    Mark I just wanted to say well down on all the videos you make . I am a bit like you I have always had fish . Since I was a little kid and I am now 55 . Thank you for the videos mark . You can see your like me I get up each day talk to my fish . I used to do marine tanks a corals and stuff I do think alot of people get that you have to feed the corals . . . But these days just keeping tropical and a few pearl scale goldfish who always greet me each day . They are more really pets than just fish they always have been . The world needs more good people like you mark I'll say that . Keep up the good work . I find myself at night just watching your videos on my big TV . Very good to watch thank you bud . Hope all the fishes are doing ok . Kind regards Ollie .... God I think back over the years and I have lost a few girlfriends to fish keeping but hey mark I don't think they really get it . I think some fish are more like pets . And I have had most fish . But I am going to have a go at breeding some cardinal tetras for my main tank . And I think my filament barbs are going to breed as I watch them alot . Got to love fish keeping mark . But it's like you say go to the shops and find the fish as I did find a nice paired up corys as you could see they where already paired up . And feed them up and they had a few babys .so happy days so I think I have caught the bug again and may try and breed a few different fish . It's good to care for the little creatures of this planet . Great hobby . Happy days . I used to love my marine fish Coby going around the tank collecting stuff to take into his house . Some fish are more than just fish . 😊

    Great to see your breeding videos again. You've given by far the best explanation of infusoria culturing and use and what to expect to see that I've found. Take care good sir.

    I think I have quite a few, but I'm not 100% sure if thats what they are yet, they look like little tiny balls, some might have a tail on them. I just stripped their tank down the other day as I've decided to downsize a bit, and I thought just through curiosity maybe I'll wait a few days before I completely drain that tank as I might get lucky with some fry, so it has only sunstrate left in, and it's about half full. I know they definitely aren't daphnia or cyclops although I do have both in the tank which could pose a problem for the fry, if indeed that's what they are... I really hope so, as I do want to add to that shoal.

    Hi Mark, I want to ask you if it´s possible to breed ember tetras similar as pearl danios. I breed my pearl danios, emerald dwarf rasboras and least rasboras in small boxes with moss which I put in their tank. Everyday check if they breed and yes, they breed very well. But I have around 20 ember tetras and I want to know if it´s possible to breed them same way. My system is quite similar as yours in video how to breed pearl danios which you made maybe two years ago. Is it possible to breed them like this? Thank you for your answer. :D

    Nice one, Mark. I'll try to get mine to spawn now. Just following this along. So cool. I'll let ya know how I get on. Oh, btw, that's an impressive haul of daphnia, especially for this time of year, you must be having some decent weather down there. Lucky you! Cheers fella.

    Hi Mark - if you see this post - could you give me some info on something I saw during a water change and cleaning of one of my tanks??? It was white and like a hair - about 1 inch long - wriggling as it swam!!!!! Made a point of catching it in a net and disposing of it - but of course I do not know if there are any more hiding somewhere!!!!!! Have you any idea what it was and is it a problem for my tank????? Thanks

    • @MARKSAQUATICS
      @MARKSAQUATICS  2 года назад

      Could be detritus worms.

    Hi Mark - hope the fry grow and do well!! I have 5 Honey Gourami and 2 of the males are building bubble nests!!! being very protective of them - but nothing else was happening - no activity with any females!!! Then I spotted one male wrapping himself around what I guess was a female a couple of time up near the nest - but no sign of any eggs in the bubbles........so not sure what is going on!!! I cant breed I don't think as I do not have any spare tanks to remove the eggs into or the fry - so I guess the poor little things will just be food for the others - shame!!!!!!!!

    Mark, found this while trying to find the recipe for using Timothy hay for making infusoria . Have plenty of this since I use it for tortoise bedding. Anyway this guy uses a water bottle to dispense the infusoria. see: ruclips.net/video/FQTUxiknDyM/видео.html For anybody reading there a lot of different methods for raising infusoria .

    Hi Mark. Great to see the videos again. Question on the Daphina. I've had 2 buckets full of water (been there for 4 months), with rotting leaves and some algae but never ever seen Daphina. I'm in London. Any reason why? Also been to wetlands and naturally never found any there. Any advice? Trying to condition my fish to spot females in the bench tank. Also will you show how to breed glowlight danios? Keep up the good work!

      @@MARKSAQUATICS Hi Mark. Thanks for the reply. Looks like I may have to. I'll check the local ponds again in a months time. Got 2 very fat egg filled Glowlight Tetras in the tetra tank but not ready to try them yet. Starting on the simpler long finned Zebra Danios first ( following your video lol). Any chance you'll be doing a Glowlight danios one too at some stage? (My Glowlight Danios are spawning daily but the eggs hoovered up by all the other tank mates). 😭

      If they're not in Mark's list of fish he's already bred (see below) I'm sure he will show you sometime in the near future. He's a very obliging and generous chap.
      I don't know if I've been whoosed here. :-)
