Truly magnificent video, my wife's grandfather designed and built the hydro dam across the Danube and it provides all the electricity for Romania and the former Yugoslavia. Her father continued in the same industry and now every water company in the UK uses his water loss computor programme. Keep up the good work big man.
Now that's a true Yako video....lovely landscapes, Castles/Ruins and fantastic historical facts and stories....oh yeah a picture of a beautiful bike.Good luck with your venture in Forest Plantation sounds like an interesting plan.
I love watching your videos, not only because it’s cycling (a must!) and beautiful scenery but you’re a cycling encyclopaedia!! How do you know all that stuff!
Thanks Yako, great ride and some great stories. I have finally secured a ebike - Argon 18 Subito e-gravel which is X35 based. Lots of fun and already going places i wouldn't normally go!
Great stuff Dean! Argon 18! Fancy! Didn’t know that bike. The X35 is pretty reliable, never had much wrong with mine. The FB group ‘Orbea Gain and all Mahle-based ebikes Club’ can be a useful source of info, recommended.
Brilliant video , I'm currently cycling on the alps2 ocean trail in South Island of New Zealand The top of which is the Waitaki hydro system , we are traveling with my Buddy that worked on it in the 1970s It's Autunm here and we've had some lovely weather , Chürs Ted
Who needs lbs and Kgs when you can relate to a catfish. Oooh I dropped a dorsal fin this month. Geat vudeo and sound spot on. Interesting stuff. Thank you.
lovely video, I learnt some stuff too :) You need someone to give you a full suspension Mtb for some of those roads. Thanks again for another interesting and mind capturing video.🤩🤩
One of your best. I really appreciate the history background. Wife enjoys your witticisms. Not sure if I agree with your dog/bike observations- I think they chase cyclists for the sport and bragging rights.....
Excellent ride and another fantastic and informative video as always, pity about the camera battery, have you now got your heart issue under control. Enjoy your Sunday.
Thanks for asking Terry…sadly not, awaiting a test/minor procedure but the waiting list is long. Have to continue to take things easy for the time being unfortunately. Re the battery - I need to stop being so forgetful! Hoping I’ll be able to make a perfect vid one day!
Well who needs a bicycle less than a fish. Funny, there are massive catfish in the Mekong, though I’m told lower environmental flows caused by Chinese Hydro Schemes have seen less of those.
Dear Yako e er thought of carrying a power bank for bike camera ,camera on your chest and the lead to your pocket .Insert that system with my fly 6 brilliant a d your video's are always exceedingly good.j robo
I probably should carry a power bank anyway John, but this ride I simply forgot my spare battery (and not for the first time!). Thanks for the support, much appreciated.

Impressive stuff! I do love water (rivers etc…as a drink I find it less alluring…) and thank you.

Glad you enjoyed it George. Yup, looking forward to raising trees, easier than the goats I expect…
Nice video mate, great work, excellent history lesson and fantastic views!
Cheers Simon! I nearly posted it last night - at nearly 45 minutes long! GladI reviewed it, it was like a history lecture (more than it was already!)
Good to see you back 🙂
Thanks buddy.

That’s kind Mike - but I did have crib notes of half of it on a bit of paper! Thanks for the support!

South Island is where I would live, all things being equal. A truly wonderful place. Lucky you!! Enjoy the rest of your trip!
