The colors and textures she could bring out with that marvelous voice! If it doesn't grab you by the heart you might need to pinch yourself to see if you're still alive.

K.D. Lang does a beautiful version of this song.. and one of her favorite singers was Miss Patsy Cline. :-)

Never heard a song that Patsy didn't put her whole heart into it. Try a live verson of Patsy singing "Blue Moon of Kentucky". It's a cover, but Patsy made it her own. I love to hear any song Patsy sings. I bought the box set(4 cds of 104 songs) when it came out. I was in Heaven listening to songs l didn't have & hearing her talk. Same with the cd/album "Live at the Grand Ole Opry" & "the Cimarron Ballroom" cd. Wish they'd discover more recordings of Patsy.

Boomhaur has a dope version too lol.
And covers back then were encouraged. A new good song meant a new good song for everyone to share, but ofc everyone respects the creator

From 1954 to 1960, Patsy had a contract with 4-Star Records. She was limited to the 4-Star song catalog and could not record other independent songwriter's songs. She recorded country, rockabilly and gospel songs during this period, but never had a hit other than with "Walkin' After Midnight" in 1957. "3 Cigarettes in an Ashtray" was recorded during this period, on April 25, 1957, but it never became a hit. After that contract expired, she signed directly with Decca Records and started on the road to success, only for it to end with the tragic plane crash in 1963.

One of the only singers that can be compared to Patsy Cline is Connie Smith. Would love to hear you react to her! She’s called the “Queen of Broken Hearts”. Good songs: “I Can’t Remember”, “Ribbon of Darkness”, and “Where is My Castle”

She had so much control over her voice, it’s truly an instrument! Then add the depth of emotion. She’s my absolute favorite. I heard before she got radio play she would stand on the street corner and sing for hours every day. It’s amazing what dedication can bring.

This is one of my favorite Patsy Cline songs & I've never seen anyone react to it before, so thank you! She has such an extensive catalogue, but most people focus on Walking After Midnight & Crazy. I really appreciate you diving a little deeper, because she's worth it. Another one which I think is unfairly overlooked is A Poor Man's Roses (Or A Rich Man's Gold).

I would love to see you guys go down the Asleep At The Wheel trail a few times. "Smoke That Cigarette," "Boogie Back to Texas," "Route 66," " The Letter That Johnny Walker Read." This is what's called Western Swing. Originated by the Great Bob Wills, still the King in Texas, George Strait is only the Prince. Western Swing is basically dance music with a quick beat and a western flare.

I love anything Patsy, keep 'em coming. But I looked through your very large list of videos and was surprised not to see one reaction to who many feel is the GOAT of pop vocalists: Barbra Streisand. Barbra is the only recording artist to debut an album at #1 in six consecutive decades, so there's hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, and even soon to be in the 2020s to explore, not to mention some of her iconic duets with many of the greatest artists ever. This video is a clip from the 1976 version, the best one imo, of "A Star Is Born;" Barbra is singing the love theme from the movie, "Evergreen" which she Co-wrote and won an Oscar for, like Lady Gaga would do 42 years later with "Shallow." I hope you will do a reaction and it may start you on a journey to listen to more. Like Patsy, Barbra will draw you in to every word of a lyric but in a different way; she's a master at it.
