Great demonstration. This is my CCW and i've fired off thousands with no issues on this gun. It's very reliable. Very safe. Easy to clean and maintain. I love Springfield!
Bought mine back in 2018 and really like it. The raised chamber indicator is really convenient in dark environments. Also just found out the olight pl mini 2 fits it!
this gun was my first handgun purchase and ive been extremely happy with it, it shoots very accurate, takedown and cleaning is super easy. The only con i have is weight and comfort for edc, i grabbed a 16 round mag (if you wanna save some $ buy a regular service model magazine and use the sleeve from your 10 round). overall the gun has been reliable, ive only put about 400 rounds through it with one failure to strike, struck all other fmj rounds just fine.
Had mine since 2009, thousands of rounds and a few pistol courses. Only issue was the roll pin going through the top cracked and I replaced it with a heavy duty one from brownells. They may have fixed that issue by now. Other than that, it’s a great “glock” alternative.
I just picked one of these up. I also prefer the zip case. It’s a decent gun. Good for the price. But it won’t be replacing my p365 as my carry gun. Just fun to add it to the collection. I am annoyed it only came with one magazine. Also, the take down is more similar to Sig than it is to Glock.
@@balboawelds6006 I love mines. It’s nice and compact. And it’s pretty accurate. I bought extra magazine the one with the extended grip. Perfect for my hands. My hands isn’t huge either. Good luck man, let me know how you like it!
Springfield XD 9 SC vs Glock 26 vs S&W M&P Shield specifically for concealed carry. Which would you choose based on comfort of carry, print while carrying, and comfort in hand? Thank you.
tbh the springfield because ive had them all and the weight is a bit heavy but the round capacity is more so it makes sense i love my xd i gave up the other ones
I have the shield 2.0 it’s a very nice smooth gun only con to me is mag capacity but they do have aftermarket parts to add… I made mine a 12+1 by adding a +4 mag extension… Just purchased the xd9 sc tried it out they are just as smooth just heavier imo
Im deciding between the glock 26 vs sc xd9 for my ccw. The XD9 is ergonomic, shoots better than the 26, has nice safety features EXCEPT for the damn grip safety. Grip safety makes me nervous. So Im stuck😢
I was also unsettled by the grip safety at first but now I'm super confident in its ability to keep the gun from firing unless I'm deliberately holding it in my hand and pulling the trigger. It's made for pulling out and being ready to point and shoot without thinking to release a safety or flip any switches. Once you're comfortable with the gun it'll feel safe and smart to you, DO IT!
they spiced up the grip to give it a better look, arguable but the Gen1 works just fine but i guess maybe the front sight might be the only value with going to a gen2, either one works, my favorite is the gen1, the main positive for me is the release works for left hand, i know how to use both releases even as a lefty i just prefer this one
People not liking the handle reading GrpZone is all the complaints i see on here, other then that everyone seems to like the gun it's self and it's performance and of course a new look creates a new product to sell.
I own the Springfield XD-9mm & yes I agree it’s heavy & a little bulky!! I mostly carry the S&W M&P Shield .45 as my EDC. It’s a single stack & less heavy!!!!! I also carry the Taurus 605 .357 magnum 2” snub nose!!! I absolutely love both the .45 & .357 magnum caliber
$550 seems to be the price I see most often these days here in Cali. I own this and it’s not a bad gun but I highly recommend checking out the S&W Shield for about the same price for concealed carry. Again I own both and the XD stays at home and I carry my Shield .40 Caliber mostly, sometimes my Glock 26 or my Sig P238 if I need a pocket gun but the Shield is definitely my favorite carry gun, they just feel so good in the hand, compact and shoot very accurately and reliably. It’s thin profile makes it one of the easiest firearms to conceal.
By all of your neg comments it sounds like you have an issue with Glock. I have a G22,23,30,33 and I would have had a 19 but they were sold out so I ended up With the springfield xd 9 subcompact.
Glocks are a fad? Lol. They have been popular especially with law enforcement for decades for a reason. I would hardly call Glocks trash as they are very accurate and reliable firearms. I own a Glock 19 and a 26 along with this XD. Their is nothing wrong with the XD, the bore axis is a little high compared to Glocks, they are kinda bulky for a sub compact but mine shoots fine. A lot of people do not like the grip safely because if you get in a life or death struggle and can’t get a good, firm purchase on the grip while you are fighting off an attacker the gun isn’t going to go bang. Personal preference, others like the additional safety. Again not a bad gun but I tend to leave it at home and bring along my Glock, Sig, or S&W. In my opinion a much better choice for concealed carry is the S&W Shield, I own the 9mm and .40 Caliber. I usually carry the Shield .40 as it is my overall favorite concealed carry followed by my Glock 26 because it just shoots so damn well.....
This is the better version than the mod 2 I have every xd in every cal except this one in the video I will be getting this soon to add to my collection. But if anyone wants to know this version is better than the mod 2.

I just got one pretty good deal I carry a shield but it’s only 8+1 well the shield I got think it’s the first gen
I actually already own one of these but I like seeing others opinion on it. I'm super happy with mine.
Just purchased this gun today, they gave me a delay 🙄 But its well worth it! 🙌🏾

Just bought one today I can’t wait to open it in 10 days thank you so much for this video you rock dude🙏🏽
10 days!? I'd be decided on like 2-3 other pistols if I had to wait that long on a gun haha
Had mine since 2009, thousands of rounds and a few pistol courses. Only issue was the roll pin going through the top cracked and I replaced it with a heavy duty one from brownells. They may have fixed that issue by now. Other than that, it’s a great “glock” alternative.
Better than Glock imo
Can't wait to get my hands on this gun, my wife is getting mines next month for my birthday 🤗
I ah take it off yo hip cop
@Billy White What are you talking about buddy?
Mines got me one today 😂
I think I need a new wife lmao
Mines are dangerous
Thanks man. Great video for a newbie like me
Really like this firearm. The double stack magazine/grip fits my hand better than a single stack like the XDS or XDS mod 2, as example.
Just got one , very pleased.
I got mine at Palmetto State armory on a daily deal for $279. Love this gun!
How you get that such of a deal ??
Alexis Adame Nava I wish I would have bought two now
Palmetto does deals that low???!!!
It was probably used. There's no way they would sell a new one like that.
Im getting mines soon 🔥

Sig shits on XD you got that right. One magazine is pretty lame but it is what it is.
As someone who is on the fence about picking up an XD9 Sub-compact or a P365, I'm curious: What do you prefer about the P365?
I just bought one. Excited to get it, had to do the 10 day wait period
How was it picking it up brotha? I go tomorrow to pick mine up I’m nervous

what is the difference between gen 1 and 2? only a different grip or some other differences also?

Practice often and stay prepared
I can’t find this vid on ur channel besides the recommendation
U should get a tlr-6 with it
I'm thinking of this instead of the sig or glock
Get a sig. that’s coming from a Glock guy.
Where did you get your XD9 from ?
Out of state in Arizona
Just found one at my local shop for 450. Couldn’t pass up the deal
Where are you from ? That pretty high for an XD Gen 1

they discontinued the MOD 2 and Springfield won't say why..

They discontinued the mod 2 for the hellcat although the mod 2 is better.
I could care less what it says on the grip as long as it does what it's designed for Bang.
I have it and use as my CCW. But it’s too heavy compared to the S&W M&P Shield.
Get the hellcat … that’s what I have an I love it an can’t go wrong with all the rounds it can carry
Heavy? I dont seem to notice or mind the extra capacity.

You really must dislike Glock lol I had a 17
And I’m going with a xd9
How much did you pay for it in CA?
499+tax so 5 and some change
I bought one today in CA, $469 + tax + background check + safety card (mine was expired). And the CA version is 10+1
I see them going for $474.99 where I'm from in northern CA.
