    The more I know of God, the more I realize that I'm nothing. I'm humbled that God sees his Son in us.
    Because I'm so thankful for what God has done in my life, I will celebrate the Lord's Supper oft, Brother Reid
    I thank God that he's given you this knowledge to impart to us.

    It's important for us to know who Paul was addressing, without these knowledge we wont be able to answer these question correctly. Paul was addressing believers who first heard the kingdom gospel, they were partaking of the Lord's supper as they were instructed, but they were not doing it correctly. How then do you explain Romans 9-11? Was Paul addressing members of the body of Christ or gentiles who had converted to Judaism( proselytes) ? It's very clear that Paul was addressing proselytes, so it's important for us to know who Paul is addressing.

      Amen. The epistles to the Corinthians were written to a church that were claiming to be of Peter, Paul, Apollos and Christ. Paul was correcting them and unifying them.
      He said when they came together it was not to eat the Lord's supper but he allowed them the freedom to observe it. It was done away with along with tongues and miracles.
      When that which is perfect was come, the completed word of God it was no longer needed.

      I'm sure Paul in the first part of Chapter 10 made reference to Israel. But I believe his was talking to all Corinthians saints , (which was a part of the Body of Christ.) If he made a differentiation between Jews and gentiles I missed it. And if he said the Supper was to cease I missed that too. I don't see the correlation between Romans 9:11. I don't know of anywhere that Paul wasn't speaking to the BOC , though he had specific references to Jews at times.

    The Lord's supper is the same as Passover ordinance, a Jewish ordinance, in Corinth, Paul was addressing people who were already partaking of the Lord's supper. There is no evidence that Paul was the one who taught them of the Lord's supper, Paul was correcting the mistakes they were making. The Corinth church had people who were taught by different apostles, some were taught by cephas, others Apollos and others Paul, that's why there was division among them, so it's a possibility that those who were taught by peter are the ones who were partaking of the Lord's supper. There is evidence in scripture that Paul also wrote to the little flock, Peter also confirms these when he writes that there are some things that Paul wrote to the little flock that are difficult to understand, so the Lord's supper is not for today.

    If one participates in the Lord’s Supper in a church that is not a mid acts pre millennial dispensational teaching church … would that be considered taking it in an unworthy manner ??

    I respectfully disagree. In
    1 Cor.11:24-32, Jesus is telling Paul what happened on the night He was betrayed only. He did not give this instructions to the body of Christ, nor did Paul. Furthermore, on the day of this event Christ was talking directly to the 12 disciples and they were under the dispensation of the kingdom. The subject at the table was... one of you will betray me and He's telling them to do this in remembrance of Me and not to take of it in vain as did Judas the traitor. Notice, He didn't say in remembrance of His death, burial, and resurrection. Under grace our sins was dealt with on the cross and there is no CONDEMNATION in them which are in Christ, Romans 8:1. Keep in mind that the mystery of grace was sometimes after this event. Nevertheless, I do think that both water baptism and communion will be reinstated during the tribulation because it fall under the law as well as blood of Lamb sacrifices. What the body Christ should remember about Christ is His crosswork the Gospel of Grace, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV.

    • @rocktalley9616
      @rocktalley9616 3 года назад

      Importantly, Mark 14:16 explains that Christ met with the disciples via 1 Corinthians 11, in preparation for the Passover. The body of Christ don't observe Passover.

    Can a member of the BOC loose their salvation? Can a member of the BOC bring damnation to them self?
    It sounds like Paul is not addressing the BOC, he is either speaking to the unsaved, the Little Flock or the 12 Disciples.
    1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh 👉 damnation 👈 to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

    • @ColumbusBibleChurch
      @ColumbusBibleChurch  3 года назад +2

      No one in the body of Christ can lose their salvation (Eph 1:13-14, 1Cor 3:15). Paul is clearly addressing the body of Christ in 1Corinthians. A believer cannot experience the damnation of hell but can experience the condemnation of their service at the judgment seat of Christ.

    1 Corinthians 11:20 When ye come together therefore into one place, this is NOT to eat the Lord's supper.
    It does actually say that. Paul was correcting those Jewish little flock believers who believed the gospel of grace and who were still following traditions. That's what the bulk of the Corinthian epistles were about. But the practices Paul allowed the Jewish converts would soon be done away with as they died out. Paul was doing the same as Priscilla and Aquila.
    Acts 18:26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
    The body of Christ are not to be concerned about physical religious practices.
    Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
    You and Bryan can observe the Lord's Supper all you want but it's in vain. And misleading to new grace believers.
    You don't know everything. But that's OK. None of us do.

      "But the practices Paul allowed the Jewish converts would soon be done away with as they died out." I understand most of what you say .Could you elaborate with a biblical reference on where this idea specifically is stated. I'm at loss, I can't find it and I truly want to understand..
      I've often wondered if doctrines like these were allowed to be hard or to really be concrete, so that It might show us who had the spirit of love and who doesn't. It's just a thought.
      I live in New Mexico and would dearly love to be in any of your local assemblies. Supper observers or not. Unfortunately I'm so far away.
      I personally make it a point in my own daily devotional to be remind myself of my Lord's death , burial, and resurrection...and rejoice in the truths of what that has accomplished in my life. Hallelujah what a Saviour.
