Hi guys and thanks for stopping by! My name is Melissa and I have been a police officer for just about 15 years now! I am currently a lieutenant in a large metropolitan police department and I created this video to show you my new duty vest and belt setup. I have loved this new duty vest and the way my agency has set it up, keeping heavier equipment off of our backs and belts!
**These are just my personal thoughts and opinions. They may not be the same as yours! And that's ok!** I hope you find some value and/or entertainment in this video.
Thank you so much for your love and support! I can’t wait to see you in my next video!

Speaking of your medical kit, I've been a cop for 16 years and I'm also an EMT. I've never had to use a tourniquet on duty but I've had to pack a wound and I've also had to use many pressure dressings over the years. Mostly responding to stabbings and things of that nature. So don't ever let your fellow officers make fun of you because when you need it, you got it right there.

My back used to hurt so much from carrying all my duty belts. My dad had to retire early because his back hurt so much. At the academy, instructors don’t talk about how much pain you can get from sitting in a car with a duty belt on for 10 to 16 hours. I wear a duty vest. But I don’t carry a lot of tactical gear on it. I just keep the basics. Body cam. Ammo. OC. Baton. A good light. And of course narcan and a med kit. I really like your video.

Hello Lt. SGT. Doug here. That is a very nice taticial vest. Our dept. Uses the Blackhawk Viper vest. My trama kit is on my vest, with my taser and 2 511 soft M-4 CARBINE mag pouches. I put my extra cuff in there. My Gerber tool and flashlight. My belt is the same Safariland Sam Brown belt with the Nickle buckle. I have my key holder on it, my Oc Spray, 6360 tripple retention holster, cuff pouch, and glove pouch. The left side is my mag pouch, ASP in the scabbard, and radio pouch. I have my plates in my vest as well. Yours looks great! Mine is black. Great video. Keep safe, fellow Lt. In Blue! watch your 6!

Nice! Load bearing vests are a God-sent! I have a blue and black vest for different assignments. Huge difference in life back pain. Be safe out there!!

  • @yomamasbeefcurtains

So glad to know I’m not the only one that sees the benefit of keeping the blowout kit in that spot! So much more comfortable than in the small of the back!

  • @gkuproductions

As a female looking to join the local sheriff, I love your videos :)

  • @elviraarriaga1424

Amazing Police Officer and Video Content.

  • @HooliganGarage

hi cop mom if you are able to lower the tazer holster which i see theres a lttle room to move it down youll be able to draw faster when needed love this videos looking at going to SPD Academy

  • @tylerfreal6472

ur med kit placment is a smart idea its minimal but because its so small looks easy to wear all day

  • @korykaelin25

Great videos! It's so refreshing to see a police officer just go through everyday life like anyone else. As someone who aspires to become an officer, how should I deal with family who don't support this decision. My parents support the police entirely, but they don't want me to join as they know the physical risks of the job as well as the scrutiny that the police face today. Follow up question; would you be in support of your children wanting to follow in your footsteps and join the force. Thank you for everything.

  • @Cameroon110

Good video as always I got your six💙💙💙💙

  • @loganshaver5955

You can keep the taser on the Belt and the things that I would put on the Vest are Handcuffs,Pepper Spray,Magazines,Radio,Asp, and Flashlight

  • @snake7686

Props for having a med kit on your belt👍 i carry one too on my person for duty use

  • @adamti9701

Would you be open to doing an arresting techniques video?

  • @chriswessels4021

I’ll bet that makes a big difference getting so much weight off of the utility belt!

  • @SoyLoco-kt1tk

The ifak should be on your vest

  • @BigTInTheMorning

Does it have plates in it to make it bulletproof

  • @justinfrmda215

In speaking of your tourniquet I’d rather have it on me and don’t need than don’t have it on me and I need it

  • @user-lm8xo7yh7u

Hi, what brand is that? We went to carriers in 2018, then two years later upgraded to safariland Oregon city 2.0

  • @KingzRicky

What was used to mount the bodycam?
