Great walkthrough and loving the background music. Though I wish they'd flip the servo upgright so minor adjustments with the servo horn would be less painful and also less prone to pebbles getting jammed in that exposed corner.
This video will be very helpful to me tomorrow as i install a new servo for the first time ever. I'm a noob and all I've ever replaced are diffs. I got a 35kg for a replacement, steel gears... Thanks for the helpful guide. Because Arrma mounted it upside down, it's a lot easier for me to follow this guide rather than have to follow a different guide, just upside down. Don't know why Arrma did it this way, but it was probably somehow cheaper, since their other puzzling choices (plastic gears) can be explained by thrifty-ness.
Wow, way easier with the correct drill bit. When I upgraded my Mega to a brushless it took forever because I was doing it all by hand... lol Good investment.
Just had the servo go out yesterday on my arrma granite s3. Thanks for the video, explained the process clear and easy to comprehend. Just hit the subscribe and notification button, lookin forward many more videos. Thanks Rob!
Awesome video! For the tabs on the servo to fit, I found it easier to just use a file to make the notches on the servo mount deeper so no cutting is needed in the future if I ever install another servo.
This video is incredible. Thanks you Razor RC. I'm installing the Hot Racing aluminum version so no cutting of the servo saver, but this video helped with my vorteks swap!
So here's a question for ya, with the receiver buried that deep in the car, is there a remote binding plug? Seems like if you want to use a new transmitter and need to get to the binding port it would be a MAJOR thing for something so simple.
Wow the timing just replaced my son's servo last night. Might find a few tips to make it easier in the future and with the experience I have already I'm sure this will be helpful! Thanks Razor 👊
Nice guide. On your previous video I said I used a "yeahrun" servo saver from aliexpress. Quick feedback : it's garbage : the spring keeps poping out and it gives a sluggish feeling on the steering. Keep away from it. Kimborough seems simpler, is cheap and I can find it in a local hobbystore (arrma 25t is out of stock everywhere in my country). I'll give it a go ;)
Do you find the kimbrough servo saver makes the steering better as i have a kraton 4s v2 and when i go to steer on short grass the servo saver just gives and hardly no steering so im looking for a much tighter servo saver
I have a new Arrma Outcast 4s v2.5 and the steering hardly works with the front-end stationary and on the ground. If i pick up the front end, steering works fine. Seems like a weak factory servo. Would this setup have enough power to last and turn this heavy pig? or is there a better servo worth trying.
So the old servo saver had a top and bottom arm to mount the drag link, but your new one doesn't, it only holds on one side, does that mess up the way the thing works, the old servo saver allowed the screw to just act like a pin, but the new one also puts a torsion load on the screw. Seems like that would cause extra drag in the assembly.
Hello! Sorry if my question is dumb, I’m just curious why you chose that servo saver instead of the Arrma servo saver? I purchased a new servo but didn’t realize I also have to buy the servo saver, so I’m trying to pick one. Thank you for your time. Your videos are really helpful
My Big Rock steering quit, no collision. Replaced with new servo, no response. Radio is working but steering does not respond. What am I missing? Cheers!
I don't really know what I'm doing but I installed a new servo and now when I plug it in to the receiver it just turns hard right... Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for this video, it was a big help. My servo went out on my BigRock. I got a similar servo that you recommended and used the included servo saver. Although I did have to grind it down to fit.
Hello did you use a servo tester before hand or only how you centred it on this video? My Granite servo crapped out so I’m putting in a DSSERVO 25KG and this is my first time wrenching on it. Thanks 🙏 much love Cheers 🍻 brother
did you have any issues after installing after marke servo. I put one in my wifes vorteks, and now the steering is backwards and it turns on its own without me turning the wheel.
@@RazorRC did it twice, binded and recalibrated both ways with avc and turning avc off. done everything i can think of. could it just be a faulty amazon servo. I used a brand called Zoskay that a buddy recomended
also ive read of other people having this issue but no one has ever updated on forums to say if they have ever figured it out. im so lost on this. and dont wanna go back to the spektrum servo
So, this is what I did and I think it worked. I went through the complete bind procedure with the dx3. That set my full throttle, full brake, full right, full left and done. Even though the steering was backwards, I went through it that way anyway. I then switched the st/r button to correct the steering direction. After that I went through the process of setting the steering end points. It seemed to work for me anyway. Not sure if the avc is going the correct way or not, but it seems to be. @@joeloewe8289
Any AVC issues? I did this to my vorteks 3s with a 25t tactic and my truck just turns in whatever direction it wants and it keeps going. I turned avc all the way down on the radio to see if it would stop and it did, but the steering is a bit slow compared to the original 23t servo.
I have a senton 3s v3 and I ordered a savox 25t servo as the replacement for the stock one, can I reuse the original servo saver on the truck or do I need to order a 25t?
Good video. I appreciate the fact that you used the correct tooth servo saver. I have seen some clowns just smash the 23 tooth on a 25 tooth servo. @ RCusa201

MST makes an awesome saver as well with 3 different springs and options for 23 or 25t servos

Can i use the old servo saver i got stock with my car if its in pretty much brand new condition

I just put it in mine..along with a 35kg Amazon Special servo...and it is better..but not great...
The K4V2 has the worst steering out of all my RCs.
My steering servo has just gone on mine wasn't sure how to do it , your video is spot on thankyou so much

Kinda confused why you took the whole part out to do that but it worked so that all that matters 👍🏾

how did that servo fit stalk servo saver, I have red version but is more tooth on it?

what drill are you using? I want one
How is this servo holding up? Need a new one for my big rock I’m shopping around 👀

read the manual, you have to rebind and recalibrate the receiver. its a long process.

do i need replace servo saver if i install the 25kg servo

There’s a special bind procedure for the Vorteks if you change the servo, it’s in the manual.

You need a 25t
I watched the video a second time just for the catchy music. "Everything's Tuesday" by Wyshm Gosselin.
followed this to a tee and fit awesome!
Thanks for the video brother
Dope video thanks man now I can finish y build
Thanks razor glad you did the video
Great how-to video Razor. Thank you for posting !
very very helpful, fixed my granite today 👍 thx
Great to hear!
Gives me some hope with mine that fried last week as I didn't now about steering adjustments intill it was to late 😅😅😂😂
I was waiting for you to connect servo back so I could replicate as struggling on my kraton and video ended nooooooo lol
Thank you 🙏🏼
Good guide.
Poor protection of screws of motor mount and servo mount from rocks, sand, water and other dangers.

lol I will need this video soon when I get my senton 🤣
I was hoping you showed the install....bummer
show it work

Can do without the Irritating music
Hey I’m late but I actually loved the music.
All that shit for a servo lol wow
I know right. Seems like too much hacking just for a servo replacment.
