    I would love to do what you do. Enjoy the outdoors. I know it can be rough. I miss welding though. Always wanted to do the pipeline gig.

    I see you're wearing an air supplied respirator now. Is this now the rule in AB when welding outdoors, or just personal preference?

    What are those rubber mats that are on both sides of pipe on top to protect pipe paint called?

      Are they specific for welding or just made on jobs with doormats or so?

      There called spatter mats are cut to size from rubber sheets depending on size of pipe, and yes to protect the paint or coating on the pipe

    This has to be one of the most boring jobs ever. Sitting there for half your life starting at a welding spot. I got bored just watching for five minutes.

      Ron Hutchins it's actually very fun and great peolle to work with and having a big badass truck as your office. Always in a new place making 200k a year ain't bad either

      Ron Hutchins not boring at all! this takes skill to make a sound weld joint. therefore every weld is a challenge and not boring!!
