Patsy has no rivals; she was a consumate artist and her voice is immediately recognizable. I grew up on Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline; two artists gone too soon, but still loved even today✨💖🌹🙏🏻🇺🇸
I was a Senior in High School when she died in that plane crash. She had already had many crossover hits from pop and country and many of us felt the loss. I still love her singing and songs. This one would be so great to slow dance to as so many of her others were as well. Thanks
@@angietroy5360 I AGREE! Dottie West could wail like no other. Her duet album with Don Gibson was amazeballs. Maybe we should picket Britt to react to Dottie West, specifically her version of Almost Persuaded.
There is a movie about Patsy called Sweet Dreams its about her life as a singer and the rocky relationship she had wt her husband. I think you would enjoy it she didnt really have the best life but strong woman hardly do!! Nice reaction to my favorite female country singer!!! gone tooooo soon
I really love your reactions, you will never go wrong with Patsy Cline one of the greatest ever and she helped Loretta and others get started. she could have done any genre I'm glad she chose country. God must have needed a special angel for his choir she was taken from us far too soon
Patsy Cline was theeee best at her craft..she will never be replaced.....her life could have been over after an automobile accident that left her with facial scars, reason why she wore bangs a lot after the accident, but her singing was still the best ever....thank you for another great reaction for Patsy the Queen of country
I live in Nashville, was born and raised there, I mother used to sing all of these Patsy Cline songs to me as a little boy, my mothers name was Patricia, RIP Mom and Patsy.
Probably the greatest female voice of all time. Even now, she is still a legend that female singers (country anyway) aspire to. When you are a hero to the likes of Reba, Dolly, Loretta, Emmylou… that’s beyond legend status, that’s true badass!
There wouldn't have been any of the legends you mentioned had it not been for Virginia Patterson Hensley. She headlined the first female show in Vegas.
That is a young Floyd Cramer at the piano with his famous slip note playing style, his grandson Jason Coleman is playing his grandfather's songs just as well now!!
Nice reaction britt... patsy had a one of a kind voice. Really too bad she died so young. No tricks in the studio. Just great singing and playing. she could sing about dog shit and it would sound great.
JUST LIKE OUR ELVIS. MY MOMMA CRIED AND CRIED OVER HER WHEN SHE PASSED. MY MOM WAS A STRONG WOMAN NOT TO OFTEN WOULD SHE SHOW THAT SIDE. HAVING EIGHT KIDS AND DOING A GREAT JOB BY HERSELF, SHE PASSED AT 68YRS OLD. WHEN SOMETHING HAS A PURPOSE YOU GIVE IT MEANING AND MUSIC MY MOTHER LOVED. BLESS MOMMA WITH THE ANGEL'S ✨️✨️✨️
Patsy is the best female singer of the last 100 years. The only reason she's not considered as the best of all time is because of her short time with us
For me, in terms of storytelling ability, diction, pitch, emotion, and the ability to sing TO US NOT AT US, that separates the once in multiple generations of incredible vocalists apart and above great singers, there are two I place on the pedestal and that is Patsy Cline and Karen Carpenter....
Simply put, Patsy Cline was an original. Covers of her songs rarely work. Good to note, though, that the studios pushed a lot of these "wronged-woman" songs on her, more than Patsy actually wanted to do. Of course, as the consumate professional, she still slayed them.
The movie Coal miners daughter about Loretta Lynn has a section in the movie about Loretta meeting Patsy and the friendship they developed. You get a piece from it of the kind of person Patsy was.
I was a small child when she had her first hit played on the radio and she became my first hero. All her songs were from the hip shots of realness not like most songs of the day. From her I learned that love would probably be painfull and maybe you might never be happy. As my childhood was unhappy that was a deep lesson but strangely 😢comforting
There will only ever be one Patsy. When the song “Blue” came out, I thought for a second we had a contender for her but while Le Ann Rimes has a beautiful voice only “Blue” reminded me a bit of Patsy.
SORRY LEE ANN RIMES CAN GO DO SOMETHING ELSE... SHE BREAKS UP A MARRIGE HERSELF SO SHE SHOULD NOT MEDLE IN MY PATSY GREAT VOICE...NO, NO, NO... FIND YOUR OWN WAY HOME ON THIS. PATSY NOT YOURS.😅
My grand mamma taught me all about miss Patsy. We used to sing her together. She even looked like her. Seeing these reactions makes me so extremely happy because she’s an icon that will live forever through that beautiful voice!
she sang this song right after her hubby beat her offstage, and was supposed to sing a different song, but chose this as her last statement to him. what a powerful moment in History.
Patsy was a tough broad. You should check out the movie Sweet Dreams based on her life. Jessica Lange stars in it.. I Fall To Pieces and She's Got You are my favs
Her first marriage was physically abusive, so she sings from her soul. Grew up listening to her because of my parents, and now I'm married to her ex husbands, Gerald Cline's third cousin. I drive by her old house all the time. There is a plaque out front that calls it "the Patsy Cline House" here in Frederick, Maryland. It makes me sad.
She was a voice for women. She was very strong, a real spit fire. She became best friends with Loretta Lynn. She also became a voice for women. She's another spit fire.
One of my favorite artists and my favorite songs. She always brings it to the party. And you young lady are wonderful in your reactions. I love your smile and your sincerity.
This is probably my favorite Patsy Cline song...her soaring vocal has the perfect mix of pain and determination that makes it so poignant. Two singers who have been strongly influenced by Patsy that are worth a listen are K.D. Lang and LeAnn Rimes.
You've immediately recognized what sets her apart from the others. Her voice, of course, is amazing. But she is one of the greatest female STYLISTS of any genre of music. She had great vocal tools and used them like no one else. Although Leanne Rimes is pretty amazing also.
The backing vocals by the Jordanaires appeared on all of Patsy Cline's Decca sessions from her first in November 1960 to her last in February 1963, during which time they backed her on songs such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Walkin' After Midnight, Leavin' on Your Mind. They are widely known for providing background vocals for Elvis Presley in live appearances, recordings, and feature films from 1956 to 1970.
I've said it before and I'll repeat it often: the great writers and performers understand dynamics... increases and decreases in tone and volume... building up and drastically dropping off. Great reaction... and you seem to have a pretty decent singing voice your own bad self. ... and you hear and note those changes.
That sigh you gave at the end of her song is similar to the sigh I still make after I listen to her, and I've be listening to her since the late 80's. That sigh well never go away. A few years ago I was playing one of her albums on my front room and my son was in the other rooms just lounging on a sofa. He grew up listening to Paramore and now listens to groups similar to Lady Gaga. Patsy is definitely on the "that's dad's music" camp so I wasn't even aware he was listening. When the album was over there was a slight pause and I heard my son say "she really gets you in the feels". The power of Patsy.
Her songs was how she lived .her husband use to beat her up. But she wouldn't leave him because of the kids .and you really should watch her movie about her life and death
Not a fan of country but love these old school country singers. There's a movie about her. Patti was an abused woman, sad story. She smiled and sang for us through abuse.
Britt you are such a pleasure to watch and listen to. You are gorgeous with a beautiful voice. I would like to hear you sing a song on your channel. You have talent....
Please react to Linda Ronstadt, the Beyoncé of the 70s and 80s. 'Desperado" might be a good start. Linda won some 11 Grammys across 5 separate genres. Country, Rock, Mariachi, Opera and Pop. She was so good at filling arenas that the Ticketmaster of the time dubbed her female performer of the decade. Pick anything by her and you'll be happy. Check out the Trio. Linda, Dolly and Emmylou Harris joined together to release two albums as the Trio.
Thanks for reacting to Leavin’ On Your Mind. This should have been a bigger hit for her. You can never go wrong with Patsy Cline. You should buy The Definitive Collection cd. I became a fan after listening to this cd. Please react to Faded Love. She was crying while recording this song.
I believe this video is just couple weeks before her death, if I'm not mistaken. Patsy had a tough life, but she didn't let that stop her. A car crash nearly killed her. Unfortunately 1963 plane crash took her and her manager and 2 other country icons. Please try watch the movie SWEET DREAMS with Jessica Lange, you will not regret it. You will learn alot. But that's just a scratch of the story. Her and Loretta Lynn were very close. Loretta Lynn wrote a song called Haunted House, about Patsy Cline.
Check out "Back in Baby's Arms" for a bit more of an upbeat sound from the late great Patsy Cline. The song was used in recent years in a TV commercial.
Pasty Cline left us all too soon her passion with county music was awesome thank you too reacting too this you are so awesome on your youtube channel Britt.❤️👍
Btw Patsy might still be alive today if she had taken the offer made by Dottie West to ride with her in her car to the concert they were headed to, but Patsy declined telling her Aw, I will be ok. If it's my time to go it's my time just jokingly. Dottie didn't want her flying because of bad weather forecasted.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. Nor a lot of Patsy reactions on here, especially lesser known songs. One of the greatest vocalists of all time. Imagine what she could have accomplished had she lived past 30. There is a movie about her with Jessica Lange called Sweet Dreams. Also, try the song “Faded Love” where you will absolutely feel the emotion. They say the last line of the song and her breath and pause had everyone in the studio crying. Have a listen. Thanks. Keep ‘em comin. Subscribed
One of the best by her and she’s got quite a few, you’ll get the usual request like Crazy and Sweet Dreams, but everyone misses, “Why Can’t He Be You.” You won’t be disappointed.

You should hear some of her uptempo rockin/country stuff! She could growl like the 50s rock n rollers of the day too! Ha. Check out "Stop look & Listen," "Walkin Dream," "Got A Of Of Rhythm In My Soul," "Turn The Cards Slowly" or "In Care Of The Blues!"
it was only in the 60's that color tv came out. RCA also came out with the first remote control, but you had to point at each corner of the tv to change the channel up or down and the volume on the other side.

thank you so much for the support!! It's crazy how fast this channel is growing I'm excited to see what the future holds!! Def be on the lookout for a 100K live hopefully soon 🤞🏻!
It is so incredible to see younger generations appreciate the genius of Patsy Cline
NO ONE does heartbreak like Patsy.....all my 20 something daughters LOVE her once they heard her. "She's Got You" highly recommended!
Wait till you hear "Sweet Dreams", it will knock you out. I think, one of her all time best songs. Love your reactions...
SO AGREE WITH THAT. AND ALSO SHE DID SWEET DREAMS OF YOU AT HER LAST APPEARANCE BEFORE SHE PASSED. GOD BLESS
Patsy has no rivals; she was a consumate artist and her voice is immediately recognizable. I grew up on Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline; two artists gone too soon, but still loved even today✨💖🌹🙏🏻🇺🇸
Patsy voice was a gift from God, a rare, haunting contralto. She tragically passed at the height of her career. Love and respect, kid, hog fam Canada
That's to you, I'm coming to truly appreciate Patsy Cline. Wow. So much depth, class and strength!
Patsy Cline was pure talent. No autotune or other technological garbage. Perfect voice.
She's got a ton of incredible songs, I know you've looked through some already. "She's Got You" is one I'd recommend.
I was a Senior in High School when she died in that plane crash. She had already had many crossover hits from pop and country and many of us felt the loss. I still love her singing and songs. This one would be so great to slow dance to as so many of her others were as well. Thanks
I think you would really like the movie Sweet Dreams about the life of Patsy Cline!
Yes!! Patsy Cline was someone you didn't mess with. She would TRULY tell you how it is!!
Patsy initiated so much emotion and unique styles into her music than others have tried to imitate, poorly but tried. Still the best pipes ever!!
she is great!!
I love your analysis of her. She was a force to be reckoned with. That is why ladies Like Loretta Lynn and Dottie West were loyal friends of hers.
Dottie West is my favorite. No one reacts to her songs. What a shame.
@@angietroy5360 I AGREE! Dottie West could wail like no other. Her duet album with Don Gibson was amazeballs. Maybe we should picket Britt to react to Dottie West, specifically her version of Almost Persuaded.

A TOP ONE PERCENTAGE OF ANYONE WHO EVER SANG A SONG ANYWHERE. JUST LOVE HER!!!!
There is a movie about Patsy called Sweet Dreams its about her life as a singer and the rocky relationship she had wt her husband. I think you would enjoy it she didnt really have the best life but strong woman hardly do!! Nice reaction to my favorite female country singer!!! gone tooooo soon
As Patsy said, she wants to reach down and reach inside the person she's singing to and grab them by the heart...and she does❤
I really love your reactions, you will never go wrong with Patsy Cline one of the greatest ever and she helped Loretta and others get started. she could have done any genre I'm glad she chose country. God must have needed a special angel for his choir she was taken from us far too soon
I love Patsy Cline too, Britt, ever since I first heard Crazy back in 1961.
Patsy Cline was theeee best at her craft..she will never be replaced.....her life could have been over after an automobile accident that left her with facial scars, reason why she wore bangs a lot after the accident, but her singing was still the best ever....thank you for another great reaction for Patsy the Queen of country
Absolutely love your reactions.
Your smile is enchanting and by the way whenever you sing you are ALWAYS on key.
Go have the day YOU deserve!!

This is probably my favorite Patsy Cline song...her soaring vocal has the perfect mix of pain and determination that makes it so poignant. Two singers who have been strongly influenced by Patsy that are worth a listen are K.D. Lang and LeAnn Rimes.
LeAnn was called the modern-day Patsy Cline due her voice and I agree fully with that statement.

A soul is timeless, yes? No equal in this, her stamp was on her art. Unmatched. Were putty in her palm, or her voice PC owns the rules of this game!
Greatest female singer ever.
Not a fan of country but love these old school country singers. There's a movie about her. Patti was an abused woman, sad story. She smiled and sang for us through abuse.

Hey Britt, new to your channel, and the way you instantly broke into Patsy mode and NAILED IT
I immediately subscribed, way to go girl

Absolutely, greatest female country singer ever, and really greatest of both genders ❤
No tricks, gimmicks, just some good old fashion God-inspired talent!!!
Now that you are familiar with Patsy, give a listen to Leanne Rimes "Blue"
Talk about stringing out a note! Patsy is pure country but she has some operatic nuiances to her. Simply stunning!!!
1 word for her songs, "timeless "

Yes, Patsy is a legend 🤎🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💖
My favorite Patsy Cline song. Give a listen to Willie Nelson’s “Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground” if you like moving country songs.
Patsy was a wildcat with the face and voice of an angel.she died way too young, but not before she became a legend
One of the best by her and she’s got quite a few, you’ll get the usual request like Crazy and Sweet Dreams, but everyone misses, “Why Can’t He Be You.” You won’t be disappointed.
I have loved Patsy since I was a kid I'm 66 now she will always be in my heart ❤
Patsy is a legend! No one has been able to compare!
Please listen to Blue by Leann Rimes. She loved Patsy and you wont believe she was only 13 when she recorded it. You're welcome.
If you really like Country Music, Patsy Cline and other great artists like her there is a fabulous documentary by Ken Burns called Country Music that tells the story of how the genre of music started. According to Willie Nelson's autobiography and a documentary on her life, Patsy was a real gutsy gal.
This is a great song for Patsy. Written by Wayne Walker.
since you like her so much, and i haven't seen a reaction yet on either of these, you should try 'you belong to me' and 'a poor man's roses'. everything she did, of course, was fantastic, but i especially love these.
Patsy cline one of the best Country stars from the early 60s walking after might, crazy some best song she left us too soon
Crazy is such a popular song….To me, it doesn’t get better than This!
Awesome.... She IS the Queen
This will forever be my favorite song of hers. I'm only 32 and I grew up listening to her because of my Mom. She was such a huge fan of Patsy. My goodness I'm so glad you did this one. Your reactions are so genuine ❤ Please react to her song "In Care of the Blues" you won't be disappointed.
That was one of her greats. And let's not forget about Faded Love.
