We had a set on the stage, and I traveled from point to point of the set as I sang. Wow, that's one long song! And I had to sing it from memory. But I got through it. And for dramatic effect, when the song reached the closing chorus of "He's alive! He's alive! He's alive and I'm forgiven, heaven's gates are open wide!", I had the choir enter from the back down the three aisles, joining me in that chorus. It was really powerful. Brought down the house. No, *I* did not bring down the house, God did.

Don Francisco has been a mainstay of Christian folk for decades. I haven't found a Gaither album with this on it, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. However, if you love this song, I would recommend Don's "The Early Works" album. It's one of my all-time favorites. Absolutely spirit-raising.

This is the perfect resurrection song! It moves me every time I hear it...especially sung by Don Francisco himself.
Don Francisco has been a mainstay of Christian folk for decades. I haven't found a Gaither album with this on it, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. However, if you love this song, I would recommend Don's "The Early Works" album. It's one of my all-time favorites. Absolutely spirit-raising.

This is a powerful song because it Glorifies the risen SAVIOUR EVERYTHING WE HAVE HINGES ON THE RESURECTION. GOD HAS SHOWED ME WE CAN NEVER MAKE TO MUCH OF THE LORD JESUS.
My father used to play guitar and sing, for the church. He practiced this song often in his (and mom’s) bedroom. I am an atheist now, but this song still holds a special place in my heart. Happy Easter to those who still believe!
It's so easy to lose your faith these days. Between fighting a war and going through a divorce I lost my faith over a decade ago. I'm just now finally finding my way back over the past few months. He really is the good shepherd, I'm sure He's chasing after you right now just as He was me. When He finds you I hope you can put aside your pride and shame and let Him welcome you home as he has me. Praying you find your way back. My path sounds similar to yours. I questioned everything I had been taught to believe and ran from it. I had my own path to follow. Don Francisco, Terrie Talbot, John MIchael Talbot… just to name a few, were the story-tellers of CCM back in the day. Their music was so powerful and transforming. Anointed by the Holy Spirit no doubt about it!
