Nice! And yes, that is Shiocton Range. I love that place! I drive over an hour to get there, but it is the only public range that I am aware of that has that kind of distance.
Now I just have to play the waiting game for the bullet seating tests. My range is flooded out. Has been for a few weeks. Hopefully I will be able to shoot next week.
I am using the Frankfort Arsenal Intellidropper. I set it to 0.1 grain under desired charge and trickle it to what I want with the RCBS Powder Trickler.
@@mattsreloadingbench I am not familiar enough with that scale to say one way or the other but my RCBS charge master measures only to the .1 g. I did a test with H4831 for my 300 WSM. I threw charges on the charge master and confirmed the weights on a Creedmoor Sports TRX-925 that measures to the .01 gr. The results shocked me. A target weight of 63grs had weights from 62.86 to 63.1. I have not calculated the SDs of the weights yet. Depending on the resolution of your scale, I don’t think you are getting the results you want by testing charge weights that are .1gr apart in my opinion. The SD of the charge weights will be too high to see the results you want
Looks like you are getting muzzle velocities better than projected (at least from the Hodgdon 2023 load data). Are you using Federal 210M primers? Barrel length? Great series with Staball HD powder. Looking forward to seating depth video!
I am using Federal GM210M Primers. 24"barrel. I have the seating depth tests loaded up, but unfortunately mother nature has been running a muck. The wolf river runs past the range that I shoot at and the entire range is completely under water! Now I have to just be patient.
I thought that was Shiocton, then I saw it on your range card! Nice video! Have been having good luck with Staball 6.5 in my 338 Sherman as of late.

Good stuff. Stay safe & enjoy. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Nice, I missed this when it came out. It looks like you're on to something. Good deal.

So my guess from your Part 1 video was correct - between 58.7-59.3 - nice. I'm really interested in this powder. It seems pretty decent.
I liked the powder. It got me out to a mile and I liked the consistency.
What are you using to weigh your powder charge?

Will this powder work with a lighter bullet say an lrx
I have bo idea. I would refer you to the hodgdon website for load data on that.

So far this powder is pretty good for 300 Norma, 84.6gr 2974fps.
Thanks awesome!
