I have loved ones that I didn't have years ago. Bugging in is a priority now. That said, the ability to get out, escape, whatever you call it in a crisis, remains a thing. You never know when you need to pick your family up and move.
The first person I've seen who talks about physical training. Many people omit this point, but it plays one of the important roles in survival. Ty for video! The man who knows what he's talking about!
Well done, my only suggestion, if you are going to have a respirator, especially one with a cbrn filter, it may be more beneficial to have a full face. Your eyes are just as susceptible to any airborne agent as your lungs. Otherwise great video and appreciate your perspective! Very thoughtful and well presented!
Thanks so much for you suggestion, you are Definitely right! I’ve already have some Wiley X ballistic glasses but a more specific model is on its way to protect my eyes 👍 so glad you enjoyed the video !

Such a good point about avoiding conflict...applies equally to people and places. Danger areas need to be avoided just like unwelcome people. In a real SHTF, people will quickly go feral and try and take your supplies / gear. Avoid at all costs unless you are well armed. You do not want to get injured / wounded over the contents of your backpack.
sure, that's the ideal, but youll have no IDEA what areas will be dangerous. It only takes one person with a pellet rifle or xrossbow to kill you, much less a real rifle. People can be hiding anywhere and most of them WILL want to take your stuff. Many will be all to willing to kill you in order to do so, too. Without your stuff, you WILL die, so taking your stuff IS killing you. So you'd better

New subscriber here. I agree with you 100% on fitness being a top priority for bugging out. And taking non a lethal approach. Along with most importantly train with your pack. What good is 50+ pounds of gear if you can’t carry it. All you are is a walking gear bag free for the taking. Now, if you’re bugging out with kids and your wife etc. please carry a gun get training on how to use it etc. God forbid you are in a situation and you can’t protect them from predators/monsters. It’s different from going the non lethal route if you’re single but if you have a family… remember we are their protectors! Anyway, love the video looking forward for more. God bless you and your family. And pray our B.O.B would never have to be used.
I couldn’t agree with you more! And Yes , despite I live in a country where we can’t carry a gun I doesn’t mean that if some very extreme happen I wouldn’t have one with me 👍 we just need to hope that our Bob will stay unused as much as possible 🙏🏻
Congratulations for your channel...doing something is much better than doing nothing, because in this age the shtf could fall on us in any moment. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Saluti dal Belgio 👍
one thing to note is that a belt does not work as a makeshift tourniquet. an alternative to a tourniquet is a shirt/piece of cloth with a stick through it that you continually twist to tighten. a belt does not tighten hard enough to effectively stop a bleed.
Thanks so much! Guns can be helpful but they have a lot of down sides, they can jam, hard to find replacement parts, they make a lot of noise and the list goes on 🤙🏻
I just found your channel and after watching this video, let me tell you, it is FANTASTIC! I have already subscribed. You realistically cover a wide variety of situations and lay out countermeasures clearly and forcefully. Congratulations!
I live in New Zealand = earthquake country so always carry a prybar/crowbar in my bug out bag/get home bag because any shift in the earth can make doors wedge tightly shut - good to get in or get out of buildings. And a rope is always handy. I also have a respirator - not gone for the gasmask though - just something to keep dust and smoke out of my lungs - again earthquake related.
That's a good point !A prybar can be a true game changer in those situations and even simple respirator can surely makes the difference, thanks so much for sharing your point of view! Truly appreciated!
Good and practical. I work in the city, live in the suburbs and have a cabin in country for weekends. I’ve actually walked out of my city when we got hit with the illustrious Snowmageddon back in 2014. The city gridlocked and people were stuck on the free way for days. It’s funny now but a wake up call at how quickly everything can go to shit. I keep a bug out bag. Lightweight and practical. The big difference is I keep a bug net in summer months as the skeeters can be horrendous. And a pistol and LMNT salt and mineral packets. It’s about 18 miles from the city to my house. Don’t need a full on expedition pack. Basically weather protection, socks, first aid
I sliced my knuckle open and had to splint my finger for it to heal. I used a pop sickle stick, but ordered actual finger splints afterward. Great video as usual. 💪🏼
Really interesting, adressing some issues others dont mention but drown you with gear. Get fit, and thats the matter of life and dead. Plain and simple. So no way around to build multiple themed loadouts. Glad to subscribe to you, keep it true and honest, i like it very much. Greetings from Germany to Italia🙋🏻♂️
Hi there! Thanks so much! Trying hard to be helpful and speak about what to me is really important to give value to the knowledge we achieve and the gear we choose 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
As far as bugging out, from someone who lives relatively rurally-the ONLY bugging out I would do, would be vehicle borne. There simply is no way I would walk out, on foot, unless there was absolutely no other choice. My wife wouldnt be able to get far with her asthma, and me, well, I will walk until I drop, and thats useless if we are going together. That being said, we both have packed daypacks with emergency stuff in them. Essentially, they are overnight backpacks, but mine has food for us in it. These are ALWAYS packed. Mine stays in my truck, and I regularly walk with it to keep in shape. Hers, we take it out on weekends to do our walks. Additionally, in my truck, I have a pry bar, a silcock key, a Halligan tool, a hand axe, and a 2 lb sledge hammer. With those tools, I can get through gated areas, clear obstacles, and even get into denied buildings in an emergency. FAR too heavy to carry, but, in the back of the truck, its a non issue.
Thanks so much to have shared your scenario/point of view with me ! I like your strategy for you and your wife, it’s also good to sometime walk with your pack on, it keeps you on fit and ready when the time might comes! Those heavy tools can open a lot of things! Thanks again!
Great video! I like your approach. I recommend also the H2Go water purification device, and data cards from CanaProvisions in the US. Also, if you intend to avoid people, consider either a non tactical night vision binocular, or thermal monocular paired with regular binoculars.
It’s a great pack for sure, quite hard to find it in my country thought plus too tactical for my idea I wanted to share plus I wanted to find a pack with good quality but cheaper for my. Viewers , hope you understand 🙏🏻 Again, the Mistery ranch a blitz 30 is an amazing pack !
Awesome channel, found it yesterday and already saw all videos 😄. I am also from Europe, but fortunatelly from country where I can carry a gun, but as you said, always try to deescalate, it is always last resort to use a gun. And I have also recomendation, I am carrying basically two medical kits. In backpack one, more of a sustainment, some gauzes, plastery, Coban, disinfectant, gloves etc, but you can lose your bag and medical stuff is essential in emergency that is why I carry also kind of IFAK in cargo pocket with first care stuff, TQ, gauze, israeli bandage, scissors and emergency blanket. Most of it fit inside of Särmä TST Pull-Out IFAK insert from Varusteleka, can highly recomend. And what is also gamechanger for me is some kind of thermal monocular. I use it primarilly for other purposes (am photographing wildlife and doing monitoring of wildlife etc.) but ability to see in night, but also in day, if someone is in some room, what is "active" and what is not is realy priceless 🙂
Omg so glad to hear that 😁 and ai’m Happy You can carry a gun daily 👍 Thanks so much for your hint I will definitely check the Sarma TST out! Any suggestion for a good brand of thermal Monoculars? Thanks again!
Your kit is absolutely well thought through ! I like in particular the choice of bag… I would definitely add the abseiling kit (there are some thinner abseiling rated ropes out there by the way). You might not be able to leave the building you are in or mountain you are on, via the same route you came in, a rope and an ad hoc harness gives you options. In addition, I would add a compact way to saw through metal effectively. I know you’ve got a great lock picking kit, but the ability to make SURE you can access “out of immediate reach” ressources is in my opinion crucial (for example getting out of dodge on a mountain bike, is in most cases preferable than on foot)
I wouldn't carry a half face gas mask unless you have sealed goggles to go with it, most things that a gas mask are needed for would greatly effect the eyes as well.
I'll suggest you to switch to some cut resistant rubberized gloves, they are pretty cheap (10 euros or less ) and they provide better protectection to your hands in case you touch something sharp
Appreciate your work. Every Ukrainian has forcibly become a BOB expert in some way. Unfortunately, I myself had to use my skills and knowledge on survival during the early stages of the full-scale invasion.
@@brunob5412 I actually both a couple of gas tight goggles, one it's 3M™ 2890 Series Polycarbonate Lens Safety Goggles, the second one is Uvex Ultrasonic Supravision. I'm going to test both out in september so I can decide which one is better 🤙
For self defense you can always (depending on your country) legally carry a bow, crossbow (especially a Steambow Stinger), harpoon (Scuba Ringer). These things should be legal in most of Europe but can certainly be used to defend yourself.
Great vid as always👍🏻 I would also like to add a gas mask, mechanics style medium sized pry bar, and possibly something for a perimeter alarm to a bug out, get home, or assault pack(due to costs for now my essential items are transferred quickly from one type of pack to the next depending on the situation). I also have an elevator key, the odds of me needing it to escape a building are slim but could be great for a safe place to sleep or hide in an urban area with no power.
@@tennesseeterri I bought my elevator key off of Amazon, $10-12 if I remember right. Wouldn’t be that hard to make one either if you have the tools and time
@@AlexWander for sure, as a side note also be aware of the rhino rescue products you have, they are still made in china and i wont trust my life with them
Keep in mind as well that “physically fit” will change as we age. If the SHTF situation becomes long-term, it will be important to have some knowledge that will make you valuable to keep around, otherwise we all become a liability at some point. It’s fun to fantasize about SHTF when you are from roughly 17-50 years old.
I can hike for a decent clip, but due to back and knees, running is a no go, besides maybe a small sprint. I'll have to rely on walking at a fast pace, blending in, and weapons. 😢
The only thing about black it will stand out in an environment, just like soldiers full auto black guns that's why they paint them. Food for thought. I'd get some paint green, tan, brown and get some leaves and paint the bag like a hunters bag something simple. I always think of parkour :) do ruck walks with backpack and lighten the load until you can carry the full load and do a little running and jump over things. :) I really like the bags though! Path finder nice looking.
You have alot of landscapes in your video... What country are you , presenting from Alex ? 3:14....You nailed it, when it comes to the First Aspect of Bugging out in an emergency. Hello there! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! Our condition will dictate our future strategies m, there’s not on one right way to do things 🙏🏻 I’m from Italy! 🔥
Ciao, video stupendo e molto ben fatto.
Pretty muscle vs. Functional muscle! Great stuff! If I could give you more than one "thumbs up" I would! For defense, consider adding a walking stick or bamboo cane (you can use it to walk, fight, or as a stick to carry a sacks like a "hobo stick") Also, add a length of solid rope (thicker than paracord) like 1/2" thick nylon rope cut to just under 3ft (1meter) in length and tie knots at both ends. I've trained in using a garrotte in both self defense and combat and there are plenty of videos on the internet that can get you started learning to use a garrotte in a fight
@@AlexWander You are welcome brother. Oh, and best way to carry a garrotte in public is to put it through the belt loops of your pants, on top of your belt (if you wear a leather belt it will be easier and faster to deploy the garrotte when it's needed since leather is inherently smooth and non-binding which is why a lot of motorcycle riders wear leather and no one liked road rash after a crash) Stay strong adventurer!
One thing that doesn't really get brought up much when it comes to building a BOB bag or prepping is the items that you carry with you on a day-to-day basis. It's kind of like how they say that the best survival knife is the one that you have on you. But that doesn't just apply to knives it also applies to having some basic first aid supplies on you, a method of starting a fire, a multi-tool, etc. Plus if you EDC certain items like in my case a fixed blade knife and a multi-tool well then you can take those items out of your BOB and decrease the weight.
How well did the gas mask seal up with the beard? I know some of the chemical plants I've worked out of prohibited beards due to respirator gear not sealing correctly. I'm not shaving my beard anymore.
According to your personal situation/life/environment you live in, would you rather Bug in or Bug Out?
I always prioritize bugin, but always have a bugout plan ready in case the time comes and I have to leave.
@@StefanWiehlandLWT I couldn’t agree with you more man!

You had some interresing considerations Alex. Thank you.
So glad to hear that! Thank you! 🙏
Very info rich video. It’s very fresh aswell. I love your vids. Thank you for new approach to the subject.

Fantastic video. Learned multiple things and I’ve been preparedness minded for years.
So glad to hear that!!!! Thanks so much!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
I would Carry the clawbar, no doubt. Great video as usual. Thanks for the great ideas. Eres grande compañero
Muchas gracias Amigo!!🙏🏻🔥
Basically weather protection, socks, first aid
thanks so much for sharing your experience!
I trust this man.

I sliced my knuckle open and had to splint my finger for it to heal. I used a pop sickle stick, but ordered actual finger splints afterward. Great video as usual. 💪🏼
Thanks so much and thanks for sharing your experience!
Really interesting, adressing some issues others dont mention but drown you with gear. Get fit, and thats the matter of life and dead. Plain and simple.
Thank you for your precious hints! Truly appreciated! 🙏🏻
Get the Black Mystery Ranch blitz 30 or 35. 35 have expanding storage on top. All zippers are PU coated
Good practical advice.
So glad to hear that, thank you!!!!
Could you make a more detaild video about the alarmkit would be great! Also thanks for you contet really appreciate you point of view
Working on a script about improvised alarms in case of emergency , thanks so much!
Thank you
amazing video.. helps a lot!
So glad to hear that, thanks! 🙏🏻
Omg so glad to hear that 😁 and ai’m
Happy You can carry a gun daily 👍
Thanks so much for your hint I will definitely check the Sarma TST out! Any suggestion for a good brand of thermal Monoculars? Thanks again!
@@AlexWander Hikmicro or Pulsar. Personaly, I use Hikmicro. Would say LYNX LH19 2.0 is best for money. Cheaper will work, but quality is not so good.
Thanks ! I Will Definitely dig more Into those brands and learn more Into thermal devices ! 🔥🔥🔥
Truly like the aspects you have highlighted! Thanks so much for sharing them! 🤙🏻
If you carry a respirator should you not consider eyepro to work alongside it ?
Most chemical agents effect eyes as much as the Respiratory system
You’re right I actually have a Wiley X ballistic eyeglasses that I often have with me and they would work well the Mira safety gas mask 👍
Another great one. Thank you
Thanks again!
Man you know, i'm looking for a good and great monocular, i'll be waiting for your video about it!
I might have found one, stay tuned!
Great video
Thanks so much!!!!
I wouldn't carry a half face gas mask unless you have sealed goggles to go with it, most things that a gas mask are needed for would greatly effect the eyes as well.
You are definitely right, I’ve ordered some sealed googles a week ago to protect myself better 👍
Great video. Thanks.
Thank you!!!!
Your Knowledge is a realistic as a go bag
Truth!
I'll suggest you to switch to some cut resistant rubberized gloves, they are pretty cheap (10 euros or less ) and they provide better protectection to your hands in case you touch something sharp
Thank you for the suggestion!!
Where can you purchase bags already prepared like this ?
Unfortunately, there are not Premade bags like this, sorry 🤷🏻
You need eye protection from CS gas as well as lungs. I suggest as a low budget item, some swim goggles.
Agreed , I lately got a pair of professional sealed goggles for protecting my eyes! Thanks for sharing!🙏🏻
Appreciate your work. Every Ukrainian has forcibly become a BOB expert in some way. Unfortunately, I myself had to use my skills and knowledge on survival during the early stages of the full-scale invasion.
I’m so sorry for what’s happening to you and your country …. I wish you all the best 🙏🏻🔥
Outstanding value

Thanks so much friend!🙏🏻
thank you !
No protective eyewear ? against smokes, CS, or wind ?
I bought some professional sealed googles after the video 🙏
@@AlexWander what model did you choose ? Any suggestion ? Thanks !
@@brunob5412 I actually both a couple of gas tight goggles, one it's 3M™ 2890 Series Polycarbonate Lens Safety Goggles, the second one is Uvex Ultrasonic Supravision. I'm going to test both out in september so I can decide which one is better 🤙
@@AlexWander Thanks for sharing
@brunob5412 my pleasure ! I
Will make a proper video about it!
For self defense you can always (depending on your country) legally carry a bow, crossbow (especially a Steambow Stinger), harpoon (Scuba Ringer). These things should be legal in most of Europe but can certainly be used to defend yourself.
Thanks so much for your hints! I will definitely check them out and see what law says in my country, thanks for sharing!
The elevator thing is a very smart strategy, thanks for sharing your point of view, truly helpful!🙏🏻🤙🏻
Where do you get the key?
I think you can buy those key even in Amazon these days .
@@tennesseeterri I bought my elevator key off of Amazon, $10-12 if I remember right. Wouldn’t be that hard to make one either if you have the tools and time
Video spettacolare,Alex! Qua c'è da rivederlo a nastro e prendere appunti su carta.... Grazie!!😎
Grazie infinite, sono sempre felice di poter essere utile!🙏
You should put the headlamp in the faraday bag too
Actually I should put all my electronics in it 🤙🏻 thanks for sharing!
@@AlexWander for sure, as a side note also be aware of the rhino rescue products you have, they are still made in china and i wont trust my life with them
Physical fit? Welp…. There goes 70% of the keyboard warriors
Being on fit is fundamental for sure 👍
Agreed
My biggest prep is working out 2x a day and 48-hr fasting once a week.
Learn to eat less. And keep your body physically fit.
Best prep IMHO
Keep in mind as well that “physically fit” will change as we age. If the SHTF situation becomes long-term, it will be important to have some knowledge that will make you valuable to keep around, otherwise we all become a liability at some point. It’s fun to fantasize about SHTF when you are from roughly 17-50 years old.
@@chrisinf-11b10 I couldn't agree with you more, knowledge is a great currency !
And 70% of preppers aswel

No thank you!
Way to go brother. Great share on tips and preparedness.
Thanks so much brother!
I can hike for a decent clip, but due to back and knees, running is a no go, besides maybe a small sprint. I'll have to rely on walking at a fast pace, blending in, and weapons. 😢
We all need to tailor our plan according to our possibilities, there’s not only one solution to the problem 🙏🏻👍
@Alex Wander, hello! Looking forward to this video.
Hello there! Truly hope you enjoy it!
About the colors,
You are definitely right 🤙🏻 Parkour is a great discipline ! Thanks for sharing!
What stove do you use and what fuel? Also, I just purchased a nano stove, what fuel pellets do you use for it?
If I want to be silent I would used the Nesbit stove or something similare with fuel tablets 👍
Fitness. My first Bob I could barely walk around the house with it. 😂So heavy.😂
we all have to face that moment once 😁

Hello there! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! Our condition will dictate our future strategies m, there’s not on one right way to do things 🙏🏻 I’m from Italy! 🔥
Ciao, video stupendo e molto ben fatto.
Great video! What is the name of the 3rd defense tool at 11:54? Thank you.
Thanks so much!!! It’s called :”Mr. I don’t Know” I actually made them 👍
Do you have a video about your sealed ballistic glasses?,
Not yet , still looking for a good one 🤙🏻
Pretty muscle vs. Functional muscle! Great stuff! If I could give you more than one "thumbs up" I would!
For defense, consider adding a walking stick or bamboo cane (you can use it to walk, fight, or as a stick to carry a sacks like a "hobo stick")
Also, add a length of solid rope (thicker than paracord) like 1/2" thick nylon rope cut to just under 3ft (1meter) in length and tie knots at both ends. I've trained in using a garrotte in both self defense and combat and there are plenty of videos on the internet that can get you started learning to use a garrotte in a fight
Thanks so much for your amazing advices! I will definitely go deeper into them, thanks for sharing! Truly honored!
@williamneal7210 so amazing thanks so much!!! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Of course your EDC whatever yoour EDC is will Complement your GHB or your BOB, that's for sure 👍
How well did the gas mask seal up with the beard? I know some of the chemical plants I've worked out of prohibited beards due to respirator gear not sealing correctly. I'm not shaving my beard anymore.
it works good, without a beard the sealing would be flawless, but hey I love my beard 😁
Complimenti bellissimo video, aspetto con ansia i sottotitoli in italiano però 😁👍🤚
Mi sto organizzando 😁 Grazie mille!🙏🏻
Very nice video, realistic and good edit 👍🏻. Could you tell a bit more about the knife and kubotan please!?
Thanks! The knife is a Wandertactical Menoceras Sentinel custom, the kubotan is made by me and it’s called Mr. I don’t know 🤙🏻
@@AlexWander are they available for purchase ?
