There's been a few good outcomes where people's attempts have failed and they saw it as a second chance. They changed their lives for the better because of it. They saw the suicide failure as a sign they were meant to be here.
He might not have died but his relationship with his mum definitely did.

@@jacobfox666 I'm not saying that it isn't bad. I'm just simply saying she isn't the worst mother of the year (or in any standard really). There's infinitely worse mothers (and fathers) who will literally pimp out their kids and straight up torture them (physical abuse, starvation, locking in rooms for long periods of time etc). I'd rather be told to kill myself every single day for the rest of my life than go through any of that. Now if you don't see those things as being worse, then maybe you're the 1 that needs to get checked 👀😂

LOL!! I didn't see that 1 coming. The absurdity of it all. I had a mother like that. 1 day (like many others) my sister Doreen was beating me up. My mother was home at the time (not a usual thing). My mother grabbed 2 knives from the kitchen drawer & tried to hand them to both of us. We were both shocked at what type of psychotic freak we had for a mother, we looked at her, the knives, each other, & both Doreen & me simply started crying audibly. It was a moment that both Doreen & I simply crumbled. Our mother was so twisted in the brain. Oh, we were Doreen ~13, & me ~12.

Doreen was the problem, but our mother coached her to do it. They are both sick in the head. But even Doreen could not believe she was all ready with knives in hand to try to hand them to us in the hopes we would both be dead! Our mother was always, & still it twisted in the brain. Nothing normal or excusable about what she did then.

I feel like the pandemic really increased the amount of times the rest of us washed our hands too. Obviously my job at a poutine shop wasn't nearly as important as the work a nurse does (don't want to sound disrespectful by comparing the two) but we had to start washing between every order to the point my friend with eczema was just bleeding constantly. It was always important to wash our hands after handling cash/before making an order of course but if you were on cash you didn't have to constantly wash your hands before taking the next person's cash like we do now. For awhile after they let us go back to work it was just me doing the job of 3-6 staff and between that, the new handwashing rules and the addition of both skip-the-dish and door dash let's just say it got a bit overwhelming and people began to complain about how fast I was going and that I had to turn off the services whenever I had a line of customers. I might have stayed if I got a raise but the burnout got real. People being rude was just the icing on the cake at that point eh? I can only imagine how stressful being short-staffed in the hospitals was considering most of the hospitals in my area were understaffed pre-pandemic. Sorry for the length of the comment, feel free to ignore if TL :)

Brain surgery is tricky....also they tried it's called a lobotomy.... can leave you in vegetable like state. Or as in the cause of one guy with a freak injury with a complete diffrent personality.
OCD is a real disorder anxiety and depression are all mental you gotta get yourself outta that
@@AJMenace14 mmmm OCD can still be something that someone acquires after traumatic experiences, just like depression and anxiety. I'm not knowledgeable in this field but I wouldn't classify ocd as a disorder. Schizophrenia is a disorder, you can't help it.
I used to have minor ocd tendencies which I quickly got out of. Training for brain to let things go is hard for someone in that position but it can totally be treated that way

Oh wow.. I would never say that to my children. My son's father committed suicide when he was 38, my son was 17.😢 I always have that fear of losing my son the same way as my son struggles with the loss everyday In saying that this story seems to have some spiritual presence to it. People ask me is there a God? and my answer is Yes there certainly is. Thanks Mr Ballen for all your great stories.😊 😊
