A friend told me to come to her car after a Bible study to hear a cassette. It was in the 1970s and I was a new Christian. It was Don singing this song. Loved him ever since! I got to see him a couple of times in person too.

Anyways, today (December 30, 2018) I was reading my bible and was sad because of the terrible way they treated Jesus when they crucified him. Let me tell you, I was saved March 1979 Went to a Christian bk store to buy my 1st Bible KJV and bought the album Don Francisco He’s Alive and it has so many wonderful songs Well, I had never heard of him at the time of purchase being a brand newly born again Christian It was the Lord that led me to get it
Saved four years before "He's Alive" came out (1980). Love it, love it, and still love it!!!! His grace is forever all. Jesus is more alive than ever in this 'ole man's heart. I'm a living testimony. Praise be to God forever and ever! Amen.

This song is so incredible. The first time I heard it was on Easter Sunday about 25 years ago. Now, at Christmas time, I am remembered that we celebrate the birth of our Savior only so that He could die and be resurrected.

Love how this song unfolds in story form… makes it so relatable… how Peter talks about how he felt after the crucifixion… his disappointment in himself for his betrayal & how he & the disciples were not joyful, expecting a resurrection but were fearful & hiding… & then finds out Jesus is Alive! Love all of his songs because they are stories we all can relate to!

Back in 1981 Don Francisco came to our little church in N. Florida and I fell in love with his music and bought his record He's Alive! Time passes so very quickly. Now we are all staying ready for our Messiah's return! God bless you all!

My daddy sang this song every year at church at Easter. This song and my daddy’s voice was and still so beautiful it never failed to make me weep. Still makes me cry hearing this and remembering him doing this. He’s still living and I think I’m going to ask him to sing this again for me and I’m going to join in with him. I need to. He’s not going to be here always and I know that a huge chunk of my heart will die when he goes. It’s breaking my heart already just to think of him not being here.
I use to sing this in churches and youth camp when I was so much younger, I went my own direction not much different than the prodical son, thank GOD for HIS mercy to lead me back, I still haven't felt worthy to sing for HIM, I know HIS forgiveness is unending, I shouldn't struggle like I do with myself, I would that I could use any gift I have left only for JESUS, I would appreciate prayers from his people to give strength for all HIS children to do HIS will, we need HIS power so much in this time of darkness. Don Fransisco along with Keith Green were my "saints" when I first became a Christian in the late 70s. I was lucky to listen to their songs like it was Gospel. I wondered in confusion for years after that, but today I am so grateful to God for both of them, they sowed the Gospel in my heart thought their music and lyrics

When I first heard Don, I was not a fan...since my choice genre was "real" music..that genre was metal and loads of screaming....hahaha, I was abviously lost. Although I did not give this a chance...it stayed with me...and now being 30 years of age...I am a Don guy, but better than this...I am a child of the Most High Elohim. Blessings in Jesus Name.

I always have a hard time each Resurrection Sunday with the reminder of this man suffering so much. He rose again I know, and Ascended to Heaven, but it is still hard to stomach a Human Being Son of God being treated so horribly and for me at that. Thank You Jesus!!

Wow, what great memories. I remember I was probably 8 years old as a little kid in Colorado and Don Francisco came and sang this song live for us at our little methodist church! I was just in awe of such a powerful song glorifying God!

Jesusprincess There's no need for sadness. Christ died for you but rose again 3 days after. He proved God is more powerful than death and hell. He came in the flesh to show us the way, the truth and the life. We don't have to hurt or suffer anymore. We can cry out to Jesus and He will be there for us instantly! He will return for us soon decending from the clouds on His great white horse and we will not know sorrow or pain any more. But until then I and all who read this will pray for your healing and strength in Christ :)

I met Don Francisco 50 years ago back in 1972 in Louisville, KY when he was playing in a small upstairs room at my friend's club called "Friend in Hand". Since it was just the two of us upstairs we got to speak quite a bit. I am so happy for Don's success and wish him the best, always!
