That car is a real gem!!! What a find! There were about 4,300 first generation AMG SLK's made by Mercedes and a little more than 2K were imported to the US. Plus, it is in the White paint color. Silver was the overwhelming #1 color, Black #2, White #3. Silver and Black made up more than 60% of the model color that rolled off the line. To find a super low mileage White 32 SLK in that condition is incredibly rare!! (also, quite a few of the US models that are left, have been in serious accidents. Many on the used market have a bent frame) That is a low key SUPER RARE car.
100% agree! These are undervalued, and VERY rare in this condition, it's nice to see the market coming back on them.
I've got a 2002 SLK 32 amg that I've had for about a year now it had 27K miles when I bought it, the car was in near perfect condition, it's the second AMG that I've owned, the first was rear ended, that was a sad day for me. So far I have been accident free and yes they were both silver. What a fun car to drive and have. The registration cost more than the property taxes!

Very nice cars there was only 28 SLK32 AMG'S imported to Australia and l am one of the lucky ones that owns one.
Nice. Was it one of the 28 Australian delivered as a brand new car or an import, e.g. delivered to somewhere like the UK or Hong Kong new and then brought to Australia later in it's life? I was looking for one at one stage and when I inquired as such regarding one that was for sale it was originally delivered to South Africa as a brand new car and then imported to Australia later. I just couldn't get one of the 28 delivered to Australia as brand new cars and opted for a pristine MGB instead.
@@marknorris1381 My car is a Australian delivered its not a import there is one for sale on Carsales that's is imported from South Africa.

13:11 They ceased production of the SLK/SLC in 2020. They even sold a _'Final Edition'_ package, as Mercedes often does at the end of the line.
Good video. Are the engines reliable in these specific models? Interested to hear if the addition of the supercharger has any impact on reliability
I have the same year and have had it since 2008. It has been reliable, only issue with the supercharger was right when I got it and some wiring associated with it needed to be changed as it was causing the SC to cut in and out, once I got it changed 12 years ago I have had no issues with it since. Not many issues overall, but it you keep up on the maintenance it can be expensive. If you daily drive it, expect to pay $1k to $1.5k a year for all maintenance / repairs except tires. Tires also only last about 10k to 15k miles and cannot be rotated. I have about 95k miles on mine and have put about 60k on it since i bought it 14 years ago. The biggest issue frankly is the interior paint, it is extremely fragile and will chip / flake off on you, tihs is a big issue with SLKs. As FYI, the convertible top I have never had 1 issue with, I even got rear ended for about $10k in damage and still never had an issue with the top. I think people see that complicated top and think it will break, but I never had an issue.
@@verycoolskeleton95 Thanks for all the detail there. That is very useful to know. I have recently bought a 2004 SLK320 non supercharged. I may feel the need to upgrade to the supercharged version at some point lol. Useful to know about the roof. Have the heated seats been reliable? I read somewhere the heating elements can be a bit more temperamental in the AMG car.
@@ericwright8498 My driver side heater seat has not worked from day 1, I heard it was expensive to fix and very fragile as well so I never bothered to get it fixed. My passenger side ones works fine and has never had an issue.
