Man, thank you for the note on anterior pelvic tilt. My wife has scoliosis and rods on her back and finding carry options for her has been a pain. For my I go appendix with anterior pelvic tilt because I have two messed up shoulders so other positions don't work. So for my a g19 is only a hoodie gun. Year round I gotta go LCR or Keltac 3at. Tried a g3c and a p365 and they're still too big for my appendix carry with the tilt. I feel recognized and understood by your comment haha
EDC Pants are very important, too! Gives you a lot of options and potentially more comfort. Angled pockets, extra pockets that ride high so your shirt hides the clip, ect. I rock the Vertx Delta 2.1 and love everything about it. Discreet enough to blend in, great pocket locations. I carry everything yall mentioned, but I also have a multitool and a glass/skull breaking pen. More comfort means more situational awareness.
I'm all about 3-4 o'clock carry. I wish I could do appendix. At the end of day, it's situational awareness and being a hard target. Great vid guys! Hope I can pass it to my kids.
I 100% agree with both of you on the situational awareness that you were talking about near the end of the video. So true. 75-80% of the population is not aware of what is going on around them. They are so consumed with their phones and tiktok and facebook. It's a good way to get hurt or killed. One thing to add, is your hearing. You can get alot of information from paying attention to the sounds around you too. Pay attention to what you are hearing. your hearing will actually get sharper by practicing this. Great video guys. Respect.
Nice man, glad you like it. The best firearm is the one you are comfortable with and willing to carry daily. Thank you for the support and comment. Alex
You guys are absolutely correct! I’m always changing my EDC, summer months here in the Midwest I’m carrying a Ruger LCP 2 .380 winter months I may be carrying a Glock 26 or something of that nature and size!
Great video. There are so many videos where people talk about carrying ear buds and fidgets as EDC. This video was extremely practical, and I definitely think I'm gonna switch to the chest fanny pack thanks to this. Thanks for sharing.
Tissot's are all underrated especially for what you get with the T Touch solar at that price. Just wish they'd raise the water resist another 10 BAR'S to 200m.
I am not 21 yet, so I don't carry a firearm, however, I do still have some basic EDC that I carry. on terms of knives, I carry a Kershaw Cyro II. It's a small pocket knife with assisted opening. It's legal in all 50 states, and if you know what you're doing, I've snuck it through multiple TSA's before. They're pretty easy to find if you have a scheels store nearby. Wallet: currently I use just a leather pouch, but I would love to get a ridge wallet, or something similar to what Alex has. Flashlight: I have a mechanics Pen light that I got off a tool truck a while back when I was working at a Dealership. It's super bright, rechargable, and reliable. My one thing with it is that it's pretty long as far as flashlights go. My ideal setup, would keep the Kershaw, get a shorter Flashlight (preferably from the same brand). Glock 17 mounted on the pelvis, and a Ridge wallet. I will say however, there have been times when for one reason or another, I have not had gear, and simply having situational awareness saved my life
I’m interested to know what brand knife is shown at 4:16 seconds of the video, I have an edc but it’s to big and I can’t carry it parallel to my belt to make it not print as much, great video.
My flashlight is a must because I use it for so many things including taking my pup out at night and we have coyotes near by always. POM oc spray is always on me due to me being able to toss it to one of my sons to have if they need to. Glock 23 gen 5 is my edc and sometimes my sig 229r in 40.
One thing I don’t like about OC( I am a less lethal instructor) is the risk of second hand exposure. Typically I use oc for dog and if you have a large group you need to disperse
@@86keen It is definitely a concern if I ever have to deploy the oc. If it’s a split second decision the wind direction will not be considered and I could possibly have unintended targets.
@@darrenbishop4327 I did buy my wife and daughter who is in college Pom. They have no interest in carrying a gun(daughter no old enough either) so OC is better than nothing. I had the pleasure of receiving 3 full exposure within a year. We carry saber red and the shit definitely works.
@@86keen My wife carries sometimes but she very rarely carries on her. I don’t understood it but what can you do. She has Pom in her purse and if she’s ever mugged that’s the first thing that usually happens is the purse is taken. I’ll have to try the Sabre red.
Hey Pablo, That is a First Tactical watch. I am not sure it is currently sold on their website anymore. Thank you for viewing our content brother...and the comments help a ton. Alex
Great information, thanks I'm Rocking a Glock 43x Mos for summer and a Glock 48 for winter And a Rayovac pin light in the pocket with a Knife 🔪 😳 Go Navy!!!!!!
Hey Alex, great content yet again; you haven't put out one video I haven't liked, keep up the awesome work! BTW, you didn't mention your edc Gator shades or watches, just curious if either you or Magnum P.I. own different watches or shades for different occasions?
Hey Simon! I pretty much always stick with gatorz unless shooting in low light, then I swap with clear lens ESS eye pro. For a watch I'm pretty much always wearing the same. Its a first tactical.
Matt’s edc setup when running is something I need, I always just carry a fix 3 inch knife and that’s it because Most of my bags are to big to run in …damn
Yup I got 20 different handguns and I find myself carrying my p365 98% of the time. I can carry it and not even know it’s there, some firearms are so big and heavy I never carry them. Also think about how expensive holsters for all those firearms starts to be. And you don’t want to cheap out on a carry holster because often times the holster you have can make the difference between the firearm being comfortable or not comfortable to carr
I wish you all would have showed the holsters Lol a quick half second glimpse doesn’t really cut it. I make holsters for a living and I’m always curious about others are carrying, just being nosy haha
Edc means nothing if you don't train. Please train with the firearm you plan to use. If you aren't familiar with drawing your pistol from whatever location your carrying it. You risk precious minutes fumbling around for it and it could cost you your life. Don't be afraid to put that holster on at home and practice drawing the pistol put of the holster. (Just make sure the chamber is empty and clip removed safety 1st)
100% with situational awareness being the most important.. guys walk around with all the gear in the 5.11 store but don’t look up to see why the need it.. also train train train!
Man, glock must have knocked it out the park with the glock 19 eh? I'm from UK so I have no clue to be honest. But every video I see of edc from guys who seemingly know what they are talking about, say the glock 19.
Glock 26, Haley strategic wallet with the knife, otf knife, stream light, and occasionally multi tool knife on my ankle. Can’t forget the dude wipe in the wallet either.
Surprised there is no mention of OC spray. The application of the hot sauce fills the same role as the taser, easier to carry, deploy effectively against multiple threats, inexpensive many benefits without the proximity and difficulties of a taser or stun gun.
OC spray is definitely an option. In my personal experience, I do not like OC spray for a few reasons. Delayed onset of effects (about 10-30 seconds), it does not stop people with a high threshold for pain and there is almost always cross contamination. I'm not saying it is a bad option, but I personally prefer taser for those reasons (tasers have flaws aswell). Thanks for the input Ray. Alex
Appendix carry is tough for me because I'm always doing work on my little two acre farm, always bending and working on things lifting stuff, 3-4 o'clock works best for me. I don't even worry about printing anymore.
Any help/suggestions on how to fix the stiff hip flexor/ pelvic tilt problem?? I have this very very badly. Not only does it run in my family but as an Executive Chef I am essentially forced to work with horrible posture all day long. Awesome video, yall 💪🏼
I understand the desire to have consistency with technique, but there are plenty of body stacking crime fighters who AIWB when off duty. If the difference of clearing a cover garment isn't going to fuck you up, then the difference in holster placement won't either. There's more differences involved in going back and forth between driving automatic and manual vehicles. Mike Pannone talks about this subject. He suggests what he calls " Starting up a program." It's simply a matter of getting some good deliberate dry reps with whatever carry position you're going to be rocking that day, before you head out into the wild. If you do it right, and mentally focus on the position/technique change, then you're not going to forget and accidentally go for your gun in the wrong carry position.
I've open carried a handgun for years, now being settled down I have started the steps to get mt CCW but I do not know which position would work best for me. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on different types of holsters and all my friends still just open carry.

Good comments gentlemen! Good advice by you gentlemen concerning

Hey Pablo,
That is a First Tactical watch. I am not sure it is currently sold on their website anymore. Thank you for viewing our content brother...and the comments help a ton.

I want details about that Carbon fiber spike!
Thank you I appreciate you watching .
Check out the Hill People Gear Runners Kit Bags. It’s a chest pack that holds all your essentials while you run. Very affordable as well.
Nice, i'll check it out. Thanks for the tip brother. I appreciate ya.

Where can I get the rounded carbon knife with the ulticlips
Thank you I appreciate you watching .
Great video, 4 o’clock is how I carry also, it’s just more comfortable for my body type. 👍
Solid. Can't go wrong with 4 o'clock imo.
Alex
Matt’s edc setup when running is something I need, I always just carry a fix 3 inch knife and that’s it because Most of my bags are to big to run in …damn
Thank you I appreciate you watching .
Thank you I appreciate you watching .
I wish you all would have showed the holsters Lol a quick half second glimpse doesn’t really cut it. I make holsters for a living and I’m always curious about others are carrying, just being nosy haha
haha sorry about that man. Mine was Comptac victory gear and I believe Matt said his was G-code
@@IronInfidel haha your good 👍🏼 thanks for clarifying!!! I’ll check out the comptac, I know about G-code already.
Awesome video, 😀

I was wondering the same. Also about Matt’s all carbon fiber knife
I want a link to that one as well! And the sheath!

Definitely interesting to see what works for different people.

I can’t stop being reminded of captain price when looking at Matt

Edc means nothing if you don't train. Please train with the firearm you plan to use. If you aren't familiar with drawing your pistol from whatever location your carrying it. You risk precious minutes fumbling around for it and it could cost you your life. Don't be afraid to put that holster on at home and practice drawing the pistol put of the holster. (Just make sure the chamber is empty and clip removed safety 1st)
Exactly! Dry practice can work wonders for your draw and weapon manipulation development. Thanks for the comment Jaime!

What is a clip? Never heard of such a thing, when it comes to semiauto pistols

Hey Nathan, hit up @theoperationalathlete on IG.
Good thing for LA County CCW's. Before that, I had to EDC a Taser Pulse in a We the People Holster and OC spray.

100% with situational awareness being the most important.. guys walk around with all the gear in the 5.11 store but don’t look up to see why the need it.. also train train train!
100% agreed. Situational awareness is critically important. I'll be sending some patreon content soon my dude.

Man, glock must have knocked it out the park with the glock 19 eh?

30 secs! I couldn't imagine. I thought getting tazer qualed was the longest 5 seconds of my life
30 seconds would be brutal.

Appendix carry is tough for me because I'm always doing work on my little two acre farm, always bending and working on things lifting stuff, 3-4 o'clock works best for me. I don't even worry about printing anymore.

Awesome video, yall 💪🏼
Avoid sitting and work on exercises like goblet squats.
Great vid ! Where can I buy that carbon fiber spike ? Thanks 🙏
Hit up @theoperationalathlete on IG. Thanks for viewing.
Thanks for watching. We truly appreciate it.
Awesome video. Where can I pick up that chest rig? What a great idea
Question for Alex... loved the video and info but can you tell me what Shades you have on your hat? Are those Oakleys?
Those are gatorz magnums. Been using this design since about 2013 or so. They last for years and they fit great.
@@IronInfidel thnx bud appreciate it
I've open carried a handgun for years, now being settled down I have started the steps to get mt CCW but I do not know which position would work best for me. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on different types of holsters and all my friends still just open carry.
If you're not fat, appendix carry. If you're fat, small of back and hit the gym
