I am 100% likelier to watch in-video advertizements IN CHINESE. The last thing I want is to have my Chinese learning interrupted by a product I probably can't buy or don't want; but if it is in CHINESE then I would GLADLY listen to it and even recommend it to others!
I have been waiting for this! Teacher Grace, please to let you know that most of the students are in the range of either HSK 1-2 and HSK 3-4 (old HSK) and TOCFL equivalent. I myself currently studying at NCKU Taiwan and have Chinese level around HSK 3 going for HSK 4 (again old one). I hope you can do longer sentences, maybe 10 or 2 x 10 each week. We don't need very good edits or anything. We just need the numbers (knowledge of phrases) to be a lot since we all love watching Chinese and Taiwanese drama (and apparently, just knowing the vocabs for Chinese is really not enough).
Thanks for the great video production, very useful indeed. I liked your acting sketches, I am sure it is very hard work to produce but I think we all enjoy it and relate to it better than the TV drama clips, if you get too good at the acting stuff then someone from the TV production company will spot you and you will be in those TV dramas in the future. 👍❤️
Not a Mandarin learner but as a native speaker I’m so happy to find out our language has been introduced to so many good people here hahahaha! 小姐姐视频做得真棒啊!太有才了😁请继续传播中国文化!
I'm living in China and use/hear these phrases often. I learned more from communicating with others than studying. Great explanation and video! This is more practical Chinese for everyday communication.
Your videos are by far the best I've found online to learn Mandarin!! I'm always so blown away by how through and well-produced they are. Do you by any chance know how to speak Taiwanese and would you ever make videos on how to speak Taiwanese?
Not directly related to this video, but I want to tell you how much I appreciate your videos in general! There are so many Chinese-learning RUclips channels, but I've found close to none I enjoy watching. They tend to be either super clickbaity or low-effort. The more I look, the more your channel stands out for me. No clickbaity topics, a calm and well structured presentation, very clear and understandable explanations and really well done video production. I have watched all your videos, and not only have they been very helpful in learning, but also have greatly helped with keeping me motivated. I sometimes even rewatch videos of yours just because they are pleasant, even if I already know the topic. Anyway, in short, thank you for the videos!
Thank you very much Grace for producing this video. 太谢谢你了! I've been watching and enjoying learning Mandarin Chinese with your videos for a while. The reason why this video is so outstanding for me is because it's references to Chinese TV dramas. Being as I'm living in London - England I don't have the benefit of being surrounded by native mandarin speakers, so I'm watching a lot of Chinese TV dramas, which are a great listening practice and a very efficient way of learning Chinese. But due to the fact that the dialogues are spoken in normal speed, it is often challenging to understand it, this is exactly where your video builds the bridge. I can't thank you enough. Please make more of this kind of videos as it is such a valuable tool for everyone learning Mandarin Chinese. 麻烦你了 I can only encourage others mandarin Chinese learners to do this as well. Not only does it give you the language but you also learn a lot about Chinese culture as well, plus entertainment value is very high. The TV drama "Who rules the world" is probably the best TV series I've ever watched. I was literally glued to the chair.
OMG!!! I saw Victoria Song 宋茜 in this video, my favorite celebrity 謝謝你 💕❤️😍 I love your videos, I like the way you teach mandarin, you make it see so easy and understandable. Thanks for you hard work 💪👏💞💓
Wow I've never seen a video with over 1k likes that still has 0 dislikes....and I've been on RUclips since videos used to be rated out of 5 stars... Amazing job; very helpful!
Greetings from a fellow Taiwanese , glad to see a talented person introducing our language & culture to audience outside, subscribed. Keep up the good work! :)
Hi! I just wanna thank you for your videos. I wish I had discovered your channel before. THANK YOU to mix new words you gave in ONE examples, it is very helpful, cuz I have problems with memorizing words. Sending love💖
I totally agree. Learning Mandarin Chinese with your videos is great fun and full and your videos are full of useful and every day content. I really hope you will keep going for a long time, bringing use very useful study content.
Super useful and practical, and it’s nice to see your acting and drama clips again too! I previously read elsewhere that 怎麼了 means “what happened,” but the page I read didn’t elaborate that it’s often in the context of someone being upset or to respond to someone. Maybe dictionary definitions aren’t enough sometimes so it really helps that you explained the situations that these phrases are used in. Thanks as always Grace!!👍🙂
I've given up on dictionaries, as it is simply too incomprehensive. The translation and the actual meaning of phrases are quite often totally different. That is where teachers like Grace are a real blessing for us students of the Chinese language.
`I just found your channel yesterday, and I'm so glad I did! I am a Canadian teaching English in Taiwan, and I have been looking for Mandarin learning materials that are especially useful for people living in Taiwan. Thank you!
Thank you soooo much for this video. I really liked it!!! Sometimes it is very hard to memorise so many words and in the end you realise you can't make a meaningful sentence 😅. This is why I liked how you used everyday useful frases instead of "cut of sentences" from some books or dictionary. Thank you for puting in, parts of clips from Chinese dramas, to give us an example of how different people pronounce them. I also appreciate a lot that you write everything you say both in Chinese characters and pinyin. That really helps. 😉 Could you do more videos like this. And also did you hear of TPRS stories? I would love to listen to them, in Chinese, in you future videos. 🙏🙏🙏
Whoah didn't know there was "Zhen Jia 真假" as substitute for "Zhen De Ma? 真的吗" for "really". It also sounds so close to Korean "Jin jja 진짜" which means the same thing. Interesting
Are you ever planning to launch an online Chinese course through Skillshare or other platform? You have a great teaching ability plus video editing skills that would make for a great course.
each and every video of your has numerous and valuable leeson thanks a lot for your efforts i dont have words to describe your lovely hard work in teaching method nice way easy and understand
Wow. It’s amazing to see you have made this video based on our recommendation. Really appreciate it. We know you have put a lot of effort to collect drama clips. I have a suggestion for you. You can download Closed Captions Subtitles in .srt format of some dramas which are available on RUclips. Then search the word in English from that file, then it would be more easier to find and make more clips of examples and you don’t need to spend extra time on watching dramas. Duì le, We want more videos of dialogues from Drama example. 😊
❤As a learner of the fifth language (which is Chinese for me), I can absolutely ensure anyone here that watching subtitled movies or dramas is the best effective way both to master real-life language listening skills and pronunciation skills. Of couse, we do not take into consideration living with or speaking to native speakers.
I'm so glad you make this video... This video indeed useful for me even for those who are learning Chinese nowadays..Thank you Grace. I am waiting for u to release another video like this again...❤️❤️
The Rational Life (2021) is really good! It's also on Netflix. It's about this woman Shen Ruoxin, who works in management at a car manufacturing company in Shanghai. There are some comedic moments but the drama mostly deals with serious issues.
To be honest that "zen me la" is the very used words in Cdrama. When I watch Cdrama lastyear I got more chinese phrases, thanks to English Subtitles for that. I'm waiting for the word "Jiayou" which is also my fav word... Xiexie for ur update I learned so much. I can say that I can learn some mandarin while watching Cdrama since last year... but I cannot write in characters.
谢谢老师 for this useful video! While watching dramas another phrase I pick up often is 我先走了。 I have watched several dramas in the past months, but lately I cannot find anything. Can someone please reccomend some drama? 谢谢大家!
😀♥️ Grace! Great job as always The last part was priceless you broke your own heart had the violins playing in the background😆 gotta put guy you in the next video make it a part 2 to his heartbreak😂 #Grace4president👈
Good video! I've heard a lot of these phrases in chinese dramas... how is it used 你干嘛 Means "What are you doing" But I really don't know if is a polite way o informal...

Thank you for your kind words! Unfortunately, my Taiwanese is very poor 😂
I love how you used real life situation like in drama or skit. It's easy to understand 💙
I love how you show both Chinese writings so I can learn better the Taiwanese style

This.
I cannot afford a private tutor to help me, but I have the absolute best teacher available. I watch adverts and all as a way to say 谢谢你 老师。
Thank you Seth! 💛
Grace 老師是 such an angel. Her video lessons, her voice tone, her teaching methods are really suitable for students.

What are some Chinese TV Dramas you can recommend? I really like serious dramas with realistic romance
The Rational Life (2021) is really good! It's also on Netflix. It's about this woman Shen Ruoxin, who works in management at a car manufacturing company in Shanghai. There are some comedic moments but the drama mostly deals with serious issues.
I like 白夜追凶 day and night, it’s on RUclips and I think it’s been really great but it has little romance
I like „Insect Detective“ with Gala Zhang. It’s a mystery drama series with English subtitles. Or „Storm Eye“
How about 北辙南辕 / Crossroad Bistro (2021)?
微微一笑很倾城
Thank you 💓
I think "deng deng" can also be used at the end of a phrase to mean "et cetera" or "and so on," is that correct? Thank you for the excellent video.
Grace很棒👍👏.最美❤️
Beautiful video ❤️

So many of 'go ahead ', but you're always reliable 😘
Hope to see another vlog video... They help me so much! 😍 谢谢😁😁🌺
I love Victoria Song @1:24 💜 Thanks for referencing her in your video. LOL It was a surprise.
谢谢老师 for this useful video! While watching dramas another phrase I pick up often is 我先走了。

Good lesson! Not too much thinking, so quite relaxing! haha
谢谢你Grace!
that was a great episode! especially the last zoom call 😂
Good video!
I've heard a lot of these phrases in chinese dramas...
how is it used 你干嘛
Means "What are you doing"
But I really don't know if is a polite way o informal...
有意思 感谢你 - Grazie, video simpatico e istruttivo!
Thank you ☺️
谢谢谢谢你!Could you make more videos about dramas?
