Take my money!💸
The only thing that's missing for me on the edc27 is a 1 ish lumen moonlight mode. That would make it perfect for me.
Moonlight modes are good as long as they are easy to get to.
Mag connection and also reverse charge would be the others that I wish it had.
It doesnt't have moonlight mode but the lowest mode is not too bright and also it's easy to use when you just push first button half way for a little time so it's fast to check things quickly.
I am medical student and I have nitecore tiki le and I absolutely love it, compact size, battery life and different light intensity. I carry it everyday.
I would love to try out EDC27 and thank you Nitecore for making such high quality products
Great video, the explanations for different uses gives you a different perspective on why each light can be the best for you.
Im just getting into carry lights and your channel has been great help. Would love to see more EDC content. Thank you!
Very cool, thanks man! It helped me make a decision. Going with the EDC.
I bought EDC27 and have been pretty happy with it. First I thought that two button UI would be complicated but it is actually really easy to use and it's much better than playing with only one button/switch. You can also turn on the low power light with half way pushing button 1 for a little while so you can quickly check things and if you need quickly more light just push button 2 half way.
My favorite Nitecore RUclips Channel hands down, love the intro music, background setup, the detailed description and the testing grounds. And I’m from the US, thanks for transmitting the passion through your videos!
So glad you love it! Let me know if there’s anything more you want to see!
@@NitecoreSG PLEASE ASK NC TO PROVIDE(HONEST) RUN TIME GRAPHS ON ALL LIGHTS (LIKE FENIX)
@@BOOSTEDLASER I'm not sure where you looked but I think The Nitecore main website is probably the most comprehensive I've seen to date.
When you select a product it features EVERYTHING one would like to know about the product unlike some other popular brands like O*.
@@BOOSTEDLASER true. at least if all the big brands are honest, they will all admit that turbo modes and such absolutely RINSE the batteries and none will be that much better than the other in reality if they are all truly on equal footing! the strongest warriors all bleed mortal blood after all.
@@twrcrew8852 RINSE?
Great video as usual....love the detailed explanation on the different scenarios of use. A headlamp comparison between Nitecore and other brands would be helpful.
So happy this video dropped. I’ve been pondering this exact question since your last Nitecore EDC27 video. As a LEO it’s a no brainer, EDC… if I can find, or win one! Definitely finds swap out my olight warrior pro 3. Looking forward to reviews of smaller edc style lights. Thanks for all your work.
Awesome presentation and experience explanations of needs and resources at the instant need thanks
Edc27 is awesome! Only thing I would like to see added is some sort of magnetic option perhaps as an accessory or built in on the next gen. Great work on the comparison video 👏 🙌
Loved the video!! Very well done 👏🏾 Definitely like the Nitecore the best for switch functions!!
I just purchased an EDC27 for me and one for my wife. I have no doubt we will love them. Thanks for the video!
thanks a bunch for your nitecore reviews. i actually plan on getting the EDC27 asap :)
Once you’ve had that display it’s hard to do without. Knowing exactly how much run time is left is a game changer.
I'd Love to see more EDC head to head. Great content! Keep up the good work guys! 👏
Fair comparison, although all have a similar form factor I think the EDC27 has the best thought out button controls for all types of users. Like the instant turbo/strobe, OLED screen for remaining runtime & fast recharging which is important considering it's a fixed battery. The Wuben X2 is another similar style edc worth a look.
I think the EDC27 is a great light! The form-factor, screen, brightness, runtime and USB-C charging are not something seen in many EDC lights and that makes it stand out to me. I use a Thrunite for work but this would be a great replacement!
This video is fantastic! Edc27 is the one for me. It would be interesting to compare versus much smaller lights and discuss the pros and cons (like against rovyvon light).
The best Nitecore channel, very informative. I have the EDC27...love it!!
Put it to good use!
I got the olight arkfeld and the Nitecore EDC27. Both are good but since both are around the same price the EDC27 is a much better buy. just the 1000 lumen mode that doesnt drop down is reason enough to choose this light. i have bought a lot of flashlights in the last 4 years. This is my favorite one to carry. Only suggestion as a frequent user. always fully lock the EDC27 when you dont use. because the ''mode'' button is hyper sensible to pressure.
In der Front Pocket is geting hot?
@@darkokovacevic1690 no it never gets hot in 1000 lumen mode. Lock before you put in pocket
@@the_nma5119I have been asking this to a lot of channels, reviews, I even ask a couple here but got no answer yet,
Have you managed to have P20iX? If so, how does it compare to its floodbeam? Which has wider beam? I want to light up vast area
@@kodaph Yes i have both. p20ix has wider and more beautiful beam but also is much heavier and is much bigger. the ease of use and carry of the EDC27 beats everything for me. I never had a light that could do so many things at once. recharge time is amazing... lumen output is amazing. battery life is amazing + you have the screen. Pocket clip is the best i ever seen. Both are worth the price and buy. Range is the same (220m). If in build battery doesnt bother you because apparently some people have a problem with that even if their apple phones and laptops have inbuilt battery go for the p20ix. If not dont hesistate 1 minute to buy EDC27. They nailed it. i dont even notice the 1000 lumen difference on turbo.
Just keep in my that 4 LED use more battery and produce more heat than 2.
Great video! The edc27 will be my next light I have the arkfeld uv that I am daily carrying right now. I do like it I just want a little more and thanks to your review I think the edc27 is my meal ticket!
I love the EDC27. From the U.S military prospective I wish it had a red light or an attachable filter.
That might be in the works soon
Very interesting comparison and explanations, thx
Love the explanation - great usecase examples
this is the best EDC light so far in the market, it's very useful in our kind of work Rope Rescue Tech. we need a light that is very reliable, very handy and bright enough to work in the dark.good job NITECORE.👌
Wow, that was slick: just glide right over the issue of built-in batteries . . .
Excellent comparison video. Thank you. I liked them all so I bought all three 😅
Actually this is the heads-up I've been waiting for as I'm looking to transition away from cylindrical lights for carry. Looks like the EDC27 beats out the competition for how I'd want to use it!
Has OLight sorted out the issue with the issue with metal in your pocket (keys, coins, etc...) touching the charging circle and shorting out? Try it, touch your OLight tail cap with something metal connecting the center to the ring. It will probably create a small spark which is bad enough and it will short out the switch requiring it to be removed and replaced to reset. There is no way I can depend on OLight as an edc or defense light if I have to remove and replace the tail cap to get it to turn on. When they fix that problem with their lights I might buy another one
Interesting comparison, very informative.
All 3 options look great as EDC lights for the urban commuter with a flatter profile than your typical tactical light, which may attract some strange looks especially if they create a suspicious bulge in your pockets. As an office worker, I would certainly prefer to carry one of these on me all the time to prepare for any emergency situation. But my choice will have to be the EDC27 with its great UI and more intimating look if it's used in a self-defence scenario.
I travel a lot, so I bought the arkfeld with uv to check the linens in the hotel, rooms and Airbnb’s but I used a Edc 27 as a daily carry
Really enjoy your videos. Just got my NU33 yesterday after watching your review and the EDC27 is next on my list. Used Fenix lights for years but Nitecore is quickly becoming my favorite
Glad you like them!
I definitely want to see a roundup of head torches. All the big brands have a lot of different offerings and it's tough to figure out what is the best fit.
Brilliant review tied to use case / user function
Nice head-to-head comparison. I believe in the review I saw on the latest Arkfeld that there's a way to have laser and light together, unless I'm misremembering. Will likely go with the EDC waiting for Black Friday.
Great review! There are too many brands and options for me to suggest any comparisons. Olight has flooded the market and I own a few of them. They hold up well. I’m looking at these flat lights to use for my job and the 27 seems to click all the boxes. I’ll have to pick one up!
Excellent review Sir.
*Stiletto Pro vs Arkfeld UV! Also the RovyVon E series!* This was the exact video I was looking for! Switched from olight baton to the wedge. Didn’t realize how much I relied on a low lumin mode until I was already carrying the wedge and didn’t have that capability. Considering a switch to the Arkfeld UV. True deep carry and low lumin mode is crucial for a regular guy edc. Thanks for the unbiased review! Great video with superb production value! Subbed for sure!
Rovyvon E series, ok will add this to the list!
Love the EDC 27. You know I gotta see the surefire stiletto pro vs the EDC 27. Love the video, brother
was looking at the edc 27 very impressed with its light and range
I really want to get into nitecore lights I have a ton of olights but I love this design on the edc27
have you solved the problems of the EDC27? Switch that rattles and doesn't turn flashlight on or off on first press but often takes 2 to 4 or presses before activating or deactivating? They are all defective there are many videos that prove it. Do you make a V2 without defects?
Fantastic and really well thoguht out review! Subscribed!
Welcome aboard!
The surefire stiletto would be a good choice to compare especially for every day usefulness.
I tried getting the stiletto pro for this comparison but it was sold out everywhere. Maybe in a future video 👍
More than double the price though, don't think it's worth it
Love all your videos! I would love to see a Nitecore vs with Klarus E3 and Olight Warrior mini 3 cause I don't have very clear wich of Nitecore's lights are in that target. MH12SE, perhaps?
Been watching this channel for years. Have brought many edc flashlights cuz of this guy. Thank you!
That is awesome!
I have always depending on Nitecore lights. Really interested in this new edc27, hope to try it soon
Two things my edc light has to have. A magnetic tailcap and a >1 lumen mode. I use both pretty much every single day.
i just ordered my first Tiki for urban EDC and wanna test UV too, watched the UV explaination you mentioned, but it was only tested on bank note , i wonder what kind of stain will show and what kind of pattern will show when you shine UV light on stain...
i think something like what UV light can do might be fun too. because most of the review video i watched they always talk about lumens and how far the torch can shoot. i just wonder did anyone did a many situation of what UV light can do? then compare with other brands i am not sure , i am new in EDC torch light stuff
I wanted to ask you, what is the best new-ish Nitecore multi-color flashlight? I had the Nitecore SRT7GT and bought a Crenulated bezel with it, for defense, and i was pretty satisfied. But I bought that in 2018 and gave it to a friend. I want a updated multitasked light, updated to modern standard. Latly i have only bought mini lights like TM4K and from Rovyvon but am looking for a bigger multicolored one.
these videos are really amazing, I share your preference for tactical end cap switches. I wish the lockout on the EDC27 was realized by a mechanical slider like on the EDC33
Very good point to make a VS to show the good feature on Nitecore product vs the others and beeing honest :)
Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I bought all three. Returned the EDC27 and Arkfeld. The EDC27 was finicky as hell in its menu settings. The Arkfeld would not remember the last setting used. Kept going back to moonlight setting. The Wedge is my favorite now. Simple and just works.
The arkfeld always goes back to last setting. The ONLY way to get to moonlight is by holding the button. I’m thinking you would always hold the button to turn it on…
Thanks for this informative video!
Been a Nitecore fan since I got my P12GT many years ago.
Suggestion for future videos: head-to-head with comparable Rovyvon models
Yes I’ve been seeing rovyvon a lot. Will add that to the list
I like the way you lay good foundation of ways of thinking before you jump into the content. Getting a good start means a lot.
I had a Wedge. I bought it immediately when I found it on shelf in the US. The Wedge's winning features (at that time) were;
A) the cognitive switch because i) I can turn it on at any stage of mind; just woke up, dazzled, so sick, very weak, hurt, shaking cold etc. ii) with a glove off or on (I used it with a thick gloves there once, and iii) user-friendliness; you just flick it, and Anyone in the family can do; so easy.
B) the usb-c charging port is best for travellers and campers, and
C) the deep pocket carry together with its shape, it sits nice and tight in the pocket ready to go. It has a tactical twist on it this way...
Overall, I enjoy this vdo and want to look into EDC27 now.
This edc27 is just what I need short compact design and easy to use it's perfect.
Also with the arkfeld pro (probably pretty new i just got into edc) the laser can also work with the flashlight at the same time. Just double press the button with the laser on.
Really appreciate the comparison
Can you do a keyring flashlight comparison. I like the utility of a light wight keyring led torch but I imagine there is way more available than the cheap generic ones
I have the arkfeld!! I use my pinky to turn on or off or to change brightness levels!
One of my favorite "EDC27" And my most favorite brand "Nitecore"
Would love to see you compare the surefire stiletto to a similar nitecore light. Thank you in advance.
Well done, you have reviewed all 3 fairly
hope you can rate sa best rechargeable EDC flashlight. thank you!
Which Nitecore lights with best floodbeams to recommend, aside from P20iX?
very nice comparison! nice upbeat background music too. hope you can feature nitecore bike lights against other brands like fenix, or magicshine or maybe wuben? more power to you!
Nitecore mt06md vs acebeam pt10 next please and then tiki gitd vs rovyvon aurora.. keep doing these reviews and comparison, it helps us know the products better! Thank you!
I have the P20ix but this torch design seems kinda cool slim and nice to hold
Awesome honest review ❤ signed up to Your store RUclips channel and 😮Germany with shipping and taxes makes Singapore more expensive than local stores. I have the olight because of light and laser using it every day. But like the edc 27 a lot but always sold out 😮 I Cary at work as secondary edc the olight Marauder mini 7000 lumen sometimes needed but 3000 would be enough mostly 😊
Great review, very fair
I'd love to see some comparisons to the Milwaukee flashlights like the L4FL2000301 & their headlamps.
I've been wanting this light since I seen it. ❤
I am in the military, mostly the in the bush. Well it is between p23i and 12se but the p20i makes it really hard to choose... I am looking for compact and flexibility it may have to be carried in the pocket 😭😭😭
I love the olight arkfeld because I can shoot with both hands using the Wilson combat method. I removed the clip, and it's a perfect finger grip and printing a custom combat ring for it now as a back up
Won’t the switch affect usage with firearm? As in you can’t turn off the light as and when you need to
Love this kind of videos
Love the new EDC27 especially for public safety responders
Thanks so much MJ for always explaining Nitecore flashlights thoroughly. When I'm stressed, just by watching your videos about Nitecore flashlights, It helps me relax.
Love to win that Nitecore EDC27. Is it okay to compare other flashlights with Nitecore?
is it possible to compare camping lights like the Nitecore LR40 vs Sofirn LT1S.
Will add that to the list!
Very good comparison.. 👍👍
I love the Nitecore P20iX! I also have the P23i. Hoping to win this NEW EDC27!!!
Très bon comparatif. Très bien expliqué,en particulier pour les néophytes. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Je m'abonne.
My edc now is the nitecore mh10 v2, i find the edc27 quite intresting to get.
I feel you shorted the Olight on the "industrial" category as is far exceeds the others in terms of hands free use as its pocket clip is bidirectional which allows it to be clipped in many circumstances the others simply can't. This can easily be a deal breaker when you consider just clipping it it to the bill of a hat let alone many other possibilities such as a sheet material, a wire, a screw, etc..Very well done review.
any holster to carry on a duty belt?
Thanks!
Very detailed comparison . How does the edc 27 compares to P18 when it comes to covert operation in enforcement duties?
For pure silent switching, P18 is better. But for modern tech, brightness and slim shape, it still goes to EDC27.
THIS is how one makes an unbiased video!
Single best Flashlight Video Channel! Puts all other channels about flashlights to shame.
Thank you! Appreciate the kind feedback
i shot night life insect photo a lot, looking for a handy edc torch not only for short flashing by one hand, also for self emergency signal tools. thanks I found your channel
Nitecore edc27 is hands down my favorite edc light
After watching MJ's comparison video, it makes total sense for me to purchase the EDC27.
Thanks for breaking down the pros and cons by user types and user requirements.
As a community first responder who is also an urban prepper, this is a great EDC light.
Due to its compact shape and features, I see it as a marry of keychain light and traditional powerful handheld lights.
Glad it helped! Yes there’s no one perfect light but there’s a perfect light for every user.
For the arkfeld i just hold it by the button, not as good a grip but stil quick enough for controls.
Have a TUP and a E4K would love to add an EDC27 to my carry
Thank you
Really liking that edc27 light.
Dang…the exact comparison I was hoping you would do. Would love your thoughts on the Cloud Defensive MCH.
Will add that to the list. Been looking at their lights too.
That was the perfect example for which one I will buy next.
G'day from Australia 🇦🇺
glad we helped!

please compare the EDC25, Olight Arkfeld Pro and RovyVon E30 Pro.
Great video
