I am a medical staff. I need to be on call 24 hours. Most of the old buildings of the hospital are very far apart from each other. When I need to see a patient in another building, I need to walk in relatively dark areas to reach the building during the night. I am talking about 2-3am in the morning. I really need a small but powerful light that can illuminate my way and to be used as a defensive tool against potential threats from strangers. It can be used as a beacon telling drivers that I am crossing the road to reach another building. Believe me, there are many hospitals in my country with this kind of layout. Thank you.

I am after a new flashlight for my work with aircraft.
I do several walk arounds / pre & post flight inspections per day & night shift.
I’m currently using a 500 lumen torch and it’s just not cutting it, especially on A380 tails where the throw gets lost in tarmac lighting.
The EDC35 will be a perfect combination for aircraft tails and also landing gear wheel wells as I will be able to switch and hybrid the light options as I need.
Combined with my nitecore headlamp, this will be a great combo.
    Great design too!
    Keep up the great work.

Hello from Portugal 👏! Great video!
This EDC35 is the best of the 3 worlds.
I'm a senior technician in the work inspection and i have 3 flashlights - and all 3 for diferent tasks.
It's true that only in specifics situations you will need all the power at maximum and for a long period of time.
In my particular case 3 in one to: - read documents and overral rooms end near equipament; - light big spaces in edification in construccion or in activities sectores that need the extra light (boat fishees, agriculture, etc); and, finaly - the beam to show the and of a long corridor ou a elevator shaft.
Finaly is a tiny flashlight with features that is perfect for the daily use.
Keep making this videos to show us what is out there in the market and to give us good advices!

I rely on my torch to increase my chance of survival during my job. And I've *always* trusted Nitecore. But about 3 months ago my torch failed for some reason and doesn't appear to be fixable. It was the P20iX with TSL10i attached for visibility. I also use a red lens. So, I've gone back to using the TUP, which is pretty restricted. But it is an amazing torch for its size. It's one I've recommended to a lot of people because of the length of time the battery lasts on Level 3 at 65 Lumens. And at 200 Lumens for Turbo mode when needed.
The EDC35 looks truly awesome. So I'd love one. I'll have to save for it.
    Congrats to whoever wins it.
Thanks for sharing and showing what's new by Nitecore. It's an amazing brand.

Hey there! I recently came across your channel as I was researching a flashlight to replace my really old Anker Boldr 90c. I did not know anything about flashlights but your channel does a really good job in video production and explanation! I am starting to get into camping and hanging out in the woods and was really interested in the EDC 35 as an everyday flashlight! I have a couple of trips coming up (one of which is a trip to see the total solar eclipse!!!) and it be would be awesome to win one! I was also torn between the MH12 Pro/MH25 Pro and the EDC 33/35 so I think it would be a great idea to have an in-depth comparisons between all of them! I'm sure so many people are thinking the same. All the best - keep up the great work!!!

Hey MJ, one important innovation of the ''rotable cover'' of the usb port is to dissipate heat well, unlike rubber covers that just pops out when my TM9K TAC just got too hot. Heat cannot escape and therefore can't dissipate properly due to the blockage of the rubber cover. Heat forcefully pushes out the rubber cover. Anyways, I saw some youtuber that leaked the new TM9K PRO utilizing 3 sets of UHI 20 MAX just like in the EDC33. Three times the lumen power!!!

I operate in tactical application and I've built my light system all around nitecore products. I've got installed on my Wendy helmet the p10ix for a wonderful flood type beam able to be quickly regulated, while for mid distance I've got a p23i which give a decent hotspot and very generous spill that gives me the opportunity to take track on what happens around my peripheral view, and last but not least the long range option MH40s which helps a lot to take a very good look down range in open areas. I'd like to have the EDC 35 for every else not tactical application, along side with my LR70 to have complete efficiency in any scenarios. Great job Nitecore, keep it up.

I've used the EDC-33 for the past few months. Having a searchlight and a high intensity flood all in one compact package is a genuine game changer. Having those same benefits with even higher output sounds great - definitely going to get an EDC-35 when it's available where I am.

    • @kurogana01
      @kurogana01 2 месяца назад

The game changer will be when we have the flood light where it is most needed, in all modes. No sense, I am inside my house in the dark and have to choose between 15 lumens spot or 1200 lumens flood... the ideal is flood in low modes and spot in high, but nitecore did exactly the opposite...

    • @kurogana01
      @kurogana01 2 месяца назад

The high lumens flood is complicated, inside rooms is blinds you, outside spot is more efficient, so ONLY high lumens flood is not so usable, 99% of the time with the edc33 last month, I ended up using the 15 lumens and spot turbo, because all flood modes is too high for its purpose. Missing the low light flood, until then, I opt to carry an olight i5r to pair with edc 33 and cover this flaw ,is far more useable in edc as a low light flood, its what everybody needs, clip to a hat(nosense spot in a hat, and nosense 1200 flood in a hat), toobox, car, engine, doors, bathroom, kitchen, bags, cinema etc. Who needs 15 lumens spotlight? What is that for? And a very hot and big battery drain 1200 lumens flood, what is that for? Who is that for?
The ideal for me, would be an app that you can connect your smartphone via usb, like as charging, and you set the modes by your specific uses, like, I prefer the light click to be lumin shield, low modes flood and high modes spot. With this app, it could target ALMOST everybody, and not locking me with the modes they in their labs thinks is usable fo my cases... :)

I’m with a Tualang Honey haverster team. Our task requires us to locate beehives high up the trees during dark. I find that EDC35 really have all the features we needed. With a single hand operation, transition between walking in the unmapped forest using lower lumen and immidiate need to search the trees, change to higher lumens for spot and flood beam is super convenient because we dont need to search the trees for long, we need to move from place to place quickly.

Im a seafarer and i think that the best flash light to use onboard, for checking lashing and twist lock of high loaded containers, for searching stow aways, and a self defence for some pirates and thieves. Hoping to win 1 of that.❤🙏🙏

Not professional worker so I like this like for multi-tasking / Jack of all trade characteristic there. what I really like is simple control , no strobe mode, and easy lock out mode. Also no silicon flap for usb C port that in future could be spoil or tear off. Also in same price range the battery performance is really good.
If i ever win this, I actually want use this to fent off stray dogs with lumen shield if they try to approach me because my walking path got 2 different spots have strays.

I EDC flashlight due to the nature of my job. I'm an auditor for food industry, so always entering humongous warehouses. Additional lighting is very much needed since most of the warehouses got insufficient light intensity. So, thrower is definitely is a must for me.

    I liked the NTH20 holster.
But I am finding it impossible to find online to purchase. Showing the deficiency in the NTH32 is actually not going to work for me. I need one hand access on a duty belt. I do have a NTH25 holster. Will this work with the EDC35 or is it too big?

Nice review for a nice flashlight :)
Maybe an idea of a future video can be a comparison for utility/security lights (and other solutions) used not to see but to be seen like Nitecore NU05, Nitecore NU07, Nextorch UT41, Nextorch UT51, signaling cones for flashlights (Nitecore NTW34 by example), reflective head/arm/... bands, ...

Had the MT22C and HC65 for 4 years, HC65's used everyday in roof spaces as an electrican, the MT22 i'd love to replace with the EDC35, better battery, better ergonomics for brightness control for night works

What a Outstanding Light, I Own Several Nitecore Products, When I go Anywhere I will always Wear my P20ix, I will always trust my life with any Nitecore Light, What a Dream to have Such a EDC Light with both Flood and Throw, and having longer run time, What a Home Run. I also seem to always grab my Nitecore Light's when I might need to Track a Deer 🦌 and what a Genius ideal to show the Big difference with other Flashlight company's products. I know that I am 100 percent sure if I owned that Light, it would be my next best Freind, that I would never leave my Home without it. As always great review 👍. Sincerely your freind from Mo Rick God Bless 🙏 You Brother

Hi didn’t hear you talk about the bezel? May i ask is that consider a strike bezel? And is it make of steel and can i use it to break car windows or glass?

It’s not a strike bezel, just a normal one that’s been smoothed to prevent snagging.

Havent had any Nitecore in my tool case but i use flashlight working at night assisting my friend in his herpetofauna surveys (2-3 hours per session) at small streams in Sarawak. Endurance and spot light is critical and i'm curious how EDC35 handle my use case.

The EDC 35 is a great all-around flashlight. I am a baggage handler for a major airline. I use it to inspect the airplane before push time. The spotlight is very handy to inspect the leading edges and the tallest points of the plane. Also, to most of the facilities of the airport underground have very poor lighting. It makes it a whole lot easier to inspect freight coming out of the Freight house and to identify people in a secured area instead of looking at just shadows.

I am on call basically 24 hours a day at my complex. Need a good EDC light. Have had nothing but problems trying to find one. This looks like a decent alternative than what I've been dealing with. I had MS03. Imalent. it randomly died while using it indoors and on the second setting. Two months old took me 30 days of back-and-forth emails to convince customer service in China that my light was broken had to send them a video. They finally sent me a replacement head took a total of 45 days From when the light died to when I received my replacement. I shouldn't have to go through stuff like this. I need a good light that works. I have a smaller Nightcore NMO1. But I need something much brighter. Will be looking into this new light ASAP 😅

Switching it on/off takes some practise, I now succeed in 99% of my tries. However my girlfriend never managed to reliably switch it on and eventually gave up using it.
