Same, but we used to call it star destroyer. When you turn those laser-beams on. Best is to fly it in wing or with fighter coverage. (only works with a very dedicated squad of friends)

A fitting name indeed. And true, with escort it's a beast. I remember me and my friends always tried to land small fighters on top of it, and turn it into a flying carrier xD

THE BV 238 FLIES FOR GERMANY IN WAR THUNDER LETS CHECK IT OUT
Another tactic u can use in air RB with the Bv-238: click airfield spawn, but wait 10 to 12 seconds before u actualy spawn in. When u spawn in, you will be at the same speed/altitude as your teamates taking off from the airfield. A lot of players tend to fly in formation with you (specialy when ur smoke is on). They give u cover from enemy fighters and most of them will stick with you while you go for bomb runs. Bonus: its a nice sight to behold and fun as well. (bonus, bonus: If you do this with squadmates that are also flying the Bv-238.... well, you can guess).

I remember seeing this in GRB once acting like a low altitude gunship, it was ineffective of course but damn it was funny.
This kind of content (lower tier air/ground, oddballs, etc) in between higher tier and your guides is brilliant. I'm not sure if these types of videos require less time to work on, but it would be great to fill the gaps in between your regular content. Either way I'm loving it, including your other games channel!

I'll get to it eventually, but there are 2 more bombers on the list before I get to the Canberra family.
Ah, Tim did a review on my best German grinder. Seriously, I don't know why I played this flying boat so much in the past, but I managed a 0.84 K/D over 121 battles, while earning over 3 million SL and 251k RP with it. I guess if you have the motivation for bombing and gunshipping, the BV 238 will carry you through the early German ranks.
Also, if you're ever in the mood to review another low tier German bomber, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Fw 200 C-1. It felt pretty pathetic the last time I flew it, and I'm a little sad we never got any of the upgraded variants.

Gaijin should do bomber cockpits because this thing is so bad to fly in Sim mode. I always use the gunner view for navigating because of it

This thing got me to jets back when the CL-13 and Hawker Hunter were the scariest things in the sky
It was my first premium plane in the game and I used it to play Simulator back then. It was able to make some serious credits and able to finance the grind without premium account back then ;-)

Back when this thing was new to the game and BV spam was a thing, I became a bit of a specialist. I would come out in the American SB2C carrying gun pods and take out the pilots with head on passes. I could pretty reliably get one per game. I think my record was three.
I still wish the side turrets proposed for it were included, as well as the different bombloads like torpedoes and external rack 1000kg's.

would've loved to see some goofy naval footage actually, because BOAT. maybe one or two clips landing on water to cap a zone or trying to take out some vessels.
BV238 was the best purchase I have ever made in my life. First ever premium bought, never regretted it.
Your footage would consist of even more shoot downs, especially from AI vessels & long radar guided flak walls/ SAM's by observant players.
But if you cap a point with it, Than you're truly a madlad for such a feat.

Ah, the Meme Plane.
You can see it all across the map and even land on it.
On a serious note, low tier planes actually struggle a bit against it. The shit load of gunners take out slow chasing enemies in an instant. And their (mostly) low caliber guns barely make any damage.
Should be BR 12.3 at LEAST!
Flying it at 12.3 is way more fun than lowtier, so yes agreed

Do you know a way to change the convergence of the defensive turrets? From what I remember the wing turrets are useless most of the time since they converge at a far too close distance.
just to clarify your comment on how many bomb it takes, for maps with 4 bases to bomb its 6 bomb and for some odd reason on maps that have 3 bases its 4. if i may add do you have any reason why this is? Also something that i found out when playing this boat is that if you wep and dive an engine fire will go out, this may not be correct as of now but when i played for the german techtree

I hope this upcoming patch, multi-pathing is reduced for these more advanced Fox 3's, as its exaggerated, if its "fixed" then it would force players to actually properly defend, instead of just hugging the deck and still getting closer to you to be in the MAR.

Hey Tim f4ejjadam guy. I didn’t like the sea shanty music too much. I know many other people won’t agree with me so I recommend mixing the audio better and making it more quite for less distractions as you are talking. Next I would suggest your silly intro music. I miss it. Anyway wonderful video!

"can knock out 2-3 bases" is just wrong. normally you only need four bombs per base. in a max upteir up might need upwards of six.
