Very underrated pistol. Conceals OK, accurate and super reliable. I added pearce grip mag extenders to my flush fit mags. Hard to find a better EDC for the price.
It’s built like a tank! Is it heavy, yes! Is it dependable, yes! Is it reliable, absolutely! Is it stylish and the latest thing? No, and exactly why you need one!
XD’s are now mostly marketed as a budget line with a single magazine, maybe under the Defender name, no accessories. At the same time Springfield has a free magazine promotion that is very generous and big retailer prices are pretty good.
I have a xd9 mod 2 I bought back in 2016 and I've never really cleaned it and fired thousands of rounds (mainly steel case) and never had a single problem with reliability.
Fantastic video!!! If you like a longer barrel then I think you would certainly like the Glock G48. It’s a 4.2” barrel & it’s my current rotate carry with my Springfield Armory XD-9mm. Both are absolutely fantastic pistols!!! I subscribed and liked!!!!👍👍
Great video! I have an XD40, and I noticed that when you dry fired the trigger, that after coming to the wall, there was some movement (creep) after the wall. I guess these triggers vary, or I got lucky, but once you hit my wall, there is no creep (trigger movement), just the crisp snap of the trigger. I can't even make it move, even if I do it super slow.
@@ballisticturd I should have added that I agree with you about reset not being important on a carry gun. Most likely in a self-defense scenario, you are not going to ride the reset, but let the trigger completely out. By the way I just did 50 dry fires on my XD40, and was able to induce some creep a few times, but not nearly as much as yours.
The only thing that turned me off with all XD pistols I’ve shot with (9mms) is their trigger pull of 5.5-6lbs. I’d prefer 4.5lb-5lb. Definitely not a deal breaker.
I will be a first gun buyer or user and I got to try these out during my gun safety and shooting in person course. I'd say I liked this gun and I really liked the feel of the Glock 19! I would like this gun for the gun safety features but I might end up getting the Glock 19
I've got the exact gun you do there I love it! It's a bit chunky for a subcompact carry gun but it's reliable I've never had a malfunction to date and I've shot just about every type of ammo from nozzler to cheap dirty bulk ammo and it eats all of it! I've not used and crazy ammo like the rip ammo but I'm sure it would cycle it fine as well. Is there much better gun for the money absolutely but it will get the job done I only carry it with the extended mag I have huge hands 😂. I'm trying to find a company like Taran tactical to do it up custom if you know of any let me know!

Great gun. Got it over 10 years ago, shot it last today. This gun runs acceptably and is great and safe for carry. Never gonna sell my trusty xd9
This is a great extreme duty firearm XD . It can shoot just about anything you put into it . An absolutely great gun to shoot 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

This was my first gun and it served me well.

Why are you using a loaded magazine? 🤦🏻

Thansk for leaving a comment. I'm glad you put that gun to good use!
The flush fitting smaller magazine is 13 round capacity, not 12 round as you stated.
I just got my xd9 subcompact with 6 mags and a pistol pouch for 400$
Got this for New years from my uncle lol
Why press check when u have a bullet indicator
I’ll get one in the future and it’ll be with Pearce Grips on the flush magazines. Only makes sense in CA. 😉

@@gracedagostino5231 yeah personally I think reset is just not that important
