Reign of Christ Jesus here on earth, there will be untold numbers who will rise up and join Satan in a final rebellion against Jesus!
Big NO to any Jesus movie! Thank you for reviewing CHOSEN!
Really? I’ve lead hundreds to Christ in the jungles of the Amazon and Cambodia using THE JESUS MOVIE. Careful what you close your mind to before knowing what you’re talking about.
