More in that you can use Inverted Power Chords in standard (Gojira chords, Crowbar chords, etc) to fake Drop A
Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't 0-1-4-5-7-8 ne Phrygian dominant? It would be harmonic minor if your root is the 5th fret (D in this case), but since your root is A, D melodic minor is not the scale you're in, rather just a mode shift from Phrygian dominant
A Phrygian dominant = mode 5 of D harmonic minor. (So yes! :) )

Rob, correct me if I'm wrong, but is isn't that phyrgian dominant if you're going through 014578 10 12 on the top string? Cause then the 6th string would be 013569 10 12, I play in Phrygian dominant and that's the first two strings patterns for my cheat sheet,

I literally live for first of October
I would just like to highlight how amazing this is. On the Macro Level it's the ability to deal with the immense stress of not only making an album but making one in a single day. The stress comes, in speaking of my personal dealings of time crunch events, from not trying to fall back to a set of chords that has already been done in a previous album attached to different lyrics. Another part is the songs not being too similar to what has been produced in the previous iterations in the series of 1st of October Albums. Then there's the question of "how much creativity do you (also Andrew of course), as a band, have"? Here the answer is written on the white boards, or there, or then ...ok, whatever day the album was made. And it's incredibly Top Tier. Even if you don't like the musical style itself ( I love it ) I would say you Do have to appreciate the amount of creativity that went into the Album. Cheers! Stay Healthy and Stay Sane!

An interesting music theory thing. Rob says he’s using harmonic minor, and he is, but it’s actually D harmonic minor or A Phrygian dominant. Considering it sounds like it’s in the key of A, I would say A Phrygian dominant. I do not intend to offend or be a prick, I just thought it was interesting.
