- What's going on everybody Rob here with a little video on how to wire a 220 V air compressor. I purchased this 220 V air compressor from Eastwood a couple years back and I never wired it because I did not have a 220 V line to the garage. Will recently this year I ran a 220 V line to the garage. I purchased this 220 V wire for our air compressor from a big box store and at the same big-box store they had the outlet needed. If you're running a 220 V air compressor you definitely need to go with 10gauge wire. I did use 10gauge wire to go all the way from the subpanel to the outlet. This is a Eastwood 220 V air compressor. But the compressor kit I bought the wire for it I bought from a big box store and it was capable of being connected to many 220 V air compressors. The wires and clips fit perfectly on to the part of the air compressor to connect your 220 V wires. This Eastwood 220 V air compressor has two hearts and aground. That is to black wires and one green wire to run this 220 V air compressor. I am so glad I got this 220 will air compressor but it's going to take a while for me to run the manifold for the output line. If you just bought a brand-new 220 will air compressor and it did not come with the electrical wire. This is how to run the electrical wire to your 220 V air compressor.
Thanks for watching,

I know its old but Thanks for the vid.. Was just about to buy the Eastwood air compressor but after hearing the one in the video.. Think I will go with a Rotary Screw setup.
hahahah Yes its kinda loud. but within my budget. I dont use it much BUT i love knowing I have it if i need it
This video is very helpful, thank you
Love that compressor! Nice video, thanks.
I'm no electrician. But it seems to make more sense. Direct wiring to the motor first. Then to the pressure switch off the motor.
Very nice video thanks!!!
I think that the current draw on this unit is rated at 17.2 amps. The 30 amp breaker and 10 gauge wire is good, but the receptacle should be a NEMA 6-30R and the plug and cord should be NEMA 6-30P and 10 gauge wire for the hot wires.
Thank you sooo much. I bought the one at the big box store that said for 220 V air compressor. I ONLY turn the breaker on when it is in use.
@@RobHereAKATrev2323Yes, and the 30 amp receptacle will fit properly in your outlet box cover, it's bigger than the 20 amp one that you originally used.
TY sir, Just what i needed
THANK YOU!!!
I suppose if i extended you description i would find the answer. Thanks for the info.
i wonder if it is loud in that garage
when running the wire under ground did you use 12 or 10 gauge?
I got dizzy watching, the camera was so shaky.
What size breaker and wire did you use ??
30amp, 10ga...
Why blow air on your face on a fresh startup
Do ya think something might be in the line and blind you?
Minimum use safety glasses for that trick
Is that three phase
Looks like residential single phase.
What amp is in the breaker box
Where did you buy the cord?
You can buy wire at a store
What size breaker you used?
Try to steady your camera
So ur not gonna show how to create the new breaker and the gagged wires u have to get or do shit. baiting ppl not Koo homes.
U did say not a license guy ok so y not say that in the beginning n just do it. Jeez
Don't make videos inlets u know first
Stfu or make a better video ! This guy did his best , what have you done?
