@@JJpaa I think it has more of an impact on younger people of Japan than in other countries. It is a japanese game after all and in the early days a lot of final fantasy games were badly translated or hard to get a hold of in the west. FF5 didn't even come out outside of Japan until 1998, after FF7 did. While in Japan it first came out in 1992. It would have been pretty awesome for a young japanese gamer playing the original in 1992 compared to someone playing the awkwardly translated western release in 1998 or the later versions for the first time. To a modern gamer playing for first time FF5 would be a cute but somewhat dated rpg. But for someone playing in 1992 it would have been pretty ground breaking experience.
@@BVargas78 I played said -probably awkwardly translated- FF5 version on GBA around 07-09 in Denmark. The game was engrossing, touching and fun. I always get uplifted by this song, and am awed over the heroic sacrifices of Galuf and Gilgamesh. While it didn't have the graphics of PS2 games at the time (I played FF12 before FF5!). FF5 is still my all-time favorite RPG. Not just JRPG. Straight up favorite RPG. There's many things one could argue it could do better, but I dare postulate that it was exactly because of the constraints of the time that FF5 was able to show such amazing creative competence from the developers, both artistically, musically, gameplay-coherence with the aforementioned, and narratively. I don't think there is an FF-game that does characters better than FF5. But maybe I've overlooked a gem. :)
This is probably one of the best orchestrated covers of any FF song I've heard. They all try to change shit to add more flare, or just get it wrong and drown out certain instruments or articulations of said instruments. This is pretty pleasing to listen to.
I always thought that was weird. The white mage garment was inherently feminine starting FF1, but it changed in FF3 to be ambiguous since characters had confirmed genders. Faris is FF5, so would it really be that weird for a female to dress as a pirate, when shes dressing as a knight, also inherently male? I grew up as FF5 came out and faris being a woman was obvious from the sprite and her breasts, and honestly didn't surprise me. But i guess back then people did get bullied for being that way. I'm glad FF5 still holds up despite the piss poor story and development, because the battle system makes up for it, making it one of the funnest FF in the franchise, just like how FFx-2 story is absolute shit, but the gameplay is so dynamic that you could play it for years and just skip the story
This is nice, combining a lot of my favorite kinds of instruments. Good thing I explore the deeper parts of youtube to find underrated channels such as yours.

It's been some time that I listen to your videos... and I ask myself if you have any plan to do a version of Dear Friends. I am very curious how it would sound like.
Hi, I'm a Japanese FF player who really enjoyed 5 in my childhood. No words can describe how wonderful your works are...
this is wholesome
Agreed
why would anyone care if ur are japanese chinese or vietnamese?

you should try to listen on OC/DC version of Final Fantasy Orchestral theme..
"Add flare" no pun intended.
Well-said.
This makes GIlgamesh sound like a gallant knight and I love it.
Best arrangement of this tune.
And now, we fight like men! And ladies! And ladies who dress like men! For Gilgamesh... IT'S MORPHING TIME!!!
I can't not hear that in John DiMaggio's voice.
@@LegendofLuigi703 why would you NOT want to?! :D
@@NightSprinter Because look at his face. John DiMaggio is a beautiful man and his voice is like an angel

1:40 OMG this amazing part!
Thanks for helping us relive some great moments in videogames history.
Thanks for listening :)
100/10, this is so epic
YES I AM THE ONE WHO WAS WAITING BEHIND THIS DOOR!!!!
I already thought that you were not going to come
Might be one of the best FF covers ever!
Square should consider hiring you, man. You're that good.
They really should
This is one of the greatest songs from Final Fantasy, I was so stoked they added it on FF14 years ago
I'm like number 800! And I truly like what I hear! This has to be the best version I've ever heard of this theme!
I FORGOT IT WAS SEVEN THAT WAS BEING REMADE AND THOUGHT THIS WAS AN OFFICIAL ORCHESTRATION ITS SO GOOD
This is by far and away my favorite version of this amazing tune.
Until you hear that japanese guitarist who killed every FF track
i can hear the slashes, "hash, hash....hash, hash!". wonderful rendition.
bro.. this is beautiful

I must say, pleasant to the ear, sounds extremely professionally done.
You want to cry it's so good.
This is phenomenal. You are incredibly talented.
This song makes me want a 3d Remake for V like how VII is getting... they should do VI also.... and VIII...
They should've done V and VI when III and IV were done!
yupp
Complete with the pub lap dances XD
VIII is kinda bad, but maybe thats why its the perfect candidate for a rerelease..
@@JASpiring but they should do iv with realistic character proportions. I know at least I’m not a fan of that “huge head small body” character look.
man, you are awesome! this is a masterpiece, keep up the good work, FFV is one of the best games of all time
Best arrangement ever
ogni volta che l'ascolto L'EPICITà SALE AL MASSIMO🤩🤩🤩
bringin' back memories for sure...so many thanks...
Thankyou Yoichi for introducing me to this masterpiece
You defeating the whole crew of Orchestra Group
Amazing orchestra composition thank you so much God bless
4 People died on the big bridge
Ayyy. Some good remix right here.
Excelent arrangement bro! Keep it up!
An awesome work on this emblematic FF V track, powerful and beautiful as your other arrangements :)
i love it! after playing world of FF Gilgamesh definately left a good impression on me and especially this theme
Beautiful
Merveilleux !!
My head just exploded.
The first remake of this song, I really like.
Extended version pleaseeee
This is excellent. This is what should have been in the new game. Much, much better. Many of the fan-mades usually are.
This was FANTASTIC!!!!! Subscribed! ^^
not big fan of FF but this version is sick , love it
俺が悪かった…4人で来られちゃ…手も足も出ないぜ…ってのは嘘だけどな!

ITS GREAT
Amazing.
This is so good, i hope some real orchestra play this arrangement live
this arrangement for super smash bros 5 or switch or whatever
Exactly what I was thinking, maybe in a brinstar level.
sadly still only FFVII battle and boss themes in Ultimate
Or Kingdom Hearts.
This would have been awesome in Smash Ultimate.
@@AznOmega Maybe when we get an older Final Fantasy Character (maybe Cecil, Cid, or Gilgamesh) they'll add this track(and lot's more)
There's no better version.

Wow. Your version of battle with gilgamesh is really fucking heavy
This track should be in the FFV pixel remaster instead , lol
Can a flute actually do those arpeggios in the intro?
Gilgamesh’s Kingdom Hearts theme
Definitely. The part at 0:09 sounds very KH-like.
Nobuo Uematsu no maho ^^
5 and 7 are the 2 best games in the series imo
Probably how Gilgamesh imagines his theme sounding like
Now we can fight like Men! and ladies! And ladies who dressed like men!
12 peoples dislike is eated for Enkido
Is this free to use?
Why am I imagining Dung Defender from Hollow Knight? 🤔
Time to steal gingi armour from Gilgamesh
i wonder if the drum were less "pop-y" would it be much more epic
