Funny thing about zippers sir. I was a young Paratrooper/medic at Bragg in 90s. My batt. PA one day, gave same advice about zippers on our M5 aidbags. He was a former 18D turned Delta turned officer/PA. Great guy, I considered him a mentor. Fast forward my 26 year paramedic career, I routinely advise young EMTs/medics the zipper thing.
Sub'd and am now reading Terminal List. For older eyes: I took a silver sharpie to the back of my kydex mags-G43,G19 etc.. After retiring, I stayed with what I was issued. Merry Christmas to all! SF

The Stream light stylus is a lovely torch I clip it on my inside Trousers snickers pocket, Don't even know its there its so thin. Only draw back is the battery life if you use it heavily, which is due to the exceptionally bright light. Again great piece of kit!
Killer video, love these things! Badass RE: the zippers…I was an Army medical officer assigned to infantry units always standardized our M9 bags and personal kit this way so we could grab anyones kit (in theory) and this would save so much scrambling/fumbling in no-light/low-light situations. Thanks for your insights.

Definitely not a professional here, but I would imagine it depends on the restrictions for each environment. I know one of the newer things are titanium or G10 for a blade.
@@robertm9848 friend, that’s not accurate at ALL. Carrying certain things in certain states is either illegal or legal, depending on the state. This is what will put you behind bars, or not! Please research this before you get yourself in a pinch

Wow I always keep zippers on my backpack in the same spot since I was a kid. Which means that I had already mindset of Delta operator at that age. I knew it.. I am such a badass alpha heavy hitter type of a guy that is insane.. 😎🤙💪

No wrong choice with Glock vs Sig, I have both. My only issue with Sig is that the mags are over double the price of any of my other handguns and they're also incredibly stiff for a while. I had to use a loader for a while on those mags before I could do more than 2 or 3 by hand.
Just got a Black Point Tactical for my M & P Shield Plus and LOVE IT! What a comfortable piece of kit. I've been a CCW carrier since 2001 so you can imagine the multitude of holsters I've been through (40 or so at least) and this is by far the best I've come across. Tier 1 Concealed Echo is a very close second and also an amazing holster (I carry strong side 4 o'clock)...

Black Rifle drink… no. I’m old enough to be the father of most of these tactical guys, so it’s interesting to see their daily carry necessities. And odd choices, like a handcuff key. What kind of life are you living? EDC is a pistol. You know why. A knife, for daily utility, wallet, keys, cell phone, and of course, clothes. Appropriate for season and destination. When going out at night, a light- my daughter uses her cell phone, gah! The rifle and quick clot are in the vehicle with targets hearing protectors, etc. looks like Jack and I have the same pistol safe, except mine is bolted next to the bed, and needs a new set of batteries. My other safes are console vaults in the vehicles. Nice video, good books, great imagination. Thanks, Jack!
People tend to forget about pepper spray in their EDC kit. Guns are great (and should be carried as well) but pepper spray can handle 99% of self defense encounters the average person will face.

I did trim a little bit of plastic off and I did have an old leather belt hanging around and used it to widen my hooks out. The BP Holster is very secure even in lose fitting board shorts 🩳 . From flip flops to work wear my Mini Wing & 365 goes with me everywhere. 🇺🇸

I like your sig, I carry the Sig P938 SAS but its only 7 rounds. I keep a medkit on my bike and I added tourniquets to it, but I have no training on using it. Thats good solid common sense advice to get training. I never have time so I have never slowed down long enough to find a class. That makes it almost pointless to carry the medkit.

FYI you totally can bring trauma shears on an airplane. I've done it a bunch of times, even had TSA pull them out and directly examine them several times in different airports and they never had an issue with it.

Been using Semper Sharp neck knife as a fight blade lately just to change it up, very pleased. Good group of guys. Macro is where it’s at! Modern society is a love hate relationship, I Like the innovations and technology it’s an exciting time to be alive, but the moral decline (IMO) over the last 20 years…well, maybe I’d rather just have iron sights and a paper map.
No gun just a shovel and run away for me. The aid kit is for mountain biking and is light but has filled the need. 10 band aids, 1 gauze roll 2 inches wide, 5 tubes super glue, baking soda, six 4x4 gauze pads, twenty feet of avalanche cord, roll of duct tape, Alive, sharp pocket knife or multi tool, Tylenol, stomach medication, Benadryl, and I live where I can add a few joints. Small but I can bring skin together, splint, maintain pressure, ease pain and it is cheap small and when you buy all of this by the box you can just make lots of kits for the same amount so you never need to look far for a kit. Ps. I’ve added a clotting powder treated gauze for wound packing and blood control. You will like how well this kit works for size, expense. Excluding the marijuana. I’ve treated more than one person with the tiny bag and most of its supplies overlap in use. It has grown larger than a wallet but not by much and I don’t see anything I’d remove. For weight and size this has what I need to extract someone or myself from a thirty six hour period of mountain rescue.
@@alttuning that’s definitely one reason yes. But also, I tend to have to sharpen folders fairly often because I use them regularly for opening boxes or letters or cutting rope or any number of daily tasks. Ideally you would own a quality fixed blade that is reserved only for defensive use and therefore you wouldn’t need to sharpen it often (hopefully). Also, fixed blades are typically going to be stronger than their folding counterparts and if you intend on using it for violent interactions you certainly don’t want a folding/locking mechanism as a potential failure point
Jack, do you think you could do a EDC video of Summer EDC? Such as when you are wearing a tee shirt and a pair of shorts with only two pockets? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much...
Holy smokes it must be nice to have friends who give you awesome & expensive knives! I can barely justify a top tier $350 fixed blade & folding knives I’m not paying over $200 either & I like nice things. Most of my blades are all around $100 for hard usage & I use them frequently too. I like that you carry 2 knives though.

You mentioned that the bedside pistol is to get you to your rifle. You showed so much stuff that went way off EDC which was cool, but would have in that case liked to see your rifle set up. But yeah.

Mr. Carr, I've got a question for you if you get a chance to respond. What are your thoughts on the 5.7 cartridge, and the pistols coming out recently that are chambered in it? I prefer Smith and wesson for concealed carry and was floored when I saw they brought out a 5.7 pistol. With gas impingement no less.
why not a folded bandanna in back pocket for wiping everything that needs wiping? I never leave home without it ,and use it for something everyday. it also takes up zero space. Just a thought.

Maybe even a realistic edc for the every day person instead of say a fixed blade knife that’s $515.

Love the gear. I always carry a spare mag. I’ve had too many “dumb” things happen to where I was separated from the primary. It works for me. 👍

What are your thoughts on the 5.7 cartridge, and the pistols coming out recently that are chambered in it?
I prefer Smith and wesson for concealed carry and was floored when I saw they brought out a 5.7 pistol. With gas impingement no less.
The only edc watch you should have is a Gshock.
My knife, all of them are double duty, envelope opener and can opener… they open Ameri-can, Mexi-can, etc, multi purpose 😃

why not a folded bandanna in back pocket for wiping everything that needs wiping? I never leave home without it ,and use it for something everyday. it also takes up zero space. Just a thought.
