    I grew up at Hartford and was baptized by Pastor Adams. Baba Wright did our revival EVERY year. Hartford had an annual HBCU tour and was the reason most of my church friends attended (and graduated from) HBCUs. Pastor Adams gave the famous "10 thousand tongues" at my mama's funeral and I will never forget it. Peace to the ancestor!

    Many thanks once again from Poland greetings Professor Hunter and Dr. Carr. Over here they look at me with a side- eye actually cross- eyed when (thanks to you) I suddenly blurt out: "Yes and/ but ...how do it free us?? ". The bottom line of my intuition tells me that perhaps our most crippling misjudgement is thinking of our success or growth in terms of a financial system which has been designed to defeat us and which can, at any moment, be redesigned or even defaulted upon.

      Neither are our oppressors, so what's your point? Her moves are public knowledge and she is not above critique. She is not always authentic in her movement and in this space, anyone who is not is questioned and then we are given tools to learn how to view them as tools. Exasperation is not needed here, but understanding of how beautiful and gentile oppression can be, is.

    Hunter and Carr you bring up a very good discussion about either "not knowing " or what many from the culture have, "cognitive dissonance "....There are many who" don't know " the contributions Of Dr.Claude Anderson, DR.Frances Cress Welsing,Kaba Kamene.....These great scholars who they don't see an attachment with u and your podcast...You both bring a wealth of knowledge but it's perplexing that you don't connect in a cognitive way with these tremendous people on a personal level and present them to your audience ...For those from the culture "who don't know" would be eager for you to broaden their legacy......You've had some very good guest....And some controversial....
    But what is your show about???Enlightening....You keep talking about coming together, but as of right now visually there is distance...Some space....
    between your podcast and some "real ones "Past and Present who can bridge that gap....The "don't knowers" Would really like to know more......Respectfully........If Nothing but "crickets " in the response is all that's heard.....Then it speaks volumes and becomes self explanatory.......

      Create the curriculum that can create this connection and present in Knubia. I promise you more than one person would be interested in how to guide on how to bridge that gap. Professor Hunter and Dr. Carr are already doing their job. They are educating you on how to replicate them. Does that make sense?

    • @M1...4
      @M1...4 7 месяцев назад

      @@MooreVoicesMedia There is a effort but it's isolated. They introduce some voices but the ones that were offered r game changers and would show progress and elevation of melonated peoples respect and advancement..."This looking he other way "",or assuming that the uninformed r going to discover these great individuals by chance is part of the problem as a culture..It's low level inspiration and self awareness when u view these two..They have some knowledge but picking and choosing who they" think" instead honestly, truthfully including g all the "Allstars" must be addressed....You can give any rationale u want,but they know these people matter and r very much important to the evolution of the melonated group....That they have to look within.......

    1:26 not only what do we give for the money but what do we have to GIVE UP for the money.
    Next level conversation: Is building in this capitalist social structure beneficial for Black people, and, WHAT TYPE of structures do we build? Are we trying to out-capitalist the oppressor? Will that really benefit the masses? Or, do we build communal structures where we benefit the masses.

    ❤️🦋❤️ On November 3, 2020, when Blacks go to the polls they should be driven by HELP (History, Ethics, Logic and Philosophy). We should have the "passion" to vote in “the best interests of our children.” Black children should not have to swim for themselves. For example, Menticide and discriminatory treatment of Black children in public schools persist unabated.❤️🦋❤️
