This would be the flashlight to end all flashlights for me. I do plant maintenance in a huge factory that makes soda cans, you have probably drank out of the very cans that I have made. I often have to go up in the rafters of the building to do repair work and this flashlight would allow me to better see them from the ground before I have to climb all the way up to them. Great review as always, keep up the good work!!!
Hello! I am an officer with the CDCR (California correctional officer) which is a very important job where often times the element of surprise or the ability to temporarily blind a combative inmate is literally life saving. We sometimes have to search vehicles, large dormitories, or large fields in the event that an inmate escapes. Also, sometimes we signal to our partners with a light or it may be crucial to get an inmate's attention quickly. I could go on...I would REALLY love to have this special light. Thanks for taking the time to read.
Hi sir Mj! This is an honest opinion from us customers. Having sealed battery in a 20-40k flashlight hinders the user to use it in an extended amount of time. Because you know time will eat your battery and you need time, and wait for it to be fully charged. We customers are hoping soon that the next tiny monster will be a REAL monster when it comes to extending runtime because it now has a removable battery. And lastly, a slightly deeper reflector is a must-have. It will stay flood, but it has a throw because it has a slightly deeper reflector from this traditional reflector from Nitecore. I hope sir Mj, that you can send this customer concern to Nitecore, because we BELIEVE in you and you have the POWER and AUTHORITY to make them understand our emergency concern. I hope this message will reach them. Thank you in advance 🙏.
Having a reliable light source like this is essential for us as Telecom network engineers, particularly during night troubleshooting in areas with insufficient lightings. This becomes even more crucial when working on rural mobile sites or exchanges with no proper lights and require immediate resolution. In these situations, it is highly desirable to have a compact, lightweight, and powerful light that prioritizes our safety as well. Given that mobile signals and internet connectivity have become as essential as oxygen nowadays. lol
That thing is amazing! I have the TM20K and love it but I often work in tight places and clipped to my belt or pocket it keeps catching on things I walk past. I could keep that in my shirt pocket out of the way. It's perfect!!!
I live in alpine region and here good light has many uses, flashlight is primary edc item. We primarly use for off road trips, for searching domestic animals(cow, sheep...) that flood light is very good in the woods, for self defence against dogs and jackals, they run away or stay in a place when shining high amount of light.
I work at a station at night and most of the night we stay outdoors and many nights it’s very hard to see anything when it’s raining or foggy outside so having this light with me will make my life and my work much easier and better. Love Nitecore.❤
I work in a hospital environment for IT - and when reviewing our data closets (which mostly have the lights off to save energy), I need something that I can deploy quickly and have enough light power to see what I need to see. Also, when working in the data centers, I need to be able to see when racking and stacking equipment, and with the light not being directly in the rack, I need to be able to precisely see at a moments notice.
This flaslight is amazing, so small and so bright. It will be great to have something like this at my work in warehouse. I would use it to inspect dark corners, read labels on boxes, and identify details on products. Additionally, it could help me find items on high shelves or in dimly lit areas, improving efficiency and accuracy in my tasks. During night shift it will work like a dream
I am a new aircraft engineer and I have been using tini 2 and TIP SE for aircraft inspections at nighttime, both for cabin and external inspections. However, there are situations that I wish that I have a stronger floodlight with higher lumens. TM12K's weight and size will be perfect for me, as I carry manuals and other tools on my safety vest onboard the aircraft.
Having a light with a high output power can be a very good option for doctors. It may be useful to defend the attacks against us, which are not so rare in the country I live in, without harming them, with only a temporary blindness. I will definitely buy a flashlight like this one. Thank you for raising awareness about defense with light.
Wow thats awesome flashlight! I wish i have one of this for some reason our area at night is quite a bit dark, it will help us a lot especially during the night in our backyard, when watering the plants and crops at dawn..and also this kind of bright flashlight more helps for us this flooding season when the water level becomes high at night..
Working in the wafer fab semiconductor industrial , uses the HC35 for my work to see the wafer position inside my tool due to totally darkness and under vacuum condition. Safety issue we Can't turn on the RF just to view inside as it may damage our eyes. HC35 perfect tool for my work
Nitecorre for the win, being a flood beam this is exactly what id need no massive range throw and a great battery life. I work on a golf course on the grounds crew with early morning starts at 5am, theres alot of land to cover in the dark. A close proximity light like this would be graet for navagation and lighting up a bigger area for moving aroud the course being able to get all my morning tasks done before the players arrive. That 300 lumen setting for 7.5hrs is perfect and having the burst 12k lumen for quick longer range glances is why I love this light :). The size to power and battery ratio is so appealing, everry other flashlight with a similar performance is either alot bigger and bulkier or a cylinderical shape that is awkard to carry but this I could put in my pocket and call it a day.
As an EMT I would use this when responding to nightcalls, and the bright mode is good in case the patient would want to be aggressive and we can make space , as I would want to buy it, god knows we don’t get paid well for me to come to spend on it, I’m currently using a cheap on which keeps dying often, I hope I can win it.
I work in construction and this light will definitely be useful for general lighting! I have a p10i for my work sling, and this can probably be my picket main light since its square form factor will definitely work better in my pants pocket!
Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my experience living in a mountainous area and how I often assist in searching for lost hikers and tourists. As a searchlight, I currently rely on a pair of flashlights, the P20ix and P23i. They're compact yet emit a tremendous amount of light. This is crucial because I often have to conduct searches in hard-to-reach areas. However, I've been considering an upgrade, and I believe the TM12k would be a fantastic replacement for the P20ix. It offers even more brightness while the weight difference is not significantly higher. This would definitely enhance my search and rescue efforts. What are your thoughts? Have you tried the TM12k or any other flashlights that you would recommend?
Electrical maintenance contractor here with other brand flood lights but they are extremely large in comparison. Would be quicker to assess faults and reduce downtime of power outages with this pocket sized flood light! Cheers
Many times, the use of lights are associated with certain professions or jobs. The truth is they can be very useful even for people who at first glance, don't seem to require them at all. Part of my job as a writer is doing research. And contrary to how the word "research" may sound, it doesn't necessarily imply poring over old texts in a library. Many times, it involves real world exploration, because it is our job to observe and record everything, whether it's the situational dynamics in a public space, or the way a natural pond ecosystem lives and breathes in the night. It is during these outdoor explorations I find the right flashlight to be useful, as a tool to help the observation task, or as a security tool. The compact TM12K would be a really good fit for out-of-shape writers like me who're already encumbered by computers and notebooks!
This light is very useful for my work. I have a few reservoirs under my area of ops and sometimes hikers got lost inside. This would definitely help to save lives.
I am a crisis response personnel and carrying a P20iX. But sometimes, even a 4k lumens monster is not enough especially when on board a tanker in the middle of the ocean. Having this 12k monster is really helpful. Its not about using it all the time but having it available when the need arise.
@Nitecore Lights Agreed! Unfortunately, its not the water that concerns me. Its more to responding to a tanker emergency with no power on board and not knowing who or what is on board.
I can use this TM12K as a backup light when my onboard ship searchlights down, also known as spotlights, are used to visualize ships, objects or people in the sea from a distance by projecting a powerful or high-intensity beam of parallel rays of light.
I'm working part-time in a big warehouse (Tai Seng area) that is not brightly lit, there are many steel parts that are found everywhere and some structures are blocking the lousy Energizer torch light that I'm using. I hope I could win this to help myself to see better in this huge and tall warehouse. I injured myself a few times already while trying to search for parts.
You sir hwve made me purchase 5 nitecore lights. I am a mountain leader and sometimes out at night on trails covering huge distances. The torch is a monster so small i find the instant turbo bery powerful when scoping q route change, reading signals an signs in the distance. A superb light. I know ppl say batteriee not removable but that slso makes is robust and sealed. I am an engineer too i am sure if the battery did go weak there are options for w competent techy to ooen and replace. I have torches from many makes but Nightcore really so engineer their kit very well
I’m an aircraft maintenance quality control inspector for the largest domestic airline in the US. I’m also a flashlight junkie. I’m always in the market for “smaller” and “brighter”…especially flood lights. Most of the work I do is at night. This light is very intriguing!
I will use this high lumen light as an edc so that it can light my way especially on our compound. It is very dark. And at the same time a have a light for emergency during duty hours as an emt. Ty nitecore for your products!❤😊
In the forest a turbo flood light is useful to light up a large area and you'll see the animals eyes like beacons hiding in the dark bush. What you told about lighting up new trail areas is also very useful.

I am an ecclesiastical leader at our church and we take the kids out camping a few times each summer. This would be amazing to go searching for those few kids who like to scamper away from camp before bed. My wife would also use it as she takes care of her father who lives next door. She has to go down every night to lock up his house. She is very nervous about walking down there at night. This would provide an added level of comfort over the current 350 lumen light she uses.

I would love to win this one. I work in a Hospital and using this during night shift means I can get between buildings / campus the quick way instead of having to take the long public light pathway. Would save me a while bunch of time each shift.
You know that playstation game? Death stranding? I always thought it would be cool to use one of these high beam thing and design a cosplay unit that can pop out and flash this lights over the shoulders.
