    Funny thing about zippers sir.
    I was a young Paratrooper/medic at Bragg in 90s. My batt. PA one day, gave same advice about zippers on our M5 aidbags.
    He was a former 18D turned Delta turned officer/PA.
    Great guy, I considered him a mentor.
    Fast forward my 26 year paramedic career, I routinely advise young EMTs/medics the zipper thing.

    The Stream light stylus is a lovely torch I clip it on my inside Trousers snickers pocket, Don't even know its there its so thin. Only draw back is the battery life if you use it heavily, which is due to the exceptionally bright light. Again great piece of kit!

    Killer video, love these things! Badass RE: the zippers…I was an Army medical officer assigned to infantry units always standardized our M9 bags and personal kit this way so we could grab anyones kit (in theory) and this would save so much scrambling/fumbling in no-light/low-light situations. Thanks for your insights.

    Thanks for sharing Jack. Very similar here, Glock 19 instead of Sig, nothing against Sig, I’ve was trained by James Yeager for over twenty years. A backup .380 in my left front pocket and always a spare 17 round mag. We live in the Memphis, AKA The Mogadishu of the West, area.
    Looking forward to your next book that you mentioned. Congrats on your success!

    • @Swearengen1980
      @Swearengen1980 2 года назад +2

      No wrong choice with Glock vs Sig, I have both. My only issue with Sig is that the mags are over double the price of any of my other handguns and they're also incredibly stiff for a while. I had to use a loader for a while on those mags before I could do more than 2 or 3 by hand.

    Just got a Black Point Tactical for my M & P Shield Plus and LOVE IT! What a comfortable piece of kit. I've been a CCW carrier since 2001 so you can imagine the multitude of holsters I've been through (40 or so at least) and this is by far the best I've come across. Tier 1 Concealed Echo is a very close second and also an amazing holster (I carry strong side 4 o'clock)...

    Black Rifle drink… no. I’m old enough to be the father of most of these tactical guys, so it’s interesting to see their daily carry necessities. And odd choices, like a handcuff key. What kind of life are you living? EDC is a pistol. You know why. A knife, for daily utility, wallet, keys, cell phone, and of course, clothes. Appropriate for season and destination. When going out at night, a light- my daughter uses her cell phone, gah! The rifle and quick clot are in the vehicle with targets hearing protectors, etc. looks like Jack and I have the same pistol safe, except mine is bolted next to the bed, and needs a new set of batteries. My other safes are console vaults in the vehicles. Nice video, good books, great imagination. Thanks, Jack!

    I like your sig, I carry the Sig P938 SAS but its only 7 rounds. I keep a medkit on my bike and I added tourniquets to it, but I have no training on using it. Thats good solid common sense advice to get training. I never have time so I have never slowed down long enough to find a class. That makes it almost pointless to carry the medkit.

    No gun just a shovel and run away for me. The aid kit is for mountain biking and is light but has filled the need. 10 band aids, 1 gauze roll 2 inches wide, 5 tubes super glue, baking soda, six 4x4 gauze pads, twenty feet of avalanche cord, roll of duct tape, Alive, sharp pocket knife or multi tool, Tylenol, stomach medication, Benadryl, and I live where I can add a few joints. Small but I can bring skin together, splint, maintain pressure, ease pain and it is cheap small and when you buy all of this by the box you can just make lots of kits for the same amount so you never need to look far for a kit. Ps. I’ve added a clotting powder treated gauze for wound packing and blood control. You will like how well this kit works for size, expense. Excluding the marijuana. I’ve treated more than one person with the tiny bag and most of its supplies overlap in use. It has grown larger than a wallet but not by much and I don’t see anything I’d remove. For weight and size this has what I need to extract someone or myself from a thirty six hour period of mountain rescue.

    • @Joshua.McNabb
      @Joshua.McNabb Год назад +1

      @@alttuning that’s definitely one reason yes. But also, I tend to have to sharpen folders fairly often because I use them regularly for opening boxes or letters or cutting rope or any number of daily tasks. Ideally you would own a quality fixed blade that is reserved only for defensive use and therefore you wouldn’t need to sharpen it often (hopefully). Also, fixed blades are typically going to be stronger than their folding counterparts and if you intend on using it for violent interactions you certainly don’t want a folding/locking mechanism as a potential failure point

    why not a folded bandanna in back pocket for wiping everything that needs wiping? I never leave home without it ,and use it for something everyday. it also takes up zero space. Just a thought.

    Which company do you recommend for an extra mag holder? I currently carry xds 9mm so that's not many rounds. Thanks for your feedback.

    I just picked up a macro a couple weeks ago. I’m in the fence on the red dot though. What do you run on your macro?
