Admission to the Clark Planetarium is free for all exhibits except the theater. It is right next to a stop on the light rail (called Trax) and it is connected to an outdoor mall called "The Gateway."
Pretty sure you'd have to take a bus from downtown that takes you to Cottonwood Heights. And then hopefully there's a shuttle from Big Cottonwood Canyon that might also take you up Little Cottonwood Canyon.
I have not been to Salt Lake City yet (excluding the airport due to a flight connection), but it looks really cool! I really like that the city has quite a lot to offer!
You'd probably also enjoy the Ogden farmer's market a little under an hour north of Salt Lake City. It goes up and down historic 25th street and is almost as big as the Salt Lake one. There's also an interactive art exhibit that used to be in Gateway Mall in Salt Lake but has moved just a little South to Sandy called Dreamscape. Definitely worth a visit. It's sister gallery the Urban Art Gallery is still in Salt Lake at the Gateway. It's less than a block from Clark Planetarium. If you're into board games at all, the Wasatch Front has more game stores per capita than anywhere in the country, so there are several really great ones in Salt Lake and in the nearby cities.
TBH, the best way to experience Salt Lake City is to fly in there, and then enjoy the rest of the state. This is coming from a local who lived in SLC for years. SLC is probably the worst that the state has to offer
Open event Street, I have not seen an announcement for 2024 yet. If you want to do this, I would suggest googling to see if it's going on. Don't count on it. Stay away from Pioneer Park unless you're there for the farmer's market. I am dead on serious, all the locals will tell you so. I live in Salt Lake City I know.
Salt Lake looks like such an awesome place to visit!! I'm just curious, is this a sponsored video If you worked with the tourism board? I'm still trying to figure all this RUclips & Brand Collab stuff out.
Such an amazing place! My mom and I were blown away and had the best adventure. Yes it is :) every brand and tourism board I work with is an authentic relationship of a place or product I truly believe in and believe my audience would as well! :)

Funny the “Elephant in the Room”wasn’t mentioned.
Salt Lake is great, but this is an advertisement. You can even see her reading the ad copy a few times, lol.

Well, you didn't really explain that with this message. But Greek culture runs deep in Utah, and we love it!
I was going to say the same thing respectfully. Foodies know it’s pronounced “yee-row”.
