This woman is from my neck of the woods, she is astonishing, beautiful and has one of THE most stunning voicesEVER. She went to our City College and got a degree in music. Leonard Cohen basically said she now owns his HALLELUJAH and her duet with Roy Orbison, no words….plus her solo singing of Crying!! ❤️ 🇨🇦
That's correct...her version at the Olympics in Canada was brilliant...but he performance of Hallelujah in front of Leonard in his induction ceremony made me cry ! Peace and Love

Hard to say that one of the best vocalists of our generation is underrated, but that is true of lang. I think you adjust did her tribute to Leonard Cohen, Harri, "Hallelujah." Otherworldly.

This performance was a week or two after she first appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Her first appearance she did "In Care Of The Blues" another Patsy Cline cover (which is also on You Tube). Carson was so impressed he had her back on soon after and many times afterward.

I remember when this came out then I immediately bought her cd. What a voice is right. It's too bad the industry treated her like crap but she had so many great songs for sure. And I love Patsy Cline so much. So I'm sure you would have a ball with that as well.
Funny you talked about cigarette ads. I saw a documentary that showed the tobacco companies back in the 30s and 40s used to put out ads promoting cigarettes as good for your health. We’ve learned a lot since then. Thanks Harri for your great reaction of KD Lang.
K.D. Lang is my favorite female singer of all. K.D. loved Patsy Cline's music, as do I. Check out K.D.'s "The Consequences of Falling" and also "Constant Craving".
How can you not, love such a powerful voice. God really blessed her. To have such an incredible, powerful voice and she is in full control of her audience. She holds them in the palm of her hand.

Saw her live at our local community hall during her cowpunk days. Absolutely mind-blowing voice. The kind of voice that makes you stop in your tracks.
My favorite of hers is Write Me In Care Of The Blues.
There is a version of her singing that on the Johnny Carson show. Her first time on his show and she stunned everyone with her performance.

It's a bit odd that I'm a guy in my early 70's, yet have 7 CDs by this lady who is gay. I think her All You Can Eat is the best love/obsession album ever made. Thanks, Harri for showing this. I have the Patsy Cline version bookmarked as a great performance as well.

Yes, incredible is the right way to describe her voice. I remember when she sang on a stage and Rosanne Cash was next. She said something like, "I can't believe I'm have to sing after that!"
