Utah is an incredibly well kept secret. :D People are always blown away when they come to visit, be it outdoors stuff, or the city stuff we kind of have it all. Summer, winter, UT is fun.
Temple Square has beautiful Christmas lights on the winter. It's a spectacle (and busy) every year with performances and free hot chocolate! It's fun to just wander

Omg !! Do a video on park city utah ❤️ that’s where I’m at and wanna see what you come up with. Awesome video. It’s about 20 mins from Salt Lake City 🌃
Can't afford it. But there are some good places to eat there if you ask the locals..Just for fun (Yuks and Giggles..) ruclips.net/video/LjxdVVIje8c/видео.html
Dude where have I been?! I don't even know half these places 😭 I go to slc like every week and only know in and out 😂but thanks so much for the video, definitely gonna look into all this.
You missed Squatters Pub, and The Pie, best pizza in the world. The University of Utah is also worth a visit. The light rail around the city is also easy to get around.
Lagoon is a lot of fun. It has been a long time since I worked there as a teenager. Just remember that it will probably be really hot so bring plenty of sunscreen and drink a lot of water. One fun thing to do on the Colossus is to push your head back in the seat when you go in the loop and you blackout. You can ride it many times in a row usually right before closing.
WOW THANKS! What an amazing video with so much RICH information. I personally have been to most and they are truly worth the trip. Plus you can take you Gruven music with you while you do!
You really should expand this list. You left out Hogle Zoo, LAGOON Amusement park, the Kennicott Copper Mine, the Aquarium, and the Planetarium, Timpanogos Cave... Plus the Children's museum for those with young children.
This is true. If one wants to take the drive out to Antelope Island these places are just as far and easy to get to. I've been going to Lagoon since I was a kid, it has its charm.
Holy mackerel 😳😲 simply breathtaking doesn’t look real more like a painting so many colors can’t imagine 🤷♂️🙋♂️😔 even doing nothing must be peaceful and like heaven relaxing calming in whatever work or thing your doing it’s balance dang
Dawg your crazzzzyyy!!!! The fishing here is GREAT not to mention all the badass camping spots and bars bro! Yall think were some mormon city slickers.. But you dont know nothing about SLC, damn CITY BOYS..
Seriously, Ut, let's not mention the fishing. Okay, the Green River (about a 4 hour drive) is magnificent; the places closer are already over-crowded at times. From now until the 4th of July the rivers will all be pretty high except for the tailwaters...
Fishing? Where? Mantua 50 miles north of SLC? Not much fishing in the Wasatch Front valley itself. There is the Jordon River, and a couple small ponds but they're polluted. The fishing is not great in and around Salt Lake City. Fish is very limited and expensive if you want to eat some.
You did a really good job. I enjoyed your style very much. I am moving to Utah in a year I hope, and I appreciate this positive video about Utah. Thank you.
These are fine places to see. I grew up in Salt Lake and spent my first 30 years there. Might I recommend some sites as well. 1: the copper mine in the western mountains. 2: Snowbird ski resort in the summer and take the tram to the top. 3: Park City and the US Ski teams practice facilities.4: Iceberg drive in and get a shake.5: the soup kitchen in sugerhouse
Thanks for the great list of ideas and for listing them out in the description. We're actually going to SLC on vacation and took notes! Video editing is a hobby of mine as well so I can appreciate what goes into producing content like this. Great work! I've subscribed.
Try out the hogle zoo its almost across the street from this is the place park, quite fun. Also go to lagoon in farmington 45 minutes north of salt lake city. Lagoon has the widest variety of roller coasters that I know of as an enthusiast of coasters. Only open mid spring through mid fall due to snow and bad weather.
@@sylfia159951 everyone has their own tastes for roller coasters, at least they have options. Most places don't even have that. Also some come for historic or one of a kind coasters, so that's something to think of also. Everyone has their own favorites so you do you.
Not technically in Salt Lake City, but you need to add the Livingston Aquarium and Thanksgiving Point to this list. Two of the most amazing places in the country.
ensign peak is a hike with a better view of the city if that’s what you’re looking for in a hike as it’s right behind the capitol. it’s about 45 mins each way and pretty steep but totally worth it. i recommend going at nighttime or sunset to see the city lights. if you want a more natural view, literally any canyon in the state has fantastic hikes with awesome views
The one time I've done that hike, we watched as some guy and his friends schlepped an entire dining room up to the top and set up a table and small kitchen so he could do a sunset meal for his girlfriend and propose to her. We didn't stick around to see the result, but hopefully she said yes. Truly though, the view from there is unbeatable as the sun goes down and the city lights up.
The salt lake city library is where my graduation ceremony is going to take place. You might ask why a Utahn is watching this video. Although i have been to many of these places i have never heard of some of them. I was curious about what places where on this list
I also highly recommend ZEST vegan restaurant in downtown. 21+. They have amazing drinks, beet juice is a bomb, Sunrise Thai dish is delish. See for yourself!
I'm a Utah local and forgot about a lot of these places- thank you for the reminder on how gorgeous the state is! I also HIGHLY recommend eating at Porcupine Pub and Grill (2 locations, one downtown and one at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon). They have an amazing selection of local brews on tap. Also Quarters downtown- it's a super fun Barcade that opens at 4 :)
To bad, there are so many places to get liquor in an LDS community. People don't seem to realize wether you're a member of the church or not, liquor 🥃 causes cancer, and people die everyday from from alcohol poisoning and liver failure from drinking! But know one does a thing about it!
It makes me to happy to hear someone talk highly of my home state. Not many people think its great here but i love it so much.

When I was in elementary school, we went on monthly field trips to the history museum, it is an unforgettable experience.
For food I would suggest - Red Iguana, Moochies, Kabob Stop, Bombay House, Bruges Waffles & Frites, Crown Burger, and Cafe Rio.
Crown burger ❤❤
And Spitz or Tuccis 💕
SB ESPN cafe rio isn’t specific to Utah though.
True it started in Utah in the 90's so I always think of it as local, but you're right they've expanded to a lot of different states now.
I love Warrens because of their fries and fry sauce
Well done. Thanks for posting.
Omg !! Do a video on park city utah ❤️ that’s where I’m at and wanna see what you come up with. Awesome video. It’s about 20 mins from Salt Lake City 🌃
I agree, do park city!
Right 😊😊😊
Can't afford it. But there are some good places to eat there if you ask the locals..Just for fun (Yuks and Giggles..) ruclips.net/video/LjxdVVIje8c/видео.html
20 min if you drive as fast as everyone else hahaha
For pizza, go to Fuego! The food is great.
when I am traveling or planning our travel, my go to is "through my lens".. they give great lists and quick overview, just what I needed
Dude where have I been?! I don't even know half these places 😭 I go to slc like every week and only know in and out 😂but thanks so much for the video, definitely gonna look into all this.
What a great video. We love to explore cities, and Salt Lake City was not even on our list, but we have just moved it to the top. Thank you.
You missed Squatters Pub, and The Pie, best pizza in the world. The University of Utah is also worth a visit. The light rail around the city is also easy to get around.
Tons of free museums and things to do. I love Utah!
At August I’m going to Utah for a week and I’m going to the Lagoon Amusement Park! And it’s going to be fun!! I never been there either!
How was your trip?
Thanks! You made an excellent informative video!
Caputos is good but the best sandwich is Grove's Market... only open for lunch and there is a great hot sauce section and it been around forever.
Very good video!! I will go to there tomorrow,. Thank you for the great video
Ive been to most of these places on field trips through my different school years 😂😂
Same!!
Same!!!
Holy mackerel 😳😲 simply breathtaking doesn’t look real more like a painting so many colors can’t imagine 🤷♂️🙋♂️😔 even doing nothing must be peaceful and like heaven relaxing calming in whatever work or thing your doing it’s balance dang
A few other fun stops are the Hogal Zoo and the Marine Water-life Aquarium!
This was a really good video, needed this before my trip there.
Thanks, for the video! I just went and ate at, Oh Mei ...great food and recommendation ❣❣
I want to add the Timpanogus cave in Timpanogus Canyon.... it is an amazing and steep hike and then the cave is about a half hour underground walk...
American Fork Canyon*
You did a really good job. I enjoyed your style very much. I am moving to Utah in a year I hope, and I appreciate this positive video about Utah. Thank you.
These are fine places to see. I grew up in Salt Lake and spent my first 30 years there. Might I recommend some sites as well. 1: the copper mine in the western mountains. 2: Snowbird ski resort in the summer and take the tram to the top. 3: Park City and the US Ski teams practice facilities.4: Iceberg drive in and get a shake.5: the soup kitchen in sugerhouse
Just came from your live after asking about Utah and man i dont know how i missed this! This helps us a ton in our upcoming trip
But there is a big one he forgot the world famous lagoon
Lagoon is in Farmington
lauren alexis it’s pretty close
@@elexismarie9603 Yes, but it is in Farmington..... lol
Antelope island is way farther away than Lagoon.
lauren alexis it’s like 10 min drive from salt lake tho
Thanks for the great list of ideas and for listing them out in the description. We're actually going to SLC on vacation and took notes! Video editing is a hobby of mine as well so I can appreciate what goes into producing content like this. Great work! I've subscribed.
I think you should explore Memory Grove Park and The International Peace Gardens
Thank you for this video, well done!
I mean....the Cannibal alone is worth a trip.
I would not say it has the widest variety. Only 2 or maybe 3 of the coasters are fun, probably not worth the price imo
@@sylfia159951 everyone has their own tastes for roller coasters, at least they have options. Most places don't even have that. Also some come for historic or one of a kind coasters, so that's something to think of also. Everyone has their own favorites so you do you.
Love your recommendations thanks!!
Not technically in Salt Lake City, but you need to add the Livingston Aquarium and Thanksgiving Point to this list. Two of the most amazing places in the country.
I live here and had never heard of some of the places mentioned so excited for summer TFS xoxox
ensign peak is a hike with a better view of the city if that’s what you’re looking for in a hike as it’s right behind the capitol. it’s about 45 mins each way and pretty steep but totally worth it. i recommend going at nighttime or sunset to see the city lights. if you want a more natural view, literally any canyon in the state has fantastic hikes with awesome views
Great video, thanks for sharing. Going to SLC in three weeks. I'll def check out your suggestions.
The salt lake city library is where my graduation ceremony is going to take place. You might ask why a Utahn is watching this video. Although i have been to many of these places i have never heard of some of them. I was curious about what places where on this list
Lots of the people watching this are from Utah lol
I actually live an hour away from Salt Lake and I always go to these places and I love it
I also highly recommend ZEST vegan restaurant in downtown. 21+. They have amazing drinks, beet juice is a bomb, Sunrise Thai dish is delish. See for yourself!
Great so cool. Beautiful..👍👏
