@@TroyMairs Yeah it's the most secured, and the most versatile vs F38 and F22. F22 being the worst for not being NATO compatible nor the clamps have secure locking to avoid accidently pushing the button and releasing it. This would be handy I think with the Tilta lightweight shoulder rig as the plate itself is manfrotto which means if it clamps on it I can have all my gear on the shoulder rig then just put it on my fluid head tripod.
Right?! I pretty well obsess over how I rig cameras (it’s a hobby unto itself!) and a good QR system is an integral part of that! Thanks for checking out the vid Josh!
I've used the Manfrotto quick release plates for a few years. Not the greatest, but for a wedding filmmaker, it allows me to switch from tripods to gimbal to Monopod really quickly. I'd imagine it's kind of the same.
Dang. Timing. I have a bunch of Falcam stuff. It was arca swiss style. Too small. I would have bought a bunch of this but I've already done some work arounds. This would have been my go to. About time someone addressed the Manfrotto plate option. Geez.
Great demo! Does the attach/release method need to be angled, or can it be done vertically? I'm wondering if 2 of these would work as a quick-release system for a table top (placed lengthwise on opposing edges of the top), and if they are capable of doing so without adding any wobble to the table.
Great question, and a cool idea! So I was just testing this idea out, and it seems you need a slight angle to get it to attach. You wouldn't be able to do a truly straight drop-in, but it might still qork for the table if it was long enough/had a little bit of flex. Thanks for checking out the video!
Dang… just got the sachtler flowtechs and aktiv system and this is making me feel like I could’ve saved over a thousand dollars not buying the aktiv QR head 😂
Ha! I subbed just because of the 90 sitcom intro alone!
Yes! Pumped someone else liked that! I pulled from Home Improvement and Full House, lol
Thanks for subscribing!
ditto... Instant TGIF vibes
Amazing video! Confused of how little videos about the F50 out there.
It feels a little under the radar, which is too bad! Its a great system!
Thanks for commenting and for checking out the video!

Great video and review! Love your laidback, no-hype style. And real world tests are so important vs just unboxing a product.
Thanks Jake! I’m glad you enjoyed the video and I greatly appreciate the compliment!
the use case of the tripod I wouldn't have even think about. thanks for that ^^
Happy to help! :)
excellent review, sold me on this plate
Thanks Gabriel! I've enjoyed it too, thanks for checking out the vid!
I love a good quick release system! I've looked into the F50 a little bit but after seeing this I may need to pick up 1 or 2.

Awesome vid!
Glad you enjoyed it, much appreciated! :)
Good review. I just bought a long base.
Thanks! They've really impressed me with this QR system

Speed is the name of the game! Glad you have a system that works, thanks for checking out the video!
I own the Micro3 as well. I guess I need to get one for the Slider too.
Lol, you can always find another place to put a QR plate! Thanks for commenting and checking out the vid!
Wow! Beautiful video! What frame rate and color profile did you use? Shoot on Canon RF 15-35 2.8 and Canon RF 70-200 2.8, am I right?
Thank you so much! That’s quite the compliment!
This is shot in 23.98 and believe it or not I just tried out the Sigma 24 and 85 on this shoot!
Do you happen to have the dimensions of the smaller square base?
Sure! So the Base (receiver) is right at about 3"x3" while the tripod plate is right at 2"x2"

I thought that too! There is a surprising lack of Manfrotto QR options on the market. This seems to work pretty well though!

@@TroyMairs Thanks for looking into it!
New video twins!
Today must be a good day for the RUclips community 😂😂 lol
I love my Falcam gear. I might have to grab the f50, I have the smaller arca Swiss style gear.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the Falcam gear I have as well! Thanks for checking out the video!

😂😂😂 Something tells me you won’t regret the Sachtler system either! Lol
