Yes cats like to chase things. But I think you're right - they also like to stalk things, and any toy that doesn't lay low for awhile before popping into action will lose their interest. (PS-why would anyone want a shag carpet? I don't get the appeal.)
Thank you for commenting! Yeah, its a strange one. If the marketing wasen't so over the top, if it was a little smarter and didn't have a crazy price tag then maybe they're on to something. Over promise and under deliver is not a great way to keep consumers coming back for more but maybe that's the angle they're going for? :(

Was thining of buying that for 10Euros from Temu... now I don't think so, I wanted it cos it had a remote control but that doesn't seem to be really working... not even on the expensive version >.
Well 10 euro is much better than what we found it for originally so I think that helps the value propositions a bit. But yeah, the remote for us was pretty much useless. Maybe we did something wrong but the twitchy / unresponsive nature of it made it much too hard to control and seemed to line up with others feedback. I think if you had a hard floor, like a kitchen, which didn’t have any spaces for it to get stuck under and a cat that’s super open to crazy toys that act like a stuck fly in a window, it might work but that’s a lot of caveats lol! 😂 I still need to visit Temu, honestly so many videos and ideas, our brains are exploding 🤯! Yea Temu will save you a lot of money... not sure if it has unethical labours or anything like that but honestly I think other products are just Temu stuff with a label on them :/ My cat probably would enjoy it... but if it works just like the ball, I might as well just get another ball... probably I will try some other remote control toy and check reviews for the remote function... there are a couple more, tbf I think that is the cheapest one but I wouldn't mind spending a couple more bucks for a remote one. Being able to sit and chill in front of the TV and load up an app to control a toy around or even, a remote, would be kinda neat! We bought this robot called Ebo and have been playing with that, it does a pretty good job at the remote control part but it doesn’t really crate a ‘playtime’ 🫠
I'll check it out. At times I am too tired to run around picking up toys and the wand doesn't really get Kitty to run. I'm usually well enough to play in the evening but when I am a bit sick or in the early morning play time is a nightmare! hahaha
Good question. There’s a small rubber / silicon flap that’s flush with the side of the toy. For us, it’s light blue. It’s a bit of a pain to get off so I can see why you’re having problems! How have your cats found the toy? It’s quite interesting to hear from others!
