It's a good thing too our salvation is not based on turning away from sin (try as we may), or Heaven would be inhabited by only our Lord Jesus Christ. TY for this important message. I hope the Christian "comment cops" on YT are paying attention!

When I received the Savior I had in my heart a distinct desire to never ever wanting to sin again. The Lord waited while I weighed up my lifestyle, the cosiness; which I enjoyed.
The spirit of God impressed on me that if I left my coming to the Savior unto the morning, the door of my heart would be closed and I’d be lost forever. I would say, a voice communicated this.
I saw the Savior was right there wanting to give me the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. A dread of missing out, then my mind was made up, I remember thinking I never ever want to sin anymore and then with gladness I received the Savior and He applied to me, ‘…the things that accompanied Salvation.’
People get confused with our ongoing fight with sin. Listen, today I might be filled with the Spirit of God and do great things for him and tomorrow I may be down defeated by sin.
Galatians chapter 5 verse 16 says “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” We have what Paul spoke about in Romans chapter 7 the problem of doing the things that we would not.
“For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.” Romans 7 v 15
And Galatians 5 v 17 says, “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”
Let’s see the remedy that the Apostle Paul found Romans 7 verse 24 and 25 “Oh wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.” “… I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2 verse 20
It is Biblical to repent of Sins, and if you don’t see the Savior as your Lord, then, something may be wrong with your testimony.
Romans tells us in chapter 8 and verse 14 how the sons of God should walk. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

Excellent refutation of Lordship 'Salvation'. If it were true, the doors of Heaven would be shut and no-one saved ever. No Lordshipper has lived up to the requirements they impose and a lot of reality denial and self-delusion is brought to bear if they think they have. I'm glad eternal salvation is all of Grace, all of Christ and all received by faith alone. That is good news indeed unlike the Lordship mutation which is 'another gospel'.

Sad so many believe this lie. Taking verses from Israel's program makes their statements seem valid. Unfortunately most people(believers) do not rightly divide the word to see the distinctions in the 12's gospel from Paul's gospel. JM will have much to account for, deceiving trusting Christians, and making them two-fold the child of Hell. We must pray. But people are stuck in their own works. I put it this way:
People overestimate their works and underestimate God's grace. Thanks, Dave. Awesome as usual.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
      Philippians 2:12-13 KJV
Only those works which are approved by the Spirit of God, which of course this approval is in accordance to the 2-fold will of God for all Believers under the revelation of the mystery, will be approved at the Judgement Seat.
Without proper knowledge (knowing a thing), understanding (comprehending the thing now known), and wisdom (the application of the thing understood), it is simply not possible to perform works approved.
The Judgement Seat of Christ pertains to the program of the mystery, the purpose and function of the Body of Christ while in these mortal bodies. The will of God is both the Graceful conversion of the lost, and the consequential teaching of the revelation of the mystery. If works performed by Saints fall outside this context and outside this knowledge and understanding, it cannot be approved at the Judgement Seat and will be burned up (wood, hay, and stubble). Yet the Saint will be saved, having suffered loss.

When God repented it was a repentance from one thing to another. And so is our repentance. The difference was God was not repenting from an evil choice or act, but we are. Lordship salvation is according to the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Those in the Body of Christ ARE NOT saved according to the Gospel of the Kingdom. Those in the BOC are saved according to the Gospel of Grace.
Lordship salvationists are preaching the wrong Gospel because they do not rightly divide the Word of God.

    • @bloodboughtbigphilr8266
      @bloodboughtbigphilr8266 2 года назад +1

I wouldn't even grant them that. A distinction has to be made between the Gospel of the Kingdom primarily to and for Israel and the Gospel of the Grace of God for the Body of Christ in this present dispensation. However, in the Gospel of the Kingdom, salvation is still by faith alone in Christ alone as John's Gospel makes crystal clear. Lordshippers add to this. Repentance isn't mentioned once and it isn't a turning from sin or surrender of life as the Lordshipers teach. It is synonymous with believing and if one repents by changing their mind about the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, they then believe. Likewise if they believe, they have repented.
      Much blessing.

      @@bloodboughtbigphilr8266 I agree. Here’s the definition of “repent” in Webster’s 1828.
RE'PENT, adjective [Latin repo, to creep.] Creeping; as a repent root.
REPENT', verb intransitive [Latin re and paeniteo, from paena, pain. Gr. See Pain.]
      1. To feel pain, sorrow or regret for something done or spoken; as, to repent that we have lost much time in idleness or sensual pleasure; to repent that we have injured or wounded the feelings of a friend. A person repents only of what he himself has done or said.
      2. To express sorrow for something past.
Enobarbus did before thy face repent
      3. To change the mind in consequence of the inconvenience or injury done by past conduct.
Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return. Exodus 13:17.
      4. Applied to the Supreme Being, to change the course of providential dealings. Genesis 6:7. Psalms 106:45.
      5. In theology, to sorrow or be pained for sin, as a violation of God's holy law, a dishonor to his character and government, and the foulest ingratitude to a Being of infinite benevolence.
Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:3. Acts 3:19.
      REPENT', verb transitive
      1. To remember with sorrow; as, to repent rash words; to repent an injury done to a neighbor; to repent follies and vices. [See Repentance.]
      2. With the reciprocal pronoun.
No man repented him of his wickedness. Jeremiah 8:6.

    James 2:18-26
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder.
20You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless. 21Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” e and he was called God’s friend. 24You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
25In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Jesus Christ is Lord whether or not you acknowledge that fact. It is not required for a person to be saved today to acknowledge that Jesus is Lord.
It is required that a person believes in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross to be saved.
We, today, are saved by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. His blood washed away all our sins. Our belief in what He did on the cross saved us....not by what we do. You acknowledging Jesus as Lord is what YOU DO. What you do can't save you.

Let's look at the scriptures, shall we? That seems to be your demand.
Example 1: And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
      Genesis 6:6-7 KJV
Example 2: Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying, It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.
      1 Samuel 15:10-11 KJV
Example 3: So the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men. And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
      1 Chronicles 21:14-15 KJV
Example 4: Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity. Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry: And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
      Psalms 106:43-45 KJV
Example 5: Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.
      Jeremiah 26:19 KJV
Example 6: Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part. Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small. The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord GOD.
      Amos 7:4-6 KJV
Example 7: Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small. The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord GOD.
      Amos 7:5-6 KJV
Example 8: Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
      Jonah 3:9-10 KJV
Example 9: Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
      Joel 2:12-13 KJV
There are other examples in which it is clearly stated that God repented not of something.
Question: In which of the above examples is God "turning from sin"?
Also consider the attributes of God:
Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: *there is none else.*
      Deuteronomy 4:39 KJV
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, *whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place,* with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
      Isaiah 57:15 KJV
For *I am the LORD, I change not;* therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
      Malachi 3:6 KJV
Howbeit *the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands;* as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
      Acts 7:48-49 KJV
Which in his times he shall shew, who is *the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;* Who only hath immortality, *dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto;* whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
      1 Timothy 6:15-16 KJV
      In hope of eternal life, *which God, that cannot lie,* promised before the world began;
      Titus 1:2 KJV
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for *God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:* But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
      James 1:13-14 KJV
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that *God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.*
      1 John 1:5 KJV

    Galatians 5:24
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Yup it’s a work of God which happened at the cross. It’s been crucified and I no longer live. Maybe align yourself with the Word of God.
