Hi Nick, can you make a video on a dry carpet cleaning method. Such as misting an enzyme cleaner/pre spot. Then layering an alkaline general carpet cleaner on top/drill brushing. Towel drying or steaming if necessary. Then using a neutraliser/rinse chemical/peroxide. Would love if the DIY detail carpet line has capability to be used in this way. Extraction is good but customers often don’t care or aren’t willing to pay for it.
Love the reference to the paper towel in water for wicking. Really simple to understand. You seem more coordinated as well, guess the detailshop-detail is already paying off! You really are the king of carpets in detailing right now, and I really hope you find a VLM way of cleaning carpets and upholstery for nearly every situation. I'd love to see the Extractor become obsolete.
Thank you my brother! Yvan got my shop all organized:) VLM is awesome, extracting takes too damn long...but sometimes it's the only option for superior results on super soiled catpets
Great video, I love your passion for carpet cleaning! The results I got after listening to your advice were crazy good. Detailing companies definitely don't have the answers here.
Thank you for sharing all of this information. No one has extractor money. I wish you would have advised on ho beneficial a regular carpet shampoo machine.
I'm looking at ordering these products. However, something I've never understood since the time when discussions of adjusting the fabric's pH levels first appeared on the old detailing forums, and newer videos: if water generally has a pH of about 7, why wouldn't you always be fine if you just make the final rinse and extraction plain water? Wouldn't that in itself leave the fibers with a neutral pH, because it's the final liquid to touch the fibers? What am I missing?
Thanks Javier! Haha the time stamps don’t lie I talked about it first 😂 glad you caught that…that means we are detail nerds cause let’s be honest, it’s not that big of a deal lol. If it helps you clean better and be more efficient I’m happy the knowledge is spreading

I have a question. Mostly I clean sofa's and couches with my business. So what is the BEST solution for that? Right now I use cold water extraction but soon hot water extraction. Pls can you help me out!
I work for a restoration company so I am psyched that I found your video. I wanted to test these products out. We just bought a house that has some carpets that smell like cat/dog urine. We plan on replacing but right now it’s just not in the budget. I found the urine neutralizer online (the link to the urine neutralizer is not working) and I do understand how to use this but I’m kinda lost on where to go from there? I have an extractor. The carpets are light colored but have that dark matted look to them from whoever using the wrong products or possibly not using the right products correctly. What would you suggest we use?
So if you're vacuuming a carpet and you can't get all of the dirt out, can you spray the pre cleaning solution on and agitate and then extract? Or does all the dirt have to be out of the carpet first?
79% of all particulates in carpet are dry. Which means they don't dissolve with steam or degreaser...so they turn to mud if you get them wet first. Best way to do carpets is to get as much dry soil out as possible...using vacuum, brush compressed air...whatever you can...before you spray pre spray
I tried that. The peroxide bleached carpets on a new Audi. One thing detailing world doesnt get right is carpet cleaning. Just trust me on these products:)

Yeah I've tried it. It still is way too high a ph as a rinse. You need to follow up by spraying Fab Set to neutralize. To many steps IMHO. It has major browning issues alone because of it's high ph, but it will attack grime for sure
Hey Nick, Thanks for all the great videos! I'm new to car detailing (stuck at home and bored) and you have given me a bunch of great ideas. I purchased a chief steamer 125 PSI last month with the optional steam/vac hose. I'm very happy with the cleaning results, but not so much with stains. I don't think it's the steamer, but the user thats the problem. I do plan on purchasing some better cleaning products. I will use your links to purchase as appreciation all your videos but was wondering if you have any suggestions for me . I really don't want to invest in a hot water extractor at this time. If so, please provide a link and I'll make sure I click on it when I purchase. Thanks again for all you do Nick.
Hey Kevin! Try using a Bissell or rug doctor (150 bucks tops) and put HOT water into them before using. Rely on chemistry of encap spot for goofy stains. Give it dwell time And, then tamp down on stain with a towel and see if your stain moves into towel. Try agitating stain. And rely on chemistry of bio break for breaking crud down...15 mins dwell time firsr. Plus agitation to do its thing. Only then would I introduce steam....and then extraction ....bio break does wonders but not all stains come out...and you can set stains with heat if you're not careful so I use heat last

Sure you are into Auto Detailing and not the Home Carpet Cleaning?? lol I always wonder why people use Auto Detailing products for Auto Carpet when the professional Truck Mount home carpet companies have WAY Superior products! I've used Saigers Sauce in the past and been looking what is new since that product was released some time ago.. That Brush Pro 10 is like $2300!! How often do you pull that out to justify the cost of a house carpet cleaner product??
Great video. Lots of information for a professiona newl detailer who should be kissing your feet. I am just a home dad with a coffee stain that I cannot get out of my light tan carpet. I have the Bissell Big Green machine and even with their product and some homemade stain removers this coffee stain won't come out. Of the products you've listed above what can I use with my machine safely that will do the trick? Thanks.
Coffee is tricky...did it have cream, for instance? Caffeinated or decaf? I would literally Google "aramsco" ... they might have a storefront near you. That or Jon Don. Talk to them about your carpet type, an effective product, and worst case they ship it to you.
All of them should ideally be mixed fresh for every job. Mixing flex and bio together into one doesnt make sense to me because then it would neutralize the power of bio break IMO

dry shampoo? You can use brush pro dry compound...but that is hard to vacuum all the way up. Encap CleanDS 2 is best chemical I've found for "shampoo" of carpets that doesn't require extraction
@@HawkProDetailing Thanks for the response! I'll have to dry out the Encap. What I have found from the encap products is when you are trying to move about efficiently they can take a bit to dry completely, thus the search for a more dry shampoo for well maintained vehicle that don't need a heavy extraction/steam process.
Their peroxide product is really good as like a final spray on light carpets. It brightens only as it dries but can be really helpful as it is an encap cleaner too. Don't use it a ton but always great to have it
seriously I am forever indebted to Yvan and Sylvie. They did me such an amazing service...so kind and helpful. I hope Yvan can transform more shops for people in the future!!
I just keep updating the title lol. I can assure you...unlike the detailing industry, carpets and upholstery cleaning isn't advancing all that much. I use them on carpets and upholstery to this day and they keep performing
Really? What's your spotter of choice? I'm loving encap spot because it doesnt need to be rinsed and does a great job on most stains. Also what's your go to for ice melt?
Definitely a budget friendly option. The high ph on carpet fibers will attract soil like crazy though. Not hating just saying super clean's effective cleaning power comes with about as high a ph as it gets
@@HawkProDetailing I did the math and it comes out to $4 every extraction detail and $1 this method. And you can change the dilution of peroxide depending on how strong you want it. Sure you are into Auto Detailing and not the Home Carpet Cleaning?? lol
I always wonder why people use Auto Detailing products for Auto Carpet when the professional Truck Mount home carpet companies have WAY Superior products!

@@HawkProDetailing Thank you very much for the reply. I appreciate it.
It was black caffeinated coffee. I look up who you recommended.
Nothing wrong with folex bro. All about the technique and the right tool for the job. Folex has it's place.
Fair enough...I can get excited lol but I don't mean to hate if it gets ppl results
I have never had much luck with Folex, in fact still have a gallon with my supplies. I own a janitorial and floor care business.
could you make solutions of bio/flex and store it after mixed?
All of them should ideally be mixed fresh for every job. Mixing flex and bio together into one doesnt make sense to me because then it would neutralize the power of bio break IMO
when will you pick the winner for the product giveaway? didnt you say that person never got back to u?
dude you are hungry. I appreciate it. Let me check that other thread and see if the guy responded. You cool with paying shipping?
Hawk Pro Detailing lol yes I was going to offer to pay!! Let me have your email so I can Venmo you if that’s cool! I really appreciate that you are giving away this stuff!
If i could send a picture I used resolve and nature's but I can't take the cushions of clean them that way
Where can I find a Handicap Brush?
Awesome videos On Carpet Chemicals! Just what I was looking for. Appreciate it very much 🙏🙏
Any dry shampoo recommendations?
dry shampoo? You can use brush pro dry compound...but that is hard to vacuum all the way up. Encap CleanDS 2 is best chemical I've found for "shampoo" of carpets that doesn't require extraction
@@HawkProDetailing Thanks for the response! I'll have to dry out the Encap. What I have found from the encap products is when you are trying to move about efficiently they can take a bit to dry completely, thus the search for a more dry shampoo for well maintained vehicle that don't need a heavy extraction/steam process.
Thats what i been doing going to the nano carpet cleaning store
Sweet...
@@HawkProDetailing thanks for the tip brother likr watching your videos
This was incredibly helpful! Thanks!
You bet!
Bio break vs flex powder ?
Bio break all day. No question
@@HawkProDetailing can u give me a quick reason why. And what you think of super clean compare the powder you use. Thanks
Can you use the bio break citrus solv and the flex ice on seats also?
Cloth seats absolutely 💪
@@HawkProDetailing thanks for the reply, I think I’m going to give it a try and some of the releaseit encapsulation products a try
Their peroxide product is really good as like a final spray on light carpets. It brightens only as it dries but can be really helpful as it is an encap cleaner too. Don't use it a ton but always great to have it
@@HawkProDetailing ok thanks a lot man
Best way to clean sectional couches without paying someone $250 like I'm all for paying fairly but I'm also a diy person
Demonstration video using these products? 😊
check out my carpet cleaning playlist...I have a few that document the process but I will work on doing more!!!
Whoever hit the thumbs down, I hope Liam Neeson FINDS YOU and does what he does best!
🤣🤣
Where's Super Clean?
Good question
you are amazing
Lol thank you hope this helps
Show me some love with a Google review if you want but no worries 😊
Would ya just look at that shop
right?! Do you recognize it lol
seriously I am forever indebted to Yvan and Sylvie. They did me such an amazing service...so kind and helpful. I hope Yvan can transform more shops for people in the future!!
Heard a couple shots at W.A.D. huh lmao
Really? What did I say lol
How did you make this video about best cleaners carpet in "2022" 3 years ago??? We barely started april 2023 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
I just keep updating the title lol. I can assure you...unlike the detailing industry, carpets and upholstery cleaning isn't advancing all that much. It *is* ......but here's the reality: the same principles apply, and these products kick butt. They kicked butt in 2020, they kick butt now. So they're still the best, if that makes sense. I use them on carpets and upholstery to this day and they keep performing
@@HawkProDetailing lol ! Good job 👍🏼
Thanks for the response 😀
One thing I would look at is Awesome encap from Encapstore.com - ZERO chance of wicking ever
Better than releasit ds2 u think?
@@HawkProDetailing 100x Better, Its the only Encap we use and we clean some seriously rough stuff sometimes
Really? What's your spotter of choice? I'm loving encap spot because it doesnt need to be rinsed and does a great job on most stains. Also what's your go to for ice melt?
Where is carpet details? Basically this is just your opinion on what is best.
try bio break and flex ice with an extractor you won't be disappointed:)
You lost me at "leaf blower"
That was hilarious...If you want a business coach go somewhere else 😀
I'm not gonna pretend to be anything but me lol
Leave the rug cleaning supplies video if you want a video on business coaching... GENIUS! 💁🏻♀️
@@MURPHxiii 🤣
Just use super clean guys
Definitely a budget friendly option. The high ph on carpet fibers will attract soil like crazy though. Not hating just saying super clean's effective cleaning power comes with about as high a ph as it gets
Hydrogen peroxide and ammonia is all you need 99% of the time. Unless you like spending money
Ammonia smells really good in cars 😋
@@HawkProDetailing Ammonia is used for spot treatment. You would clean the whole car with peroxide.
@@HawkProDetailing I did the math and it comes out to $4 every extraction detail and $1 this method. And you can change the dilution of peroxide depending on how strong you want it. Also, I researched encap and that is a half way process of cleaning is what my pro carpet guy tells me. I would rather do a full extraction and do it done right. Just trying to save money from the carpet industry wanting new carpet pros to buy their products and get I get better results with keeping it simple 💪🏻
@@HawkProDetailing I got lemon scent also 😃
Lol
You lost me at "leaf blower"
