A new Blohm and Voss Plane has came to the game! It brings joy to my heart. This aircraft is one of the more unique ones I have flown in a while and there is a lot to like and some not... but overall I think it's worth adding to the collection.

This is a perfect example of War Thunder gameplay. A BV-155, an experimental prototype German aircraft from 1944 that never saw service, attacks a Wyvern, a turboprop aircraft that entered service in 1953, all whilst an A6M2 from 1941 flies around below trying to avoid being seen.

Good planes flown by bad pilots dissapoints me. Good planes flown by good pilots scares me (almost never happens which is why the zero is so overtiered)
From winning a dogfight with no engine, to climbing high in the Quirkiest plane we’ve yet encountered, Bo, Fate, Stick take the BV 155 to grand new adventures. (And Fate manages to stall a plane with wings the size of Manhattan)
It’s a propeller aircraft. From the modules on the wings I thought it was a Jet aircraft

The emergency light decoration is going to be an absolute meme in night battles. Imagine a whole team of tanks coming at you with spinning red lights in the darkness.

@@makoshark40 they played quite a bit of il-2 for awhile, so I doubt that's what is stopping them.
@@makoshark40 warthunder content creators are able to play other games. Bo has played countless other games while being in the wt content creator program
Bo recently picked IL-2 back up on stream a few days ago, although it’s debatable whether that will translate into more IL-2 videos here on RUclips.
The lack of IL-2 might be related to the fact that Bismarck has been suuuuper busy lately, with writing his Stuka book

The scope in the cockpit is actually really useful in sim for identifying targets, and in general for sniping targets with the low velocity 30mm

What's very unique is the way Germany set up the Exhaust and Air Intake for the Turbocharger. That little section on the bottom of the fuselage is like a venturi, when the exhaust exits out the back, it drags new air in, and a ram scoop shoves that back up front into the turbo.

Yea the "warning light" is the only reason I'll but this BP (since the plane is the free price and the rest is not worth it). Funny that a single decoration is what saves it, tough technically it will act as a bullseye on night maps.

I would really like to see a face off between this and the Ta-152H. The battle of the extremely high altitude fighters.
A good showing of this quirky aircraft. Has that agility characteristic of high aspect ratio wing aircraft but with the sluggish acceleration and low speeds at lower altitudes commiserate with such features.

I agree with you Bo. The flashing light is the one thing since either the first or second battlepass that I am willing to spend money on, i.e. buy the battlepass.
Easiest way to convert metres to feet is (Metres x 3) +10% gets you close enough in feet. 25 years in the aviation industry and I cant help myself but answer this lol

This is perhaps one of the strangest planes in War Thunder. Every turn it made I thought for sure its wings would snap off! Great video, guys!
The fuel tanks are inside the wing spars, also the intake on the belly behind the pilot is for the turbocharger.

I don't know, looks more like a lanky 109 than a flat stuka.
with the climb rate listed on the stat card, it would take about 12 minutes to climb from 15k ft to ~50k ft.
High altitude wings , can stall with engine power added.
the U-2 could came to stall with the engine at full power at 70,000 ft
I have not played war thunder in 2 months, and I also have never bought a battle pass before. But that light is looking really cool and is really tempting me.
Me likey the planecake, seeing It makes me happy.
That thing looks so cool, like a podracer. But it would fly as well as a misshapen brick! The extra wide wings would ruin the roll rate, make a huge cross-sectional area for drag, and make it super easy to hit (as well as those insanely large 'oil' coolers that, fun fact, didn't work during a dive because the wing airflow blocked them causing serious cooling problems). It's no wonder that they pretty much immediately deleted all of that when they went to the C prototype.
But real world aside, that thing LOOKS SUPER COOL.
It turns incredibly well. You can outturn anything easily except Zeros and Ki-43s. The armament at 3.7 is very strong as well. In it's current form it shouldn't be at 3.7, but you can still be successful if you pay attention and are disciplined.

The *BV 155* turns very well, has some good cannons, and looks cool, but I’m still not sure about it, it’s different, but in a good or a bad way, I’m not sure.

Now I’m not totally certain about this, but I’ve heard from multiple sources that the fuel tanks are actually built directly into the wing spars for this aircraft.

The way the plane looks, it could have been a twin engine where the oil coolers are, like a Piper Aztec or something.

@Bo Time Gaming you should make a video on the bf-109 z model, it is an interesting plane an i recently saw one in a match fro the first time and i think it would be cool to see and it is also quite a good plane in the hands of someone capable of playing to its strengths.
It looks like a BF-109 that's been flattened & stretched out wide.
And a 30mm MK 108 in the nose.
