The jdm ctr oil pump seems to be better suited for this. The fa5/ ctr oil pans are deeper and the oil pump is lower as well, over the rsx type s. I believe 4pistions sells the ctr pump
Seriously wish you were local. My tuner is a younger kid and I don't think he's able to maximize my jdk k24a swap in my 8th gen si. Your charts are extremely consistent and clean. Whereas mine are not very clean. My k20z3 made 192 hp 140 tq and my k24a made 197 hp and 160 tq. The z3 had nst pulleys and a stock intake with a k&n drop in filter and the k24a an rrc oil pump and 50*vtc and has an injen cai. I find it hard to believe that my k24a couldn't break 200. Though his mustang dyno does read lower than most dynos. But, it is what it is. I'll most likely save up and go with an rrc im and tsx cams.
Jesus no disrespect but you’re tuner is terrible 😭 just save the money to rent a dyno and have someone reliable like yosh/speedtune/javi/pandatune do it
Savage Videos man, I'm taking notes for the build I want to do to my fn2 type r, think it has the same engine as the 8th gen si. Is that 250whp? would DIC cams be worth it in a build like this if your staying NA and only reving to 8k?
@@jesselee4405 in this case it wont matter. there was a previous base line to do a before and after. also that number is just about right. similar mods (different brands basically) done to my friends car and it made 253whp and it revs to 8.5k. the cams are factory also

I wonder what the power numbers would be with 06-08 tsx cams, 8lb flywheel, and some port matching on the intake. My FA5 has everything here plus those and I’ve never dyno’d it

Stock timing chain tensioner doesn't like the higher lift on aftermarket cams and stock cams are pretty good for what they are, especially if your forcing air into the engine with a turbo

You have me sold on the k24 bottom end for next year, just going to buy a ECU first later this year
What a fun and reliable ride
this is hype, straight up
Damn that thing sounds nice
Wow this was amazing!!

doing this swap in my 03 Ep3 soon, can't wait
fa5 front fascia but fd tail lights...crazy. definitely one of a kind. but that really sounds mean though
Love your videos I subscribed
That crossover tho 😁😁

Need a K20/24 cam comparison because k20 si cams help k24s and k24 cams love k20😂
Do you recommend upgrading valve springs and what rates when doing these setups?

I went from K20z3 to J30AC
what would it make with the drag cartel 3.2 cams?
So would DC DIC enthusiasts benefit from this type of build 🤔. I mean 250 plus some change N/a would be phenomenal
Nice videos btw have you tuned a 10th gen si
Nice setup. Where was the swap done?
Any idea if you would see the same benefit of k24 over k20 if boosted ??
a boosted k20 would make more over this set up, as a boosted k24 is very torque friendly, and is hard on transmissions.
Hey do you know if you can swap k20a2 cams onto the k20z3 head?
stock k24a pistons ?

Also will the stock eg fuel pump handle that ?
💯👍
What motor mounts should you use for a k24 bottom end? thanks.
you use the mounts for the block you have.
I use stock mounts with inserts. Not much vibration and minimal wheel hop
Hasport mounts.
Hey Nick where in Canada are you located?
Toronto
If smog is not a issue why not just boost it?
aftermarket parts cost a lot more in canada than they do for you guys in the usa
Man I’m torn between this setup or SC my K20 but it has 165k don’t know what to do…
Id super charge. I run a kFrank in my RSX, but a k20 supercharged would be sick. More power with all the revs
