I absolutely love this videos. These are so complete, it's not a "put the fish together, feed them well, feed the fry infusoria", it's a step by step ans all is shown. Unique content.
Oh, I can't wait for part 2. Actually I staying home right now because of operation and have a lot of time to spend. I have a Fluval edge 57 with 10 mature ember tetras that I'd love to try breading. Thank you Marc!
Perfect timng for me, Mark. I just bought a wee group of embers with a view to fattenng them up and trying to get a spawn. I'll just follow you along. Awesome. Thanks!
So glad to see you back! Love your content! Your breeding projects from the perspective of the average hobbyist are golden! I've watched them all, many multiple times. Your a great teacher with a likable presence. Would love to see you doing Q&A and growing a community. There's always going to be trolls, but that's what mods are for. You're a great asset to the hobby....shake that nonsense off....put it in the ignore file where it belongs. Regardless, keep doing you! Lots of love from the other side of the pond. ☺️❤️☺️
Hey Mark recently found your channel and I'm loving your content and your delivery and explanation of what you are doing. I am getting into breeding Corys at the moment and watching your Cory Breeding videos has really helped me nit pick and progress with my methods and get better. Thank you mate your experience is so valuable. Big love from Yorkshire!
Aww Mark…I instantly grinned happily upon seeing the squirrel… how wonderful you have all this awesome nature over there, it really made me smile. I remember when I was dating my English bf yonks ago we went to Aylesbury, n for a holiday over the UK, Scotland, France, Spain , Italy and Sweden I met his parents n family and his mum was ever so excited to show me a wee lil Hedgehog in her garden one morning. So adorable
I wonder if Mark had tried your yeast method for infusoria (guessing he has tried most things by now) or the Java moss one? Trying yiur yeast method myself at the moment along side Mark's method 🤞
This is literally the next species going into my tetra breeding tank. My females are about to pop. I personally stay away from broccoli or other cruciferous vegetables for infusoria, as they STINK. I like zuchini and banana peels. It's always going to smell bad, but some things are decidedly worse. Another great vid amigo.
Likewise. I always use banana peel, it works exactly the same but rather than having the house smell like boiled cabbage it just produces a feint sweet smell, far less unpleasant.
Great to have a new breeding video on the way Mark. I've recently tried breeding and copied your set up with great success compared to anything I tried before. I still struggle to get that infusoria culture set up reliably though!!
I run a 90 gallon planted tank with fish that are around 1 inch (or 3cm) or below, with the exception of my bigger Cardinal Tetras. Got to be honest when I was like “why would anyone breed Embers”. I only say this because out of all my nano fish, the embers are the most violent little C’s in my opinion. Mine seem to fight with anyone especially the lamp eyes killies. Love all your vids keep up the good tanking.
When Im getting a big tank I turn the small tank I have now into a breeding tank and try it out myself ^^ Maybe with something easy, like blackskirt tetras or so.
when i did my infusoria culture i put it out side to keep the other half oin the good books. i used thawed out frozen vegies as the food tank water and some plant but the culture has gone green can i still use it or just throw it and just go back to baby brine ?
Hooray. We're back in business- the fascinating teachings of a master. Welcome back Mark.
ive been looking for ember tetra breeding videos for the last 6 months, tysm

Man. I was starting to look into breeding these guys! Perfect!

Thank you a lot for this! I just wonder, is there a good male/female ratio to put in a breeding tank, and about how many?
Cheers mate :}
Did you do a part 2 to the chilli rasboras?
I love watching your videos. Can you show us how to breed Neon green Rasboras? (Microdevario Kubotai) I'm not having much luck.
Good to see your back Mark! How about breeding small octopus?
I think I'll leave them do that in the wild. But that's for asking.
@@MARKSAQUATICS 👌
@@MARKSAQUATICS Have you thought about breeding your clown fish?
@Mr Aquatic NEWS I've done clownfish breeding. Check out my playlists.
@@MARKSAQUATICS Cool! Will check it out

Leaf litter in the tank will grow infusoria too.
You said you would update us on the otocinclus project and I've checked daily since ?!
It's coming soon
Previously on Infusoria 101 you used a brussel sprout that was parboiled, this time you are using broccoli but it looks raw?
The brocoli is par boiled.
Hey mark can you tell me what to do with baby java fern?
Tie them to pieces of wood .😀👍
Hey Mark, what happened to the chili rasbora breeding? Did you not get any fry?
There is a part two. I think I uploaded it as part of another video.
