earned a subscriber for putting this video out in the first place, nobody is making content this thorough on the DC5. Incredible

I wish I would’ve known this information about Honda engines 15-20 years ago. I remember just aimlessly buying parts because that’s what people would tell me that’s what I needed without any solid evidence of why. Honda’s V-tech engines were incredibly well engineered

One of the reasons I absolutely love the k20 is that it truly sounds good. Most 4 cylinders with the exhaust completely removed would sound like a brappy mess but the k20 actually sounds like a race engine

Amazing step by step experiment with bonus dyno graph comparisons of other setups, this information is so key not just for RSX but for the K series engines in general. I wonder how a fully built K series with forged internals revving to 9.5k would compare, I saved a video of it somewhere.

thankful for no salt in Oklahoma, I just bought a 180k mile 06 RSX-S that is also completely stock. put it on a lift and there is zero rust on the car and even the exhaust hardware isn't corroded.

    Love these k20
Videos. Also shows you dont need to spend a bunch for bolt ons. Just get some cheap ones and a tune and you will be probably 80-90% of what the expensive parts are

The crazy thing is you picked up all the gains of the FBO without spending a dime, the extra hp up top is past 8k and not very usable.

Great content ! For k20z1 I would imagine the end result should be very similar maybe slightly higher power in each case ? If could also include 100cell high flow cat testing would be even better 👍

Siiiiiiickk!!!!!!! 👏👏👏👍. I would love to see more of these k series tests with different bolt on mods. My jdm k24a made 228hp 196tq. Springs/retainers, 4piston oil pump, ktuned kswap ram headers, speedfactory 3”exhaust, vibrant muffler, lightweight flywheel. Still has the stock k24 intake so I’m very curious what just an intake swap would do.

    • @Michael-kv2im
      @Michael-kv2im Год назад

@@Without_Limit_Auto good idea 👍. That is really what I wanna do that’s why I got the k24a first then thought I’d just get the k20 head later but now it’s hard to find one in decent shape locally. It’s my first time with k series so I’m learning.

    • @Without_Limit_Auto

      @@Michael-kv2im got ya. I already have 3 K series motors. K24K20 NA 350 HP, stock K20 230 HP and turbo K20 around 700. But I haven't built by myself.

I really like your contain and i follow it in the name of science i like it !
What i think that could let your power similar after removing cat converter is :
#1 this is not a oem cat converter ! Oem cat converter as the 2-1 split continuity so this would may have help to make a little more scavenging effect!
#2 no more o2 sensor connected could have possibly bring the ecu to weird fuel trim etc ....
But that very cool contain again sir :)

Curious to know how your Dynojet 224xLC Load Control Dyno compares to a Mainline dynolog 2WD600L chassis dyno that I have been too (correction 17.8 SAE J607) my j35Y1 put down 225.2Hp and 186.5 ftlb (SRI, PCD, MD, 94octane, Ktuner). What do you think it would put down on your dyno? asking so I can gauge how a k20a2 stacks up?
