- This 2007 Honda Civic Si was built by Emmanuel Burciaga of NA Performance, and is currently making 330 horsepower from a high-compression 2.5L stroker engine running Ethanol blend. The parts list is ridiculously extensive, and while this isn't a project Emmanuel recommends for his customers, it's a testament to the kind of speed and power possible without turbocharging a Honda engine.

I gotta say, 330whp naturally aspirated in any 4-cylinder car is insane, let alone one that can actually idle and not stall every 2 seconds. Wow.
Yeah man. I'm not a huge Honda fan, but I have respect for people who build these motors. 330whp is what Evos and STI's run with a tune and some bolt ons. MAAAD!

I'm a diehard BMW guy (for the not-current N/A ones anyways) and I absolutely love this build. This guy went all out in pushing the limits of the motor and keeping it N/A. This car reminds me of Honda's glory days in the 90s. Love it!

I dont see why everyone's freaking out over the cost of the build. what car can you buy for 15k that will run 11 second 1/4 miles? that's basically what a z06 will run and at a fraction of the cost. not to mention that I bet it handles like a beast. 15 isn't much when you look at it like that.

Dudes loosing their minds over the price and it's 15g not 50. FIFTEEN. It's a lot but something about n/a builds is more special. It's not easy to get good numbers out of natural aspiration and it's just a great journey. It's all about personal preference at the end.
NA tuning is real tuning, finding 5 hp here, 10 hp here... the perfect set of compromises. :) Not just cranking up the boost, cranking up the boost is too easy... ;)

I will say I normally don't like civics but I love a well tuned and built civic. My favorite is a clean EG hatchback if I had to choose one. Crazy how much power people can squeeze out of these 4 bangers. No replacement for displacement tho.
I got a soft spot for the 8th gen civic as it was my first car and this one is awesome.

sweet build. I have a 8th gen civic as well supercharged 364whp bone stock block and head. 330hp all motor is very impressive must be a tone of fun to drive this setup in a lightweight 5th gen civic or 6th gen would do low 10s high 9s

11.3 @ 124mph is fucking flying! Fastest N/A Honda I've seen here is a totally stripped out, set up, purpose drag built EG Civic hatch doing mid 11s. Although Ronnie Lim's Integra may have been marginally faster, but I wasn't around back then

I've never meet anyone who owns an Evo who wasnt in the military or wasnt old. Where is this dream world that kids are convencing their parents that evos are partical cars? In fact I use to sell mitsubishi and the only young kid I saw buy one new worked 70 hours a week if not more and mostly grave yard shifts. He did it manitance work that he tought himself without any college education and was making plenty of money. I feel like you may be projecting a lot over there lol.

But when I got it, the engine eventually gave out and it had sludge all over the engine so i had to buy a new engine and along with the labor was $4500, i was so pissed at the dealer but i mean it was used so its always the customers fault for taking a bargain. So that time they did help me, i paid half, my bro put 1000 and my parents put 1000 as well. But other than that its been all me. and I recently bought new tires on it. But yea everyone my age and friends have saved up their own money to buy their own cars. Depends where you live thats for surr. Cuz i know in the upper class area of town, i see little 17 yr olds driving brz's, genesis, sti's, or even new mustangs to school cuz i pic up my sister at her high school so it could have been there parents that bought them those cars. In high school 2 yrs ago i was lucky enough to drive my bros car to school and these 17 and 18 year olds driving sporty cars, smh at myself😅

similar to this car I plan on building my 1992 sentra although with turbo and as many people would know it's a fwd sr20de car, I'd go with the sr20de block with a garret turbo and a vvl (variable valve lift) engine and some beefed up cams... it's one hell of a dream lol... rn it's on kyb agx suspension suspension with Brian cower 264 cams, jvt racing headers and no muffler lol ppl will h8 me when I get insurance for this thing and start driving it oh well... at leat till I buy a muffler

I still resent honda ditching their near perfect double wishbone front suspension for a shit McPherson strut setup. If you've never driven a built double wishbone Civic or Integra you won't ever know why I'm saying this. 8th gens have managed to earn a soft spot in my heart though, 9th and 10th gens are blah imho , 7 gens were nothing but good gas saving commuters but any 4th-6th gen or 8th gen civics are what it's really all about , if you've never revved a Honda over 8k rpms you'll never understand the later part of this comment

In my opinion Honda is up there with Porsche. Yes they’re totally different brands but they both have a lot of racing history. But I completely agree Matt is cool
I’d the the same way if I won a $100 million lottery. I would have a Walmart size shop/garage. I’d have an Rx8, some Porsche’s and maybe one Ferrari but the rest of my fleet would be like $50K cars. I’d have a stock mint lowest mile possible version of all my favorite cars, another version to daily, and another to build up to crazy power. Multiple examples of every great JDM car and all generations.
I would go to the best mechanic school and a driving school. I’d build crazy ass cars. Whatever crossed my mind. Like ok let’s put a hellcat motor in a IS300.

This fucking guy used to modify intakes. He had something called the x intake and I bought it from him. He installed it and went to a dyno place in Ventura where I got 22 hp from it. This was in 2008 so things have definitely magnified for him. Way to go Emmanuel

The e-85 doesn't make more power. It enables you to tune the 14:1 comp motor to 330hp and still fill up at a pump. It's just cheaper and more convenient than race gas fellas.
