Andrew Huang: Am I a joke to you?
Yes indeed
1st of october should be called first of october day
Oct 1 is my bday so im okay with this haha
1st of October must do a 2nd album this 1st October...
on the 2nd of october
finna steal my idea huh?
User Name sorry? This is the same comment I did when the making an album in ten hours came out, so, no...thanks for trying to get attention tho...🤙🏻
As if it takes a fucking genius to come up with the idea of them doing this again.
Lol in from the future they did
can't wait to see some covers of this pop up if anyone is up for it!
You’ll see it on my Instagram!!!
holy hell, that sound of fresh new strings, the ringing, man
You know what would be really sick? Future Bass remake with those beautiful chords and arpeggio. *wink wink*
if i owned a guitar? absolutely. once i get a guitar and bass i will absolutely cover some first of october tunes
Hey everyone in this thread, I remade Rollerbladin'
Rob scallon with a normal pick?! 😂😂
rob said the FIRST album by first of october.... 0:10
Plot twist
October's coming up...
hype for next october
PompousKatfish yeah I think they will revive the band
hehehe yeah
Yay this is my favorite song on the first of October
I'm expecting another album this year
I love it when major chords with major 7ths and 9ths are used as base chords. A major 7th gives the major chord a little bit of a dissonance (which is further highlited with the major 9th), but not so much that it needs to be resolved, as would happen with a minor 7th. It makes it sound as though the chord was twice as big as a regular 3-note major chord.
I admire Rob’s skill in playing a Flying Vee style guitar while sitting down without a strap. I would drop the thing.
That's why you hold the inside of the V against your thigh, so it's anchored
Good thing Im not the only one addicted to that one E Major 9 chord 😂
I swear every indie/emo guitarist these days is and for good reason
"1st of October's first album..."
does this mean there will be another OwO
Rob, you can stop checking people's opinions out.
Yes we want a sequel.
10 hours 2 or I will never forgive you
@@theextremeloader1 dont encourage him lmao
Drinking game:
take a drink every time Rob Scallon makes an amazing video
I'd die if he posted frequently
He would literally have to post several times an hour, consistently, for this to be even remotely funny
Drink a beer for every strum
no you wouldn't, he always leaves at least 12 hours before each upload
Can you do “Don’t Go” next, please?
Gabe Moseley please
up
Yes!!!
Welcome to Rob Scallon Tries To Remember His Own Songs on the second channel. Please do this again this year. Love to lean these songs!
This should be an annual thing
that's the plan now :)
we had too much fun to not do this again
Andrew and I were talking about booking a tour in support of the next album (... before it's written or recorded) but that probably own't be in the cards just given our schedules. But a next album is a must.
RobScallon2 Awesome man! Can’t wait to hear it!
RobScallon2 I don’t want to have to wait until October are you sure you can’t change the name to first of April?
ooo a tour? (so that wasn't just a joke for the video....hehehe) i'd definitely come if you stopped by my area!
@@RobScallon2 Naturally, you shouldn't rehearse at all before each show, and actively try to forget the tunes before each gig!
First of October is the best band ever. Rob, you should ask those super handsome, rad dudes if you could join.
swear to god rob, First of October better not be a one-off thing.
Rob reminds me of a really nice friend I used to have in a city I used to live in. Amazing bass player and musician, knew his theory but above all else a super nice guy that would invite me and my housemate over to play pokemon stadium and other classics on his NES, always refreshing to be around someone so gently spoken and kind and I get that same vibe from Rob
That guitar sounds so nice :0
I'm hoping for a lesson on "Don't Go" if you ever get the chance Rob 🤘
You'll be happy to know that we already have that filmed :)
That will come out sometime soon once we get a bit of a break from production on main channel projects
@@RobScallon2 Awesome! Thanks for the reply, and for the excitement as well
YES!!! I've waited so long for this. Absolutely *amazing* song! Favorite on the album and now I can play it! Thanks a million Rob for writing this masterpiece!
Not often that I hear a guitar with a Floyd sound that nice. Nice job, Chapman
Im in love with this guitar
The simplicity, textures, and rawness of this album remind me of Box Car Racer.
Also, Rob is always great at making me realize a guitar's simplicity. At least, relative to when I first picked one up and had no idea how the frets worked.
He shows that it is okay to reuse chords and ideas, because songs can still sound completely different.
What in a world man the solo is beautiful
I love this song!
Can you do "spoilers from Playdead's Inside" next?
Imagine if they came back this year with album title "24 hours". If they can make such beautiful songs in just 10 hours, I wonder what if they extend it to a whole day.
MAKE A THIRD CHANNEL JUST FOR SKATING VIDEOS
YEEEESSS
I'd really love to see how to play Don't Go!
Stefano onafetS Bonetti yeah same
Awesome! That's my favorite track on the album as well! I'm totally stealing those chords
Contagious laugh, genuinely amazing person. That's how you know it's Rob Scallon
Cool Flying V
Please, make an "Always" lesson.
I’m so happy this is my favorite song in the track and I actually listen to this song normally 😂
Ugh I love those major 9 chords :^)
I like these tutorials from 10 hours. You should also do "Things to do", another one of my favorites.
That’s a good looking Chapman... bet it’d sound great with Fishman Fluence set 😉 then you could give us a little review too.
My birthday is on the first of October and that album is my favorite thing on the planet 😍 for my birthday this year, if you do it again, you should make it on Vinyl, or at least let me pay you to make a copy, for my birthday :)
I call those chords "the rob scallon sound" :)
Dadadadada WOO! Dadadadada WOO WOO! xD The Woo song was my favourite.
Robb what about a tutorial for always?, I love that song so MUCH, love you too
Hi everyone! I hope you all have a blessed dayl😊
Ha I love you rob
FINALLLLLKKKYYYYY
Now that’s a nice guitar
chapman mlv pro
I love how this song used to be about having a huge amount of pants in his closet
Desperately need an instrumental of this
Can we get a tutorial of always its my favorite song on the album.
Agree
Oh man, the "how's it gonna be" lick. I thought I was the only one who accidentally used it in everything.
You guys could also make a new album on October 2nd and call it "Second of October" by First of October
How to play don’t go please!
Please do another album!
Tried to learn this so long ago, WHY DIDN'T YOU MAKE THIS EARLIER
You and Andrew should make another album on the 1st of October this year.
First of October’s first album?!?! Does that mean there’s more to come?!?! 😂
You should do Always!!
Maybe, (and this is a big maybe) could you teach us how to play a super old song of yours called this week. I can’t find it anywhere but your album “the ride home”
You should do a tone video!
Please do always 😩
Get more blading on this channel. Full rollerblade edit
ROOLLEEER BLAADIIIN ALL MY LIFE
I did not come for blading. I came for that duck!
Can we get a full instrumental-only version of the album?
Oh! What about a 1st of October live show?
you guys gotta do it again this oct 1st
“how to play things to do” when?
Cool, Make a tutorial of always jajaja
I know it’s a bit late, but can you do a tutorial on ‘Always’ if you can remember it
Can we get a vid on how to play spoilers for playdead’s inside
Can you do one of these for "Dont Go"?
The guitar parts sound like the song could be on Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
I keep hearing Third Eye Blind - How's It Going To Be when he plays the solo
I've got these four chords that I know...
can u make how to play spoilers for playdead inside
Plz do a tutorial on "Dont Go"
Does this mean that a new album from First of October is destined?
Just because I've got 28 pairs of pants doesn't mean we can't be friends
Hey Rob,is it ok if i like people’s (not just yours) songs modified better when i play them? I sometimes get criticised for not playing them ‘correctly’ :/
Don't worry about non-constructive criticism, if it's how you want to play it, then that's how you should play it
Can you do a lesson on Ben Wyatt please????
please do "always"
Can we get one for Always?
Anyone know the bpm for this song?
Honestly I would be down for some bladin'
Can we get two friends tutorial?
Dude, how you clean your guitar?
Please try (emphasis on the try) to make another album in half the time you did with the first one
How to play always?
That buzz is normal ?
What's the name of that first chord?
Lol my favorite chords are f# and b flat major
Make a whole album in 1 day in open Am7 tuning on a 7 string ( E C G E A E A )
What effect did you use?
Don't go should be next
Kinda sounds like progressive metal town just with lyrics and less 0's
The first of October sounds oddly emo
I came here for blading.
What is the name of his chord?
Emaj9 (implies the major 7th)
E - G# - D# - F#
@@arnonyme6 thanks :)
