This guy is the reason I buy Nitecore products. He presents better than any other flashlight spokesman. Really shows how much they pay attention and try to make things better. Whatever they’re paying this guy it isn’t enough.
Glad it helps! Appreciate the feedback 👍
Yeah, this guy is good and all but I buy them because they're consistently the best lights on the market.
💯
I totally agree ✌🏼️
Well he totally screwed up about the ipx rules. This things is not made for what he showed
man... this isn't a sales pitch. this is therapy for us flashaholics.
I don't need another flashlight but will order this soon. Nitecore you need to pay this guy a salary.
I've had this light on my keychain for over a year and the screen, lockout modes, 200 lumen mode, plus USB-C charging make this the best light ever. Add to that a turbo mode at 500 lumens and it's an insanely good light.
Best reviewer ever. You really go into detail on the things that matter.
Thanks for the kind feedback! If there’s anything that you feel can be done better, just let me know!
I have owned more than several Nightcore flashlights and have never been disappointed and likewise this gentleman right here is one of the best reviewers and spokespersons .. complete and accurate real world information without throwing a sales pitch at you
Just ordered one of these, that display, functionality and the brightness to size ratio sold me.
I have been using TIP 2 for about 1 year + so far no problem and I love it. 👍🏻
I got one and am very pleased with the performance and price. i think it shows the way with the display that gives output and run times, i suspect this will be adopted by flashlight manufacturers. There is one thing i would think is important to have on a future Tini 3 is there needs to be a very low level LED at the back or sides to see what key you have on your keychain. A single rotary barrel switch with push-button function would be nice too.
Probably the best practical and intelligent review of any light I have seen...apart from real time light test comparisons this review is why I will buy this light
I bought this the other day after watching this vid. First time I say this light i was pleasantly happy with my Nitecore tube but this just replaced it. Keep up the great work on these vids.
your explanations are really good! thanks
I recently got this light because of this review. Thanks for this! I love em.
I have just bought this light
In my job I have to safety check vehicles at night so I need a good reliable light, I like to use a small pocket light attached to a chain on my belt loop so it’s always with me, the screen makes this light very useful.
I am also regularly on the coastline at night and the screen is wonderful, if I know I have a 30 minute walk back in the darkness I can feel confident my light will last, truly wonderful feature.
I however have 2 problems with this light.
Firstly changing between demo mode and daily mode by holding both buttons down is a particularly bad feature for me. it took me 10 minutes to figure this out by trial and error.
In a few months time I will accidentally put it in demo mode again and will have forgotten how to change modes, I find this incredibly annoying.
Secondly the metal (I think it’s aluminium) casing, while metal could be seen as more premium it just means it will very quickly become scratched when it comes into contact with keys etc,.
I keep my tiki le on a chain along with a small Swiss Army knife, the tiki is plastic and the knife has plastic scales , which means they don’t scratch each other.
My tiki le with its plastic casing is much better to carry, in an emergency situation when you need both hands free it’s also much better to hold between your teeth, although this is probably not something nitecore would want to encourage.
Huh. Im very happy with my Tip SE but you hit the nail on the head with what you said about always wondering how much battery is left and preserving use cuz of that. Very convincing
Seen your video yesterday, ordered it right away. And just got it in the mail.
Amazing review !
Just got my Nitecore delivery today. Got the P20iX, MH12S, and the TUP. I couldn't be happier. Looking forward to getting more from Nitecore in the future.
Awesome! Put them to good use!
keep up the good work sir, your reviews are gold, 👍
Best reviewer ever..!
Thanks so much..
He quoted $69, but that’s in Singapore. It’s $39.95 in the USA. Nice little pocket light, but just a bit too small for my hand. The TIP SE is sized right, but no readout, button lockout, or charge port cover. The raised buttons would likely be a problem and using the cover would make it bulky for pocket carry. Maybe the next gen TINI or TIP will be right for me.
Nice consideration for a pocket light. Still partial to my Rovyvon A5x at 650lm and half the size, although no readout. Good review, as always. 👍🔦👍
Great job with these videos.
Where can I find that bendable usbc cable?
awesome review. 👍🏽👍🏽
I still can't decide! Tip se, tup, tini2 the T4k to! I want one of each! I've used a Thrunight Archer 1A daily for years for working on machines. I wish the smallest light had a pocket clip.
Good review, but I can’t seem to find the flex cable you demonstrated. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Wow. Buying one for my wife and me after finishing this video.
I use the tiki and super super like it, love the product :)))
Mine stays in my pocket and it gets a lot of wear but I've never had any problems with it. One of the best features is the two step lock which is very easy to use✌️✌️
bruh I don't know how I end up here, but now I see that I need a TINI 2
I love my Nitecore Tini2
Can’t go anywhere without this torch, have to check my pockets to make to sure I still have it😂 most 2nd best tool after my phone!
Battery anxiety. At what % does yours kick in when using your phone?
For me it's anything less than 50%
Great review, your enthusiasm, product knowledge and application are first class.
30% for me 😄👍 thanks for the support! If there’s any place you feel can be improved just let me know
60% for me lol
@@NitecoreSG Would be good to know what the chassis / body is made from. I don’t think that was covered in the review
... Will you guys, do any diamondyze /cerakote, Stainless steel, or Ti versions of this key light?. (Any 2.0 versions of your mt22a edc light, for example AAA version, or carbon plastic, etc ?).
I have the tiny 2, it's awesome. Can you tell me where to get that rigid usb cable?
I bought a TINI 2 recently and I am surprised at just how uhh *TINI* it is. A car fob dwarfs this thing. At the same time it puts out more light than most of my lamps if you go to *turbo* mode.
I have a love for my Maglite Mini with the incandescent bulb, but that thing puts out 12 lumens with a widely dispersed beam.
You could put a TINI 2 on your keychain and forget it's even there until the lights go out.
Find it crazy couldn’t imagine what the future holds
I WANT ONE.. i love NITECORE PRODUCTS
Is there plans to update this to a version 3 anytime soon? Does not seem like it needs an update but worth a ask before I buy😅
Is there any new upgrade of Tini 2 light coming up, so I know to wait for it.
Good night ! The display of my Tini2 doesn,t turn on anymore. Do you know if it is a defect or configuration problem ? (it should turn on when pressing the mode key). Thanks !
So informative! Is it possible to change the color temperature of the TINI2? Thanks.
It is not, sir.
3:30 where do I get the cable?
best reviewer on youtube
I saw one of the tini2 on Lazada black in colour but the buttons are silver is that an authentic version ?
I can be feeling max stress.. I spin up my mans flashlight vids and I start feeling better 🤷♂️ I dunno.. Im a flashlight geek no question haha
This young man is the reason why I buy one instead another manufacturer.
Like to see a clip that's Molle compatible to attach this to a backpack or other gear.
🤗 Do you have a link for the battery 🔋 pack 😊
Thanks for the video. I'm amazed that he actually put the flashlight in water😉 . It's only IP54; meaning it's only protected from water spray! Maybe he should have looked up the meaning first. What he did will void the guarantee. So warning to whoever watched this video. Please avoid submerging this flashlight in water.
Where can I get one of those cables?
got a link for the flex usbC stand?
I need that flexible cable.
well presented :D
What camera are you using for filming?
This is insane!
Hey! I think the lighter, smaller form factor of the Tini 2 would make it the best choice for clipping to a cap without being a distraction from the style! If it doesn't have that ability, I hope the next gen iteration of the Tini line might allow to slide a clip on and off it.
But for now, which of these comes with a clip that I can clip to a baseball cap visor or cross-body bag? Tip SE, or Tini 2 or both, or neither, in which case could you advise what Nitecore model best meets that need... Lightweight and small as possible being the priorities.
Great video content and products by the look of it! TY and hope you're well! 👍
Put a small velcro square on the backside of light and another on the underside of the bill of a hat.
Great size and lumen ratio, wonder why there isn't a version designed to mount to a picatinny rail with momentary switch
It works great velcroed to the plain side (L) of my shotgun receiver. I have a short shotgun with wood furniture and detest mounting lights on the barrel or mag tube. Decent application for just achieving target identification.
Just ordered t4k expensive light but will worth it.
Can I get a link to the flex cable please
11.55 are those run times calculated for their max lumens lightning ?
So can use it while charging without overheat?
Whats the brand of your flex usb cAble?
Nice video
what's the difference between the regular and stainless steel tini2?
will you be doing a full review on the T4k?
Yes for sure. It’s in the queue
@@NitecoreSG please stop pointing any flashlight to the camera. Thank me later. Just my 2 cent lah.
Will Nitecore develop an updated version of NM01 or something that falls on that category or size?
I’m sure it’s in the queue. There are many 21700 lights coming up this year
@@NitecoreSG it's gonna be an exciting year then 😀
hello.. i have a question..i am sure you can answer it. i wonder if Tini2 has also a clip like the Tup or SE... and if not.. please tell me wich small model that also has a oled display has a clip. thank you. i like the tini2 very much and id wish to can fix it on a hat. thanks and keep up. nice clips
Hi it does not, the next closest is TUP or T4K, but those are much larger than the TINi2
Does it remember the last mode you were on when you turn it on, or does it reset back to default?
It remembers
Too bad it does not remember the last locked Mode 1 after turning it off. Instead I have to long press and lock it manually again.
Did I missed something?
What happens after 2-3 years of using this flashlight, does the torch end up in landfill or can we change out the rechargeable battery and bulbs if necessary?
I think some DIY allow u to change battery
You forgot to mention the color temperature. It might help some people. I generally go for Cool white (5000k) for any light I get, even all the recessed lights in my home. So these disappointed me a little. Didn't mention it in the description of the product page on Amazon.
Ask anyone that carry’s basic EDC and they will always carry a flashlight and a knife. Why not combine both? I’m sure there’s been cheaply made flashlight and knife combos before but I feel like Nitecore could make something reasonably good quality and something people would actually like to carry.
Sooo go for tini 2 or tup?? Hmmm
How do you compare Tini 2 with Lumintop Frog??
I would buy this over a TIP SE if it had a clip so I can also use it to clip into a pocket and mount it on a baseball cap
If I only choose one would you advise getting the TIP SE over the TINI2?
That’s what I want to know?
Dude I did not have battery anxiety before but I do now lol 😂
Pity it doesn't seem to come with a clip to attach to a cap for a makeshift head torch, otherwise looks pretty awesome
Yes it’s a tad too small to come with a pocket clip
Glue one on.
@@Mustard4207 people these days😂
Let alone make one
Hello...
Would nitecore launch a new product (keychain light) in this year?
I've been waiting for it
Is there something you’re looking for that’s not in the current lineup of keychain lights?
Yeah maybe..
Honestly I have the nitecore series (tup & tiki ).
For now that's I want just somethink like tini 2 but have a clip,so that's easier for me to hang on in my hat or cap
Dear bro, may I know what material is the tini2 body? Is it plastic or aluminum alloy? Thank you.
Aluminum
@@NitecoreSG Thank you very much.
Do you recommend this over other edc flashlights?
depends on purpose, if you don't need something more longer lasting or brighter then this could work
One do wnsode is that HUGE CE logo on that back, not sure why they TS there and don't even start about its size. Makes it look cheap
You should mention which dollar you're using. Singapore or US
It’s SGD, but yes will mention next time
Mi tiny 2 can't be unlocked at the first try. Almost always I take it out of the pocket, try to unlock it (I can see the animation) an then it shows the lock. I then need to wait for the lock to go away to finally unlock it for good. Asked nitecore for a replacement and they said I need to pay 20€ for shipment of my old light back. For a 40€ light that doesn't work, I should pay for their products malfunction? Incredible
Me: My Nitecore MT10C still works, but I'll watch this video...
*watches video*
Me: Dammit! Why did I do that? *places order for TINI 2*
so are you making firearm lights as well
Why why why didn't you include a clip like on the tup? Thats why I got the tup instead
The TINI was too small to put a clip on. And yes that’s why the TUP exists, for those that need a large pocket clip 👍
@@NitecoreSG a tiny removable clip would have been perfect so it can be clipped to a cap. Its ok though I'm very happy with the tup
I have the original tini, and I hate it. It constantly turns on in my pocket and goes flat, and no matter how many times I switch it into daily mode, it automatically reverts to demo mode and turns off after 30 seconds. Not sure this one would be any different.
They added many features the older tini doesn’t have. Especially for preventing it turning on in your pocket.
Perfect size for my needs but unfortunately only got about a week out of this before one of the LEDs died. Pretty disappointed as I've had a TUBE for quite a while and my wife loves her TIP2. Anyone else had issues with one of these yet?
That’s quite impossible for the LED to die, it’s probably battery fault. Bring it back to your retailer to have it swapped
@@NitecoreSG Thanks for the prompt reply. It could well be. It was a pure guess on my part. Either way, only one of the two LEDs illuminates and screen shows that battery was at 4.20 volts. I have sent it back to where I purchased it for a refund. I'll keep using my TUBE until I decide which way to go as far as an upgrade.
Nitecore #1.
Question . When the battery reaches end of life is it easy to replace for a new one
It’s built in. So when that time comes you have to replace the whole light. It should last a good 3-5 years depending on use.
@@NitecoreSG o that's a shame its seemed to be to good a quality light to be disposable. It seems more and more manufacturers are moving away from a green ethos. Pity.
@@ks-hg5vo isn’t it the same with phones? Everything is built in
@@NitecoreSG not really you just take a phone to a shop and they swap in a new one. Perhaps nitecore should take the lead and offer a replaceable battery service . I would buy without out hesitation. I've have a few nitecore and they are all been great flashlights. Except the tube with the flimsy solder connection on the pcb to the battery. Most people like good quality products without the premise of having to throw them away for the sake of a battery. Maybe 1 or 2 of 10180 batteries. I'm not bashing nitecore just this particular disposable mindset is very 1980s.
@@ks-hg5vo most lights from nitecore have disposable and replacable batteries. It just not really possible in this small form factor. Once you try to do that it adds to the size of the light and makes the entire design obsolete. This is only a really cheap light as well and its easily gonna last anyone at least 5 years. And in 5 years the tech will be so far beyond the current one that most people are gonna buy at least one new light anyway.
I have a question. Why does T4K maxed out at 4K on turbo mode, but the second highest setting is only at 200 lumens? Is there any spesific thoughts behind this choice?
The brightness modes at 200 lumens and under have tested and proven to be the most useful for small, edc keychain lights.
The goal with the T4K is to push the limits of the turbo mode beyond 1k lumens so those that wanted more power than the TUP, can go for the T4K.
If they had made the T4K have 1K or 2K lumens, then it won't make sense in the product line up to have 2 lights doing the same thing.
And more turbo modes above 200 lumen would mean even more complex controls, eg stage 1 and stage 2 turbo? That would make it harder to use on a daily basis.
Also on a marketing and competitive stage, nitecore can now claim to have the smallest and brightest, and engineering feat in itself. Hope it helps!
The imalent ld70 is smaller and only uses 1 cree xhp 70.2 led 4000 lumens on turbo only downside is 20 lumens low mode no firefly mode unfortunately
@@keithnorton5720 propreitary charging tho
I can't believe you didn't take it outside
nice flashlight but we need strobe.
Another cool offering. But will there ever be a Nitecore THUMB V2? Something a bit more premium around 150 lumens, small magnet somewhere on the clip, two modes no strobe and more body color options? I work on/in/under cars all day and the cheap $20 Nitecore THUMB gets the most use over my more expensive lights. The Streamlight 90627 Knucklehead comes in second; it's an excellent work light but I can't hold it in mouth (yes, we do that sometimes).
Yes a supercharged thumb light will be very awesome to have. Hope that’s in the works!
I dropped my Tini 2 while opening my door and one of the led stopped working 😢
Update : I fixed it by dropping it a few more times on the floor 💀
Good for Uber eats and doordash …perfect to find address numbers.
Do rather tube and tiki with type c charging port.
Screen cover is just a thin piece of cheap plastic. LOVED this light... bought 3 versions. Always wore clipped to belt loop...
But decided to put one of keychain. And that Very First time on keychain.... screen was cracked!!
Thought a fluke, so put my black one on keychain... and yet again.. On keychain in pocket... another cracked screen!!
So disappointing.. build quality almost perfect but covering its most unique/coolest feature (the OLED display) is just a thin piece of plastic.
Has this major weakness been upgraded on the SS & Ti versions??
(Unfortunately I think it has not)
Did you find the cause of the screen cracking? If you cracked 3 screens doing the same thing, something is probably too sharp pressuring on it on your keychain when you move or sit.
If that’s the case even if it’s glass it’s still going to crack
Thank you for your reply.
I teach piano so not like something brutal to a pocket.
On keychain... honda keyless entry fob, house key, and lego minifigure keychain guy.
Cracks seem to have come from house key when squatting. If the house key lines up just right (or wrong) , and with pressure inside the pocket... enough to crack the screen.
I'm sure I'll head back to this awesome little lights... but for now still worried the one weak point might crack.
And the ones already cracked... Definitely can't have them out when it's raining, since all water resistance is out the window.
