Thanks for this insightful teaching. I really enjoy the way your chaining the verses and bringing clarity to what should be our main focus. I especially respect your continual focus on the Judgement Seat of Christ and to prepare ourselves for that appointment. I’ve been involved in the Grace movement for 20 years and I feel that even in some grace “circles” the JSoC is not emphasized enough.
I agree that this doctrine needs to be emphasized. It is where we will either be approved or ashamed so it matters greatly.

Thank you for helping to "divide the signs" so to speak. I have always been confused how the stoning of Stephen started the grace period, and which end times signs fit where and with whom!

What is the consequence of departing from the faith?
If saved people depart, and they cannot lose their salvation, then what is the consequence? They obviously depart into confusion. Will this affect rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ?

Yes, the consequence of departing the faith would be loss of reward (as well as other spiritual consequences during this life).
I enjoyed the teaching, thank you! Do you think that the current "split" within the RD-community can be part of the departure from the faith that the Apostle Paul speaks about in 1 Timothy 4? I'm referring to the ongoing "movement" initiated by Rodney B., who has drawn away plenty of disciples after him.
Heresies are going to exist, and they serve a purpose.

@@ColumbusBibleChurch Good point and scripture! It's my view that the mid-Acts position (RD) is gaining ground and becoming more and more "popular" these days. And this is in spite of the fact that we constantly hear that the world at large is becoming less and less "Christian". But I'm afraid that the "Christianity" that is supposedly being rejected consists of mostly false doctrine anyways. I'd love to hear your thought on the status of RD, and if I'm right when I say that it's gaining some ground (I'm not saying there's a full blown "revival" taking place).
I don't know whether RD is gaining ground or not. I would like to think so, but it seems to me there is a lot of confusion and false teaching.
Although we wrestle not against flesh and blood we do wrestle with them as the devil works through them as the children of disobedience Ephesians 2:2-3.
Know your enemy or lose your war!
Enjoy and mull over your teachings. Agree with the full intent of the teaching yet have a issue on the topic description. Do we look for the signs of the times? I would say yes. The issue needs to be widened to ALL awareness.
It revolves around the words "look" and "watch". They would seem EQUAL in meaning. Basically to be aware...not only about the false doctrines, falling away, itching ears etc.
So I would say also look for the signs. AWARENESS in and for Christ has nothing to do with the dispensations as he is the Alpha and the Omega. Beginning to the end. Here is why (Dispensation of Grace only below.) I would state that:
ALL means ALL.
2Ti_4:5 But watch thou in ALL things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Rev_3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not WATCH, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Revelation was given for things to shortly come to pass. If we are not looking/watching how can we see an appearing, powers, etc. as they are SIGNS. This is way too long...could add more but....
Rev 12:1 and 12:3 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven;
Can't see if you are not watching/looking. A lot of watching listed in the dispensation of Grace.

The Book of Revelation is not to you
@@miketemple5817 MT if dispensationalist? I am a dispensationalist When does your dispensation start? Upper room? Cross? Small flock? Pentecost? Acts? Death of Stephen? When Paul is called on the road to Damascus? It doesn't matter any of those times as revelation is specifically written after all of those. Here is the scripture proving it is to all the churches and about after 90A.D. (My thoughts are Paul first called. But? )
Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must.....
Rev 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, ....
This is not to the Jews but to Christs Servants. Christian churches.
AND from God and JC...seems it is from 90AD to the SERVANTS AND churches and forward as it tells the end times.
????? Thoughts????
If you think it is just to the 7 churches...those servants are gone long before Revelation was put into the Bible. Why put in the Bible the Rev if it didn't apply but to them...unless it applies to us.
