This is a good word. There is one other Proverb I would also heed which is 4:23:
"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
"
Man oh man do I wish I listened to this when I was younger. It's not just physical oneness that should be reserved for marriage, but rather emotional and spiritual oneness as well (highly recommend the book, "Choosing God's Best"). And this is why so many people HURT so bad when they break up from dating relationships. God didn't design our path to marriage to be this painful!
Guard your heart until you've found AND made a lifelong commitment to 'wisdom'!!

Thank you for this video. Psalm 119:9 says, "How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word." The Word says in Matthew 5:29-30 and 18:8-9 that if something, whether your eye or hand, causes you to sin, then you're to cut it off. I could be wrong but I don't think The Lord meant for you to literally do this but to completely kill the source of temptation that leads you to sin. In an age where women are highly encouraged to flaunt their bodies and men are tempted to lust after them, this is very much needed.

This generation is alot about how you dress (at least in my school district it is) to be accepted and liked. Guys find you a girl who isn't afraid of being unique in the way she dresses (clothes the majority wouldn't wear because its not 'in') to express herself. Showing who she is in the way she carries herself and not what she's trying to be like by dressing to impress you with her body.
The thing is was reading this proverb yesterday thank you so much for letting me further understand the scripture.

The Father is telling the son that wisdom is in choosing a wise woman because in doing that, he will attain the quality of life that fulfills, not destroys. He leaned that by choosing a wise woman, realizing that you waste your life getting with loose women.

Most are, they are simply too fearful to say it out loud for fear of rejection and disappointment. We need to encourage and support men in this noble and critical endeavor.

Hey Tim. so what if I shared my body with someone in the beginning, then gave my life to Christ and I'm not sharing it with dude anymore and he doesn't understand. he feels like I'm just saying no because I want to get married. we fight so much now even though we truly love each other. does it mean we're not meant to be. Does it mean that because we've already slept together that even though I am a proverbs 31 wife now, I'm just not a proverbs 31 wife to Him? My heart is set on God and I ain't going back for no one. I'm just confused if I should walk away or keep trying.
Walk away. Only God can change hearts. God wants us to live in purity. Focus on God and God will reveal to you when the time is right who your husband is and if he is your husband. The key is to wait on God and not the man. Either he will learn to respect your boundaries or he will move on. Where there is peace God is present. “For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.“ God is so proud of you sister for making the decision to do life with Him.

The point is you can't, true discernment wont show you both it will show you one or the other. A women who says she is sharing both is most likely lying to herself and is just sharing her body and thinks she is sharing her heart while doing it. This is usually developed because of broken consciousness. The point is you cant do both. You can't be a wise women and live in foolishness.... the truth is, that women is just a fool but wants to feel better about herself and her actions so she says she is wise and shares her heart. Change happens when a women is truthful to herself and God and surrenders to God and his will. Only God can change a persons heart, but it first starts with surrender. There is true power in the cross to redeem one from there past.
