@@DocWolph fairly familiar with NERF bars from ATV racing but used to seeing them set up with netting . Brush Guards and tree kickers as some seem to call them are a more recent discovery to me through watching UTV content . Thanks for the info !
I use a dusty motors mesh cover for my SCT. Would seem to seal up better against the chassis and helps lets air in to the motor and ESC. A 'flow' style body is probably your best bet for parachuting.
I have these and a TopTubz, I kept the nerf bars, on damp grass I’ve found the difference in yuk filling the chassis was amazing. Now I’ve changed to a different body that sits on the fenders, I’ve barely seen any detritus getting in. So I’m honestly shocked by your findings. Although I do not tend to run circuits, so don’t get behind other vehicles throwing rooster tails.
G'day from OZ. The inner fenders meant that once the sand and dirt was inside the fenders, the sand and dirt stayed there and was not flushed out again while you drove - THAT'S why you had more. The trick would be to make it MORE dirt-proof where you can - at the front and inside the wheel wells that the current fenders do not cover. I'm thinking the rubber from the innertube of a bike tyre, cut down and temporarily or permanently fixed - whatever is appropriate?! I'm going to get some Arrma 1/10 SENTONS for my kids, and try the fender kit with tyre rubber where appropriate and see how that goes. Catch'a, mic b
Hey Joe. For dirt protection, hot tubs rc has a great product but hurry cause I think the guy may be closing up soon as production costs have risen. Also that otays aluminum slipper is recommended. Nice upload bro
Ive got these on my Senton , there great particularly in the mud , if you run it in the wet a lot you can duck tape the gaps between the shock towers but it does reduce cooling
I.think.the fenders are pretty good, I just think sand gets into anything, sand is hard to keep out.... probably pretty good for regular dirt and debris.... definitely better with the fenders than without...
Good idea, BUT NEEDS refinement in a bad way! WHY not add $5 & include longer body mounts (WE know other manf makes something that WILL work🤷♂️). The whole cut brazing rod to 'heat up' is easily beaten by a drill bit, or just include nothing & print 'lengthen the body pin holes'. Instructions sound sketchy to me.
Yeah , think the long bolts are so you can keep the side bumpers on ?
Just for future reference, the "side bumpers" are known as "Nerf Bars" or "Brush Guards". IT is terms borrowed from full-sized Off-road racing.

They work great for all the crap in my front yard!
I prefer the tray covers JConcepts makes. Its molded to fit the top of the chassis pan and not allow Anything at all in. I have it on my slash 4x4.
I think you are supposed to keep the side-bumpers..?

I've got these on my slash and I did a video on them, I was really impressed with them. You're meant to put the spacers on top of the side bumpers.
Oh ok
The instructions don’t say to remove the side protection.
Imma order r those on your link that's awesome I really needed those fenders also allot easier to drill that hole open with a small bit.. Great video
You need to keep the sides on also

I wonder if the rock guards from the Typhon 6s would bolt on first of all, then help those rear a arms from rock and debris.
Will be interesting to see how they do when the track is wet.

I’ve been wanting to try the scorched RC wings setup or inner fenders for the traxxas slash 4x4 .lcg
This is the first for me, I think I need to seal them up a bit better
Have u thought about one of the sct bodies that have cutouts to minimize kiteing? I think your ur fellow Floridian body and tire maker makes one!
Or make a wind tunnel with a fog machine and u could probably optimize the stock body airflow
I've got them on my slash and I did a video on them on my RUclips channel, check it out.

Your suppose to keep the nurf bars under
That one looks pretty easy compared to the infraction and especially the Mojave ones they make. I needed up throwing the ones for the Mojave away
Sorry I have been up to my neck in feral cats and kittens 😢so I have not checked in for about a month but I’m binging on the videos I missed
Wonder if those will fit my Senton as im using Granite tires on my truck? Anyone have an idea about that?
You need a peice across the front. When it's eating dirt it has to go somewhere
Just watched your video it's alsome mate 👍👌
very cool
👍👏👏👏
Great review 👍🏾It saved me some money. The inner fenders is a bust I'd say too.
I think my issue was the front open area.
Wouldn’t it make sense to drill the hole for body clips…🤷♂️
I use a chassis dust cover on my senton and it works great

MAYBE IF u could attach the innerbody TO the body instead of the chassis?🤷♂️😜🤯
Maybe it's because your buddy's truck was upside down more than yours.
Those stock tires are a rip off.. as soon as they blow up get some faze st's or something better and it's a night and day difference..
Typical. Just like a "waterproof tent" that doesn't let any water out... none of the dirt that gets past those fenders can get out. 🤭👍🤭👍🤭👍
