I actually found this to be a really good video for practicing listening to Mandarin. I tried to see if I could understand you guys without turning on any subtitles.
Nice to see you both making this long-overdue video with each other. I think a monthly episode would be highly appreciated by all of your common followers. You are both really awesome and we all appreciate your hard work.
Taiwan has a whole plethora of interesting(?) words that describe men's style in relationships/life. Look out for words like 渣男,宅男,直男,媽寶,暖男. Those are all the ones I can think of off the top of my head
Thanks for giving this highly requested collab! Slangs can be hard to learn because they’re usually not in dictionaries, so it helps that you both explained all of these. And I like the shenanigans. I first finished all of Shuo’s video convinced that it was yours lol
I love how you guys conversed normally, without any subtle English words. It made me more comfortable with understanding normal Chinese conversations, I’m glad you guys acted like the camera wasn’t even there! This was really helpful in a lot of ways.
My favorite internet slang will forever be the "grass mud horse" lmao. Playing videogames with chinese population means you eventually see this one at some point haha
You two should collaborate more often. With both of you having a popular following doing this weekly at least will boost your views and subs. Besides it is good to hear two voices rather than one
I follow both since i startes to learn chinese two years ago! It is great see you in the same video! Great teachers together! Thank you for sharing so much! 💜💜💜
Singaporean Chinese here. You guys should do more of these! I've been watching more videos from Mandarin speaking creators and there's so much slang that I don't understand hahaha
Hello, can i ask if you can make a video about traditional chinese poetry? I love watching historical cdramas and i would like to learn some of their poems😊
Since I spend more time reviewing HSK 3 level, conversations like this I can understand at least 70% but only possible because of the characters, without them I would be O__________0
I really like this. I'm not learning Chinese YET (so much to do, and such and so forth, excuses) but I might. And this surely helps. So pinyin are latin alfabet transcriptions of chinese words and zhuyin is the Asian version of that? And what is the difference between the traditional and symplified?
I am a total beginner in learning Chinese, but I have been to China several times on buisiness, and I absolutely love the place and all the people I have met. Although all the people I worked with were good at English, I am now trying to understand more about the Chinese language. Your videos, are amazing. BUT I have just understood that you are from Tiwan NOT mainland China. Does this mean that your language or pronounciation will be a little different?
I don’t know who is prettier Grace or ship ship? Hard to decide. They are as attractive as each other. Actually they look like sisters although Grace has darker skin.
Why does Pinyin do a very sloppy job? Changes in tones for 不, 一 and Sandhi are sometimes stated & sometimes not. Separation of syllables, capitalization, second syllable (not) neutral tone vary depending on the source. Yet I don't wanna deal with Bopomofo & Wide-Gales is so archaic now.
She used Mandarin instead of Chinese? Anothee is, " We have a Mandarin dinner tomorrow". Is it correct? the used of Mandarin in a. sentence? Ganxie nin laoshi ♥️❤️❤️
It's been a long time since a Taiwanese is collaborating with someone from the motherland. Besides the political hostilities, you both are the same people after all. Wo ai ni Zhongguo ❤️

7:28 I can’t believe Chinese has a word for simp/simping too 😂 😂 I guess it’s a universal concept lol.

@@peters8699 yea chinese have those too c;

這部影片真好,所有的單詞比較簡單(除了俚語),另外你們如此一直用中文形容單詞就順便給觀眾很多好適合上中文課的句型和詞匯!謝謝!!!
More collabs with Shuo like this !! :)
Thanks for giving this highly requested collab! Slangs can be hard to learn because they’re usually not in dictionaries, so it helps that you both explained all of these.
And I like the shenanigans. I first finished all of Shuo’s video convinced that it was yours lol
I could watch you two chatting for an hour and not feel bored!
内卷 in fact is translated from a English word “involution”. As I see, it means that people compete violently but their rewards didn't increase.
Both of your channels have really helped me on my Chinese studies, so I loved seeing you two together. Hope you do more collaborations together!
I love how you guys conversed normally, without any subtle English words. It made me more comfortable with understanding normal Chinese conversations, I’m glad you guys acted like the camera wasn’t even there! This was really helpful in a lot of ways.
I dont know where i should watch first so I'll just like and leave a comment first.
😂😂 Good idea

Thank you guys for making these videos! Love them! :)
The correct characters for the “母汤” at 13:59 is “毋通”. In Hokkien, it is read as /m̩³³⁻¹¹ tʰaŋ⁴⁴/.
Amazing video !!
Really really appreciate it, 多谢你 ! 🤗
THATS SO COOL IM SUBSCRIBED TO BOTH OF YOU AND I GOT TWO NOTIFICATIONS FROM BOTH YOUR CHANNELS
My favorite internet slang will forever be the "grass mud horse" lmao. Playing videogames with chinese population means you eventually see this one at some point haha
這個影片好有幫助!你們應該一起拍更多的!
『吉』的用法我沒聽說過,呵呵~老了..., 但是『鏟屎官』的說法台灣我聽過很多次 :) 影片很自然有趣~ 🤗👍👍
哈哈我後來才知道「鏟屎官」在台灣也算常用,不過自己剛好都沒注意到 :))
@@GraceMandarinChinese 哦哦,可能因為我有養寵物,所以知道~哈~
Oh! My god Katrina!! It would be just perfect if the three of you make a video.

oh! I love both teachers 😍
it means "I've got no clue". think of a ball of yarn you need to unravel, you'll first need to find the loose thread, the "頭緒".
@@soulrhy Awesome, thanks 👍🏼
哈哈哈第三個心得好有趣!😆
蠻可愛的影片!『內捲』這個詞很有趣!這是表達承擔太多任務的概念很巧妙的詞。我一直在想我們英文有沒有同意思的這麼好個詞,想不到。但是我們有同樣的現象!
It's a borrowed word from english: involution
One of the best😍
Wow, Grace. You sound so different when you're talking to another native speaker 🌞
I know 😂 when teaching, I speak standard Mandarin, but when I’m chatting, my Taiwanese accent just comes out naturally lol

Can anyone tell me wht’s da shao? Som1 replied to my insta story n I’m not sure if it’s bad or good
I don’t know who is prettier Grace or ship ship? Hard to decide. They are as attractive as each other. Actually they look like sisters although Grace has darker skin.

I just watched half of this lesson in shuo channel.
