Listening to this song had me thinking, why is it when they have these specials about talented musicians and bands of the 60's, 70's and 80's, they never include the Bee Gees? It's always the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, etc. I never really listen to them like I did the Bee Gees.

This is one of my all-time favorite Bee Gees songs. It’s so well-written, and performed. It’s deep. Everything Barry does in this song conveys intended meaning. His voice here is strong and rich with emotion. Barry and Mo sound good together-nothing lacking.

I just noticed, Barry is playing an electric guitar, when he usually plays accoustic. Maruarice is playing an accoustic and normally he plays electric... It is a wonderful song and it makes no difference with who plays what, it was just an observation... That's it, they are still the amazing Bee Gee's, providing us fans with absolutely wonderful songs... And we still love them from the depths of our beings... Stay well Barry. Val Borland ... I don’t know why, because I love the three of them, but the loss of Robin eats away at my soul. His voice was hauntingly beautiful and it haunts me still. As a singer, I see so much in Robin that I identify with. Music filled every part of him. I watch it ooz from his movements, the way he listens to his voice feeding back to him, his confidence in what he’s doing, his striving for perfection in every note and achieving it and knowing he achieved it. When he eased into his upper range with such strength and power. He hardly needed a mic. Not only did he sound beautiful, but he was beautiful to watch perform. I swear, he made me feel what he felt and I connected with him on a level that only one perfectionist to another would understand.
I also sensed a sadness about Robin and I think that is why he had the ability to reach so deeply into soul and pulling out those hidden emotions and turning them into magnificent works of art.
I don’t believe he had a happy home life/
@@delilahrainelle7158 hello.. Its interesting learning about the professional aspect to Robins voice..I am not a musician but he definately pulls at my heart strings..I also picked up on his sadness but not so much in his younger days..I wonder if he was ill long before it was actually visible?
Val Borland ... Hi Val. Yes, he looked happy in his younger days. I do think that he felt he took a back seat to Barry. Probably because he was the older brother and a LOT of people considered him to be the “leader” of the group. This is my opinion, but some artist think they’re great and they’re not and some artist are great and they know it, but it doesn’t mean they’re arrogant. They just know! Now, some great artist are arrogant, but I did not see Robin that way, because Robin never stopped trying to write another song better than the last and he continuously wanted to perfect that perfect voice. That might not have obvious to everyone, but I believe that because of my own nature. Realizing your abilities does not mean you aren’t a humble person. I think Robin was humble, but I’m pretty sure he knew he was no slouch.
I think after his marriage, he just became more and more sad and I think it was because of his wife and her unorthodox lifestyle. You know I grew up with 5 brothers. We were very poor and very close...much like the Gibbs. I think his wife hurt him as a man and I believe that he was afraid of her as she practiced witchcraft. Magic is evil. There is no white magic. I doubt that her name would ever have meant a thing to any of us without a His money and influence. No, he had a sadness about him.
