He seems like a humble, cool dude.
yes he does and a dude you dont want to fck with when commiting a crime 😎
He seems like a great guy. Also wow the view from his deck is unreal!
Awesome video, Jack Carr is one of my favorite authors, reading his 3rd book 📖 now! Awesome EDC video, love his Yota! Jack appears to be a very humble down to earth guy. Enjoyed your video!
Anyone who's been through the shit are almost always the most level headed people you'll ever come across.
yeah, because if you're not in that situation you don't come back.
PTSD would beg to differ
Hey Jack! A quick tip! There's a pouch at the top of the tongue of your Salomon shoes to store the lace pull cord. 👍🏻
I do not normally read fiction. However, I recently read Jack Carr's book, "The Terminal List" and could not recommend it more highly. I just started the second book in the series, "True Believer", and was happy to find it just as riveting. Yes, book# 3, "Savage Son", has been ordered!
Mike, Thanks for introducing me to Jack. His books are great. I started reading them after the first video.
Hope you're enjoying them!
@@LastLineOfDefense Ty for serving

I've gone through all three in the series and can't wait for the next. I've turned all my friend and my two sons, of which my youngest is serving as a US Marine. Great video, always good to peek into the life of someone who's been there and done that. I'm thankful for Jack's service. Hopefully one of these days I'll run into him as I just live down in the Salt lake valley. Maybe at BRCC?? (Like maybe for a book signing when he releases his new installment)??
Btw, I subd just because of this vid so you can thank Jack for that..lol 👍😁
I got to meet him on one of his book tour stops. Incredibly nice and humble guy. He took the time to individually sign books, take pictures, and talk to every single person who showed up. I asked him a question about a specific detail in his books and he took the time to stop signing my book just to go into detail about it. Then he thanked me for asking. Awesome.
He deserves to have a home in a beautiful area like that. Wonderful father and defender of the flag.
I'm a watch aficionado. I've already have noticed his Ares watch on another video. And at that time I didn't know Ares watches. I thought it would be a "soulless" cheapo generic Miyota. I was amazed when I saw excelent movement options like ETA 2824 and Ronda quartz, with sapphire and great water resistance rating. That point on I became a fan and wanted to know more about this man. Wanting to see his books here in Brazil!
Just finished the book series about a month ago. Watched this video and could clearly see the character base. Great video!
Great video! I love the books I just listened to them all at work the last couple weeks. Look forward to more!
I did an EDC video the other day so this is top of mind for me. The flashlight & fixed blade are what I really need to up my game on. Slick video, thanks for sharing! -Josh
Thanks for watching!
@@LastLineOfDefense you bet!
I was just in Park City 2 weeks ago! Shout out from Houston!
Great video again! I’ve been reading his books since your last video. Thanks Mike!
Love the land cruiser, very sweet
Just received the terminal list for my bday. Super excited to start the series!
Now listening to your first book! Love checking out books from former operators.
Oh, nice EDC too 😂
I’ve read all of his books, and the guy is seriously gifted writer!
I had a 1984, '87, '91, and a 1993 land cruiser j series. The '84 was shit brown, light shit brown interior, factory ol man lift, 4 speed manual with locking hubs. Loved that vehicle. Sold to uncle when I needed fuel mileage for travel. We fell out of good graces and vehicle is likely gone forever. I still look for one similar but now everyone knows what they are. Lock in the 4 wheel drive and you could drive however aggressive you wanted in snow, mud, ice and if it did ever get loose you just picked your foot up a little and it was on track. We bought into the family when I was still in grade school. My older brother and I both learned to drive it before we had a license. Until the month of our driver's test it's the only vehicle my dad let us drive. I am thankful for that. My brother drove it for his first year. I drove it the first year and second. Then my dad sold it. He and I ended up rebuilding a '72 K5 blazer my senior year. I drove a Honda prelude with a stick as my main vehicle until the snow came and switched to the land cruiser for hunting trips and then the winter. Worked my tail off to own my own car, pay the insurance, gas it, fix it...hope this isn't lost today. Thank you for your service and enjoy that Cruiser!!!
He's so nice. No ego whatsoever. Awesome
I love humble operators! 🔱
Bam!! also reading the first book now!! so far its great!!
Awesome seeing the connection with James Reese, love the books and anxiously waiting for the devils hand to come out.
James Reese lives vicariously through Jack Carr.
I never heard of Jack Carr until last night, on my way to work; where he was a radio guest of Buck Sexton. Smart guy.
cool.
got that same pair of Salomons! they’ve held up pretty good. got new pair pair of Salomon Speed Assault 2 getting delivered too. these are grey (as opposed to green and black) so hoping they’ll look a little more low-viz, with just a hint of tacticool.
Thanks for putting out such great content!
Glad you enjoy it!
Cool to watch this again after finishing The Terminal List! I saw this video a while ago and had no idea Jack Carr was such a badass author!
Thank you for your service. God bless our veterans🙏🏾
Carry things you need, can use that take little space, NOT stuff that looks cool on Instagram. And he had a great point with the flashlight (and Streamlight shines 😁 on this) to not cry over the cost if lost! $300 lights are ridiculous.
I think those expensive lights probably shine better in high stress situations like combat. I carry a streamlight microstream on my person and a surefire in my bag
So is the $450 knife.
He wears a $700 watch, and carries a $450 knife...
@@adamwickes6189 700 bucks is moderately cheap for a watch
@@user-cj7dp3yq9h What planet are you on? If you pay more then $200 you are beating off. I'll put my $175 casio G-Shock ive had for 8 years up against most watches
Enjoyed the video, thanks for posting. I liked the watch strap so much I went to the Ares web site and ordered one. Was exctally what I was looking for. Bonus it was on sale!
I do understand the P365 and the Sig x-carry. Great taste in pistols!
John Clark, Navy Seal, driver of a Toyota Land Cruiser was invented by Tom Clancy in Cardinal of the Kremlin in 1988. Coincidence? There are no coincidences...
Carr is also an author/writer he loves Clancy
one of my favorite books
Without Remorse was my favorite Clancy work. Clark erases some fuckers in that one
John Terrence Kelly, Without Remorse
My dad had a friend who new Clancy. Sum of all Fears is my favorite of his works.
Loved seeing this! I wear the same pants and have the goretex version of those same shoes! Made me smile.
What is the name/style/model of the pants?
Look at that backdrop! I think I need to get me a pair of them Solomans or something similar. I had a similar pair of Adidas that I absolutely loved and were completely waterproof thanks to Goretex, but the quick-lace cord cut through the eyelets and the 2 pairs since sucked. Soloman at least has a plastic part in the eyelet to prevent the cord from cutting through.
Sheesh look at that crib! Jack Carr is a man of style and great taste.
That's a solid EDC right there.
Cool. Need lot more guys like you.
I'm reading Carr's books right now. Great books.
They're addicting!
I just finished the third one-they are solid!
Likewise! I've started and finished all 3 since the LLOD's first Jack Carr vid. Excellent!
I started the first one on a sunday and finished all three within two weeks reading after work. I wish the 4 book was out already
Just read the first one this afternoon. 👍
Finished the Terminal List, great read. Just started True Believer. Jack is as cool as his books.
You’re so lucky to have met him !
I recognized that Sun Peak house in the first few seconds! Loved park city, I sold Real Estste there for 15 years! Miss the fall colors.
The Streamlight 2L-X is a great light to carry. Also the HL-X, if you don’t mind the wider head (you get a lot more lumens).
Love Jack Carr’s books, I am eagerly awaiting the next one, it can’t get here soon enough.
do his books get better? there was so much liberal bashing in "the terminal list" that i threw it away when i was done.
@@deannam1981 liberals should be bashed. seethe harder.
A liberal throwing away a book?
"These gatorz were 1st purchased by your great grandfather during Operation Enduring Freedom... and now young man, I give these gatorz to you."
Pulp fiction....nice.
😂
Been waiting for this! I binged his books after your last video. Good stuff!
Sig P365 is what he said I believe.
Glad you like them!
Jack is a great Patriot! The books are awesome!👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I just read The Terminal List. Loved it!
On to the next!
Jack Carr is the reason why I as an ex-LEO decided to try my hand at writing too!
I think it’s time for a rig walk around update!
i really love his books, hoping more comes to europe/germany soon. ^^ on every page u can see he absolutly knows what he write! awesome to have him as author too. :)
I might just be old school but I love double action hammerless or shrouded revolvers for pocket carry they are just the best
Very similar to my EDC. I don't carry a fixed blade but instead carry a Kershaw Brawler and a Victorinox camper along with my P365 and extra mag.
Great video as always!!!!
Congrats on the new series that shit was dope give us more plz
That Arnold Commando phone case... love it!!!
A buddy of mine used to manufacture frames for Gatorz . I can believe they’re still around.
Good stuff. Def going to check out that belt.
Thank you for your service
Jack Carr is awesome!
Funny, I binged Terminal List and immediately recognized the Winkler 'hawks on his wall. I have one of their knives, but I haven't pulled the trigger on the 'hawk yet. I have a number of hand forged 'hawks from H&B Forge, but in reality if I'm picking one survival 'hawk, as great as H&B is, I don't want to worry about rough use causing the handle coming loose or having to make a new one when there's no time to do so. One of these days I'll stop buying ammo (or the f'n expensive Sig mags) and splurge for a WInkler 'hawk.
Right on ... thx you guys
(2:55) The coolest smartphone case ever, especially when you need to get to de choppa.
Very relatable EDC, aside from how expensive some of the pieces are.
Expensive pieces save you more time/money in the long run, that's why I always buy totl, buy once cry once.
Holy shit. $450 for the blade.
Yeah, I was like "Damn that blade looks like one I need.", but hey, I don't have $450
Well, that was his life.
Good stuff. Thanks fellas.
🇺🇸💪🏻🇨🇴👊🏿💥🪵💎🇨🇴always thankful and welcome 🙏
Finally a EDC video without all the unnecessary stuff needed if you live in the city.
Looking forward to the 4th book Jack.
Same!
Cool strap on the flashlight. Maybe his own design? I usually add some 550 cord to my lights (wrist strap) help retain when moving in dark.
Thanks for this video!! Love the books
They're great, can't wait for the 4th!
Drink every time he says “bam” or “boom” lol
I sure liked TERMINAL LIST. My fam's getting me TRUE BELIEVER and SAVAGE SON for Christmas. Can't wait to read them. His gear sure is nice, and well thought ot too!
Very cool - hope you like em!
BAM 💥 💥💥!!!!
Omg he loves land cruisers he’s so cool! I always wanted to see what real killers edc!
just finished watching terminal list was awesome
That Arnold Phone case is a classic..
Luv u man this was the best thanks big fan of both of you
Love ur vids man
Love Jack Carr’s books. Got the latest one autographed and it sits proudly in my office.
Awesome!
Great video. We must have just missed each other. W got back from there last week. We stay just up that road.
I’ve been reading his books, highly recommend the James Reece series
P365!! Love it. Just got one, and ordered a 12rd mag for a little extra purchase on the grip.
Is that a compact?
@@martinezjames83 subcompact. Perfect summer carry gun in shorts and a tee. My winter caddy is a S&W M&P compact 2.0
Carry*
@@BDawgCrypto gotcha! I have a p320 but not sub compact. Might need to get into the idea of a carry
@@martinezjames83 well, a p320 is awesome so consider me jealous! Always a good idea to buy more pistols though! Haha 😂
Love this guy. Super cool
I love how the operators always have a humble viewpoint and are articulate and well spoken. And they could end you and I without effort.
They could end you assuming that they didn't retire with a bunch of injuries or become tired and out of shape. I have never met any SEALs but have known more than a few Army Rangers and Airborne soldiers that were fit and badass when they were young but now they are older, out of shape and have bad knees or shoulders due to all the physical stuff they did in the service. It happens to most serious athletes as they age and doesn't take anything away from what they did when they were young.
Best books ever !
Retired Marine, my EDC = Hamilton Titanium watch, Bench Made fixed short blade, Olight mini, 511 tactical web belt, hidden handcuff key, Walther PPS, low profile leather holster, extra mag, tact III trousers, Patagonia drifters, Bic pen and a snot rag..
Terminal List is good shit. Heard him first on Rogan.
Another great addition to Utah
Now this is the version of QVC I'd be happy to watch.
Very cool! Mr Carr seems like a really cool guy. Is it just me or does Utah seem to be a magnet for High Speed Low Drag types?
Western free states in general. From what I've heard there are more Special Forces dudes in Austin TX than anywhere else in the country.
He's a great dude - and yeah a lot of outdoor lovers flock to Park City, if they can afford it.
I was about to get knife snob on this guy but that knife is beautiful + one of the best steels available with carbon fiber handle ftw. This guy knows what's up.
Watching the series on prime tv now !
Thats a beautifull gun.
Real dude! Loved that Reece went Ambi up the stairs.
Please, Next interview...another SEAL author, Matt Bracken.
Beautiful area.
I'm surprised every day at how many who carry heat but don't carry a serious blade. My thought is I may not want to go BOOM and alert everyone in a mile radius. My EDC for the last almost 30 years is the 6 inch Vaquero Grande serrated folder from Cold Steel. I added the Rajah ll to my left pocket in 2020. I never leave home without them.
There are at least 100x the amount of people who have trained to proficiently use a gun in self defense than there are those who can use a knife in self defense. The firearm is a far, far better defensive weapon. I do think pepper spray is a great non lethal option to combo with carrying a gun though.
@@LastLineOfDefense - No argument here. I also carry heat everywhere. In my state I can carry anything. I have around 45 rounds ready at all times and more in my vehicle bag. I shoot paper and clays, minimum once a week.
But a good dedicated knife is a necessity in my opinion. Both of mine are thumb stud to open with 1 hand.
Good video.
Great vid good stuff maybe some new edc with the new book ?
Ha! I just got the same holster for my staccato.
Great interview …. EDC …. With Jack
What was the brand of the tactical light ??
great content. thank you.
