Thank you! -John
John's face at 5:14 was perfect. Somehow, I had a feeling a Sake called Cowboy would prompt that very reaction. :-)
Nice to hear from you again and -- YES!! That sake kicked my ass real bad. More like a kick to the face!! -J
Thank you! Yup, that Cowboy was some seriously serious Sake. But you took one for the team, and we appreciate the sacrifice! :-)
Great quality video looking forward for more videos :)
Love the videos, little apprehensive about the sewage one coming up. lol
So was I when I decided to make it but it's hard to pass up another toilet story with my good friend Joseph who did the Toto toilet episode a few years back. -John
Another first-rate video in this excellent series.
Thanks John! another good video clip!

waiting for new vids my fav channel right now :D
Sake is strong stuff. I had a sip of it at a mall and I was buzzed silly. You drink three of those and you might as well say, "Sake to me" and it will knock you right out.
One sake, two sake, three sake,Hits the floor wakes up next morning on a bench somewhere
I have been waiting for this! :3
love the show wish i could come and be a part of the show or just to look around .
Until the end of the video he was already drunk !! 😉😂😂😂😂
The moment when you see this video AWW YEAH!
Me too. YEAH!
I didn't know you got internet way up in that solar orbit jeb! I'll be there is 70 years or so, hang in there!
I didn't expect a WALL of sake shot machines lol
I love how professional the videos are. Great work! Its like a TV show.
Thank you for trying the cowboy. We were betting on which 5 you were going to try. Also what do you ask for when you want to get the rail pass before arriving in Japan?
God I love this channel ❤️😍
The best channel on YT, in my opinion.
Where do you get the initial cup and do you have to return it? Love your shows. Can't believe this isn't on travel channel or Discovery. Amazing quality videos and content. Thank you as always or these!
It's shown at 2:12 in the video. Return it at the sake cup tray near the register. THANK YOU for the wonderfully nice comment :) -John
Love this kind of videos, you make amazing videos that makes me want to go to Japan!
Love your videos man!
Japan is really extraordinary... vending machine heaven
John I have a question what made you move to Japan🎌🇯🇵 also i love all your episodes keep it up also. Also i am from Canada 😄🇨🇦
YAY new episode!!
John, when you were talking about New Years, does New Years in Japan fall on the same date as the u.s?
It does. The new year holiday is called "shou-gatsu" and it's usually from 12/29 to 1/5 or so.
On the 1st, people visit the shrine for hatsumode, the first prayer of the year. Special foods galore! It's not a time to go to countdown parties like the west ... Nearly everyone is with family at home watching NHK's New Year show. Haha! But you can go to a temple where they ring a bell 108 times from midnight on. -John
when i turn 20..... this is at the top of my bucket list
your videos are awsome!!!
awesome video as always
Amazing work!
your Show should be on NHK
I sometimes report for NHK. Check out TOKYO EYE this week :) www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/tv/tokyoeye2020/ -john
I hope you can do an episode about voice acting in Japan or something like that :D
I will take a sake machine here in Canada in my hometown any day!!!! To be able to taste such a variety of Sake is so cool!! And definitely fun
there's gonna be a sake vending machine me so I'm purty excited
near me*
That would be cool here in Atlanta, USA. I tried sake for the first time at JapanFest Duluth, Ga. this Sept. and would like to try more and find some I like.
Any chance you could ever do a video tour of the Bandai model factory? I am a scale model builder and they make the best models. Would love to see your take on model building in Japan (especially of Gundam models). Thanks for another great video. Watching your videos are what allowed me to convince my wife into booking a trip to Japan next summer.
Yes please or any of the re-ment small scale miniatures they have.
It's been a while since I've watched this video. Had to come back and watch it after talking about the vending machines with my oldest son.
that pretty blue bottle you picked....is it any good? ahaha, i usually only drink sweet sake, and is interested in the kit kat sake, but i believe it's no longer available, have you tried it john? i think i'll put this place in my itinerary, thank you for sharing!
I love that trains... 😄😄
I didn't know about the Tokyo Wide Pass ! :)
I was surprised by the KANTO PASS which was a little cheaper, but this new one allows for a little further Shinkansen trips on the Joetsu line. Perfect for Karuizawa to escape the summer heat too! Stop in Utsunomiya for Gyoza!! Thanks for the comment :) john
Yeah , Those Sake Cups are unbelievably Expensive at the market . We buy those as its customery to drink sake in a accepted traditional manner while You are in Japan . But, Ones We are at our own ,We use very big tumblers to drink sake as Cups are so small and alchole % of sake varieties are only to 8% to 14 or 16. And We always buy 1.8 or 2.8 L Sake Pks. Its really very very Interesting to spend some time of Your Life in Japan .
What an amazing place! I wish I had a Sake Vending Machine at home! :)
ECHIGO YUZAWA IS WHERE I GO EVERY YEAR TO DRIVE TO YONEYAMA TO SEE MY OJIICHAN AND OBACHAN!!!!
If you are looking for a sake that has no habits and is like fresh water, you should choose Jouzen Mizunogotoshi.
Where there is good rice and good water, there is always good sake, so please look for it in other areas as well.
Although general sales are limited, sake lovers should definitely try Doburoku, which is the origin of sake.
The flavors are very rich and pristine and strong, but the individual differences are very interesting.
Some of them have fruity and refreshing flavors reminiscent of citrus fruits, as well as a slight carbonation that makes it hard to believe it is sake.
Dude, you and that happy man statue look like brothers 😆
Brother from another mother. -J
yeeeeyyy a neww episode finally
its always good to see a new episode of only in japan
John, can you please make a video about Japan's car culture, like JDM, moutain drifting etc.?
Good show, I'm looking forward for more Only in Japan museum videos.
Yes, the museum of SEWAGE!! This episode is gonna stink up the Internet :) -John
For someone who has never had Sake, what do you recommend for the first time?
Gary Hardin I recommend "HAKKAISAN" or "KUBOTA" because they're pretty smooth and help people ease into other sake with more personality. Don't get the cheapest one. Go for mid level and you never go wrong IMHO. Those two brands have great reputation and from Niigata, clean water, fresh countryside air and excellent rice. -John
this guy deserve at least 1M subs!
Sake it to me baby, yeah!
Haha!! -J
