I would love to see a video where you take a bunch of "normal non-light guys or gals" who don't normally EDC lights and then give them a light to use for a week and get their reaction. People have always poked fun at me for always carrying a light and then when they get one in their pocket after one week they start carrying an EDC themselves. For some until they actually experience it they don't "get it" Some of the lights you can put in their pockets would be of course the EDC23 and maybe the MT1A Pro (which i am supposed to be getting in the mail Tuesday) and other super easy to pocket lights. I know there is a giant EDC community that would watch people convert. Just a thought.

The lockout switch is really amazing, with high brightness comes the risk of pocket burnout. I got the EDC25 and the proximity sensor does not work when something dark is close, i tried it on a dark grey desk mat and it left a burned mark on it. The smaller size of EDC23 and lockout makes it perfect EDC carry.
I like the smaller configuration, important for hotter weather and clothing. The 29 might be better for winter and longer nights. Looks rich in features and quality.
Without a doubt, Nitecore have been reinventing and improving their arsenal of lights. I have been using them for more than 10yrs and they truly outlast the others that I have purchase before. recently bought the EDC29 and was amazed by its sheer power and intuitive use and about a week later the EDC23 came into the market, argh should have waited, hahaha.. After using the EDC29, I love everything on it from light power to grip and how low profile the built of the light but there is one thing which I hope Nitecore can look into. The clip and lock switch. Here is my view of it: 1. Clip, the EDC29 and EDC23 has the same built for the clip. I would think it should be the same clip. when putting it in the pocket it juts out a tad to much. I will be nice if it juts out slightly enough for the thumb grip to work effectively. Whether I am wearing a Chinos or jeans, it is obvious that I have something in my pocket plus it does get in the way when I want to grab something from my pocket as it will be the first thing that touches my hand before reaching into the pockets. 2. Lock switch, the lock switch is wonderful and its the most important feature. saw the EDC23 with the same lock switch. the switch is not really flat out and the protruding piece of the switch can get in the way when you are retrieving something from the pocket. had it a few times where the lock was unlocked cause my hand would accidentally slide the switch downwards on my EDC29 as I am reaching into the pocket. on a few occasion the light was switch on, lucky for me I set it at 100lumens. will be good if there is a double lock that would require us to press the catch to release it to unlock since we are already pressing the switch to unlock or flatten the switch. Overall I like the light and its now my EveryDay Carry light but in a holster. with my experience with EDC29, the EDC23 does seems to packed enough punches for its sheer size. Would love to own it some time but I want to wait and see the next "Black Knight" that is hidden in the background to consider. Hopefully Nitecore can improve the 2 points enhance the EDC profile of its build. Thanks MJ for all your reviews and sharing, really makes a difference and helps in getting the right light for the job! Kudos to the NighWalker Gear Crew!

I just got my EDC23 a couple of days ago and absolutely love this light. Really like the small form factor. Also the lock out switch is great along with the newer style buttons with improved knurling.

For example in daily use, self defense or how to maintain flashlight in the right way. Bay that way users can use all the light's functions and keep them always in the best condition. Hope to see those contents soon ❤
I noticed that the clip design and configuration is the same as the longer brothers. A quarter of the total length of the EDC23 will stick out of your pocket which some may find a little awkward. Hope you can redesign a new clip for the EDC23. Just a suggestion.
Yup this is the reason why I burnt a hole in my pocket with the EDC29 lol I had it in my left pocket and reached to get something out of my pocket and must have disabled the lock out switch.
Received my EDC23 3 days ago. Love it! My only gripe is I do wish the clip was shorter & a 2 way since the light is smaller and would fit well on the bill of a hat. Keep it up NC!!
@@NitecoreSG- MT1A Pro, EDC 33, 35, MH12Pro have been my main edc lights but I HAD to experience this sweet piece of technology & I absolutley love it!! I've turned about 15 friends on to the light just in the days since it released.. Would love to have a shorter clip for sure, 2 way would be a nice option as well. The longer clip makes it harder to 1 hand pocket the light because the end of the clip is so close to the end of the light face.

In my video review, I compare it to top competitors like the MT1C PRO, Wuben T4, and Spearas, and the EDC23 stands out for its compact form and exceptional brightness. I do like the suggestion to pair this with a more reliable battery-replaceable main flashlight, even a "main EDC," like the MH12 Pro. The limited runtime on High setting and the non-replaceable battery suggests that this is really more of a backup or something you just have on all the time, not just an EDC, but everywhere, all the time. More of a penlight on steroids, I suppose. If you only use this light very occasionally, the battery lifespan should still exceed 5 years.
Would love to see more keychain flashlights from nitecore…maybe with an Armo-knight style finish/coating to prevent it from getting scuffed up by keys 🔑
Hi Nightwalker Gear, I really like your videos that talk a lot about facts and real-world usage, I think this video format is the best review format. 🫡 In the future I hope you can make a Q&A or FAQ format like knifecenter usually does, you highlight some flashlights or edc equipment that you sell based on questions from viewers, wherever you get the questions (comments on the website/youtube/instagram or DM). 🤔 I think it will help us as viewers to get new information that maybe some or many of you have asked in our minds. 😁
Thank you for such a clear and understandible explanation of all pros ans cons of these lights. I would like to be eligable for your giveaway since I will never be able to afford any of these lights ❤
Maybe you can do like a camping ep or like a night hiking ep showing runtimes and how the various lumens are useful at which situtaion (real world scenarios)!! Love your content pls do more brands reviews orher then nitecore !!
The EDC23 is a big miss. The turbo mode lasts some 7 seconds and high also steps down after around 3 minutes. The clip is also a miss. A light this short should be able to go “deep carry “ inside your pocket. You should also be able to clip the light to baseball cap…but you can’t. Nitecore should have just went lower output with more reasonable runtimes in high…instead of short run super bright modes. There is no way I’d use the EDC23 as a primary light. I have the 29…that can be a primary light…but the 23…no way.
Amazing flashlight, as always! I would love to work with you guys, is the any email I can contact to talk about possible partnerships? Thank you so much!

Would love to keep seeing more of these great videos
You got it!
Another excellent video!!! 🔦
@@Roxlimn exactly that ^
Would love to see more keychain flashlights from nitecore…maybe with an Armo-knight style finish/coating to prevent it from getting scuffed up by keys 🔑
Hi Nightwalker Gear, I really like your videos that talk a lot about facts and real-world usage, I think this video format is the best review format. 🫡
In the future I hope you can make a Q&A or FAQ format like knifecenter usually does, you highlight some flashlights or edc equipment that you sell based on questions from viewers, wherever you get the questions (comments on the website/youtube/instagram or DM). 🤔
I think it will help us as viewers to get new information that maybe some or many of you have asked in our minds. 😁
I would love to see more videos testing the lights outdoors.
Thank you for such a clear and understandible explanation of all pros ans cons of these lights. I would like to be eligable for your giveaway since I will never be able to afford any of these lights ❤
i'd like to see videos on heavy duty flood beam lights. Specifically close range focused ones that sacrifices mobility for duration and brightness
The glassbreaker and IP68 would make this flashlight series literally perfect for EDC. 😊
Indeed it would, maybe in later versions 🤔
Maybe you can do like a camping ep or like a night hiking ep showing runtimes and how the various lumens are useful at which situtaion (real world scenarios)!! Love your content pls do more brands reviews orher then nitecore !!
Which other brand would you like to see most?
maybe wuben or olight
Would love a video for an EDC light for the average consumer looking at getting a light for daily or emergency uses
what do you mean? this is the one video!
Can you do uv light edc?
You need to upgrade the IP rating, I like to use my lights in the molle of the backpack, rain or shine, without worrying about water damage
Its there a way to not have strobe? Turbo only!
Can’t, buttons are not programmable
Videos where you lend different lights to people that need them for work and then collect their thoughts about each light!!
Amazing flashlight, as always!
I would love to work with you guys, is the any email I can contact to talk about possible partnerships?
Thank you so much!
@@omelhorEDC hello@nitecorelights.com here you go
Please can you show more real-world usage in urban and rural areas.
Cool flashlight! Normal user here.
thank you for the giveaway. I would like to see more outdoor comparisons and real world use. In an environment like a forest, a jungle or at sea. thanks
